Reviews for Eurohotel Saint Denis Basilique
Review 1:The staff was very helpful with maps and directions. We came back at night at 9pm and couldn't find milk for our 2 year old and the lady working at the front desk gave as a whole box of milk at no cost, she really made our day!!! Next morning we couldn't find a place to have breakfast before 10am and although we did not sign for breakfast they offer us to enjoy their very nice breakfast buffet it was plenty and a great way to start the day. We fell in love with the friendly staff.
Review 2:The whole thing: unreasonable room sizes, poor bedding, worn out equipping, signs of break-ins on all doors and windows! And all together poorly fixed. Breakfast you should better ignored.
Review 3:Nothing!!!
Review 4:Bad neighbourhood, dirty, people fighting/shouting in the hallway/courtyard till after 2:00. We booked for 2 nights but left after we didn't have any nightrest. Now I know why they don't have free cancellation or refund! Don't book hotels who don't have free cancellation!
Review 5:Really nothing
Review 6:Firstly the appearance of the outside of the rooms, they were very shabby looking and needed lots of attention. Then on arrival of room, i was speachless & not in a good way! It was very tiny, smelt damp, cold & an awful smell was coming from the bathroom. The bathroom was extremely dated with a shower that could only be held in hand to use. Clearly some care & attention is badly needed.
Review 7:On first appearance of the reception area it was promising. Liked the fact that the room was cleaned daily.
Review 8:wi fi single was very weak and doesn't work in the room very well. Rooms are a tad small with not much space to move. Shower bracket was fixed which meant you had to take the shower head in your hand to shower properly. The addition of a hinge on the bracket would resolve this.
Review 9:Close to Metro and clean and tidy. Though not the prettiest area it was safe. Staff available 24 hours a day.
Review 10:This place was a hell hole. Internet did not work. Everything in the room was broken. The area is very bad and dangerous. We did not feel safe at all. No lights in the stair case. The place smelled really bad. Everything was dirty.
Review 11:Passage way to the room had very little lighting. No internet in rooms.... Had to go to common areas to use Internet. Had nothing in room to hang your clothes.
Review 12:Close to the metro station. Tourist bureau near by. Restaurant in hotel
Review 13:The area was truly awful. A very dirty city that made very us feel very unsafe, especially with our 3 very young children. We wanted to have our stay refunded as soon as we reached the hotel but this was refused. When I asked about the area we were told to keep our belongings safe.. If it was t for our whole day trip to Disney land (until 12.30) between the 2 night stay, meaning we would only use the room to sleep in, we would have swallowed the cost and paid out for another hotel. The hotel was quite run down. Our door took several attempts to unlock when entering the room. the shower also leaked all over the floor everytime we used it. We didn't feel very welcome there the entire stay!
Review 14:This place was just horrible... the shower head was broken and the it was clogged and even though I told the front desk all the did was let me use another room shower... I asked to change room and was told they were fully booked yet they had empty rooms...
Review 15:The location - Saint Denis. A very hostile and unsafe place. The reception employee advised us to be in the hotel before it gets dark outside.
Review 16:Parking in the garage - It's not in the price, you have to pay for it.
Review 17:there was no free parking. the staffs cant really speak english well and were not very friendly. the first room we got has a non-functional light bulb in the toilet, like a disco light.Luckily they changed the room for us after we complained about it. we had to walk all the way down to the lobby for wifi. the location was about 12 minutes walk from the metro.
Review 18:24 hour reception separate private toilet and bathroom (in the same room though)
Review 19:The place only had free wifi in the main areas and it wasn't always the best. The neighbourhood was terrible .
Review 20:It was close to a Metro and located just outside the city circle.
Review 21:The place was in the ghetto. The room was dirty (hair on the bed sheet etc.), stinky (drain odor). Left after one night, no money-back guarantee. Worst night of my life, you can'z imagine it, if you didn't try it.
Review 22:Noise at night from "guests" in hotel, constant noise till 01:30. People appear to live here. DO NOT be tempted by price. THIS IS A DOSS HOLE.
Review 23:Nothing
Review 24:We were on a business trip. The guy at the reception desk laughed and wanted us to share a room instead of handing out the two booked single rooms. He thaught we were gay and laughed again. After talking to the manager we got our rooms. I won't recomend this to anybody in the world as it was poorest in class!
Review 25:The breakfast was very bad re. value for money - 8 euros, instant coffee! I could have paid less for better coffee and an equally nice croissant near the metro, if I had realised I would not have pre-paid for the breakfast! No wifi in the rooms - poor for work travellers.
Review 26:The staff were really friendly. The bed was comfortable. The neighbourhood is nice and ordinary and people friendly. Well-connected with transport.
Review 27:room was clean enough but no wifi in the room, (and this is 2014 in a major city!) no hairdryer. Hotel was advertised as having a restaurant for dinners, useful as we were attending a trade fair, and when we got there it was not operative. Staff were not helpful at finding us alternative restaurants. Rooms probably only worth €30-40 a night and certainly not the €120 they advertise!
Review 28:Could be noisy in the evenings but we were exhausted from walking so not too much of an issue. No safety deposit box or safe. Wifi didn't work in rooms. Must point out the pro's far outweighed the con's.
Review 29:Beds were amazingly comfy, shower was powerful. Rooms were basic but clean and cleaned daily. Its a 2min walk from the Metro and perfect for Stade du France which is the reason we booked. Area is supposedly dodgy but we saw no evidence of this, as with all cities, just take extra care. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Review 30:Area seems a bit dodgy in the evening. Wi-fi was impossible to log on to.
Review 31:Only 20 - 30 min metro ride into the centre. So easy to get to the sites. The hotel is comfortable and it offers secure parking.
Review 32:To find what you need, it's really difficult to find your basic need if you can't speak French(but is nothing to do with hotel, this problem is every where in France)
Review 33:Lots of shop around, everything is handy by 5 minut walk
Review 34:poor value for money. dirty, dark. The other travellers were so loud for two nights in a row we hardly got any sleep. One of the nights the other travellers set of the fire alarm that went off for a long time. I would not recommend this hotel to any body as after staying at this hotel we checked to Soft Hotel and it was more central, cheaper, cleaner and staff was for more pleasant and helpful.
Review 35:Cocroach in the room

Review 55:Car parking :)

Review 63:Every minute I stayed after I realized what a dump the motel was.
Review 64:The moment I checked out

Review 66:The room is to small

Review 68:everything else
Review 69:desk staff
Review 70:Located in very dangerous area.
Review 71:The facilities and staff were good.
Review 72:Toilet and washrooms are small.
Review 73:Hotel is in very good location. Tram, metro, RER all in close reach. Breakfast is good with 8 Euros.
Review 74:Low cost What we expected Close to Metro, bus, trams
Review 75:Poor internet, most of the time unable to connect. Broken toilet seat. Broken table. Too much noise of other people in the block.
Review 76:The bed bugs that bit me and my friends
Review 77:The staff and guest were all friendly
Review 78:Really unhelpful staff I asked for water to drink at midnight and I was told to search if any of the shops were open
Review 79:It is close to tram line
Review 80:TV not working, Internet dropping, shower water lukewarm, staff snubbing, environment lousy
Review 81:Nothing I can remember
Review 82:* Light Bulbs need fixing * Toilet flush needs fixing * TV needs tuning
Review 83:* Location *Helpful Staff *Clean & Tidy Rooms
Review 84:It was better than I expected, I would stay again.
Review 85:Very inexpensive but good location for the Metro into central Paris
Review 86:Every thing
Review 87:Very small room and not designed well.
Review 88:No WIFI ! No Hot Water ! The rooms stinks ! The floor is greasy ! I was glad when I left this nightmare !
Review 89:Beds, toilets are old, they need to be renewed.
Review 90:Price is reasonable.
Review 91:dirty beding booking.com took money for triple room and got charged and changed to double room not happy
Review 92:All, the hotel location is very dangerous. The hotel services is very poor. Is not so good. The metro station is so far.
Review 93:Nothing, the hotel location is very dangerous. The hotel services is very poor. Is not so good. The metro station is so far.
Review 94:There seemed to be a problem with the drains in the car park. Both bread rolls and croissants ran out halfway through breakfast.
Review 95:Underground car park in central St Denis close to cathedral. We were able to park on the very wide pavement in front of the hotel while checking in and getting our bearings. Greatly appreciated. Our room was down-to-earth but perfectly clean and adequate.
Review 96:The breakfast was poor. No more food (no bread, no croissants, no juice, no milk) even though some guests still came for breakfast.
Review 97:The location is very good.
Review 98:The location. It was quite far from Saint Lazare (where I had to go for work...). Nevertheless I do agree in with price : location ratio to be ranked as "fair" or even "good"
Review 99:Staff was quite friendly and compelling towards my "non-french" speaking capabilities.
Review 100:I stay in hotels all over the world about 20 times a year, and this is one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in; very dirty ( I didn't even dare use the bathroom), nosier than one can ever imagine, the internet was not working, a horrible experience,
Review 101:Nothing, seriously
Review 102:Everything. The place is a run down building. It is dirty. I wouldn't go back in there. It was the worst place that I stayed. I felt unsafe.
Review 103:Nothing at all.
Review 104:No maintenance at all, from a long team... So imagine the rest. The room access is through a 30-40 meters long interior courtyard, so guess what happens if raining!!!!
Review 105:Perfect location, next to tramway and facing some shops
Review 106:Looked at the breakfast and decided against it. Breads and cereal aren't worth 8 euro when you can go down the street and get 5 croissants for 2 euro. The area around the hotel was very dirty and at times felt unsafe. Not a place to walk around by yourself especially at night. For being renovated in 2007, the hotel is a bit run down. Have the letters on the electric sign out front were burned out.
Review 107:Located 2 minutes from the Metro. There is a local market about a block over that is great to look around in. Room was clean.
Review 108:The area the hotel is situated in was very intimidating so we daren't go outside - the hotel room had blood on the carpet and on the walls. We slept with clothes on because the rooms were dirty. An absolute disgrace.
Review 109:We didn't like anything and would not return to this hotel or recommend it to anyone else.
Review 110:If you go back to your room one day and find the door open, do not be surprised very much. You will not be the first. Lucky if your items will be safe. At the reception you'll hear "I'm sorry".
Review 111:Doors need to be slammed in order to close, therefore causing un-necessary noise. The breakfast certainly could be up graded, from only cereal and bread to perhaps include boil eggs and cold cuts.
Review 112:The hotel is convenient to subway and metro; connections to Paris for sightseeing etc. My room was clean and did not reflect the negative comments by others.
Review 113:Breakfast should be free with room.€8.00 Continential. It needs a major do over. French speaking people ought to get over those who do not speak French
Review 114:The restaurant food was good. The heater worked well. The hotel fits the community. It is a muslim, North African and middle eastern type clientele. The waiter was cordial
Review 115:Late at night the surrounding area can seem a bit dodgy. That said, we did not have any problems.
Review 116:Considering you are staying in Paris, this place is really good value for money. It's not perfect, but you are not paying the rates for perfection! It's close to the Metro, so getting into the centre of Paris takes about 20 mins. It's a comfortable base for a visit to Paris. The secure parking is handy too.
Review 117:-it is described as smoke-free but it isn't. I've seen people smoking in their rooms. -very noisy neighbours -everything looks old and worn out -breakfast is not value for money
Review 118:their facilities, eg. old towels (like cheeze holes), old bedsheets which is not clean and poor proper hygiene...
Review 119:its ok, the location is accessible and easy to locate. staffs are nice and good..
Review 120:The area was awful. It was dirty and full of gangs. I didn't feel safe. The hotel was run down and not family friendly. They were unable to provide a cot for our baby. It was also noisy at night. We were suppose to stay 2 nights but left after 1.
Review 121:Staff were unfriendly and unwilling to help, WiFi is only in the lobby and the area itself is not nice. The bed was also very uncomfortable!
Review 122:Reasonably close to CDG by taxi and also near a metro station.
Review 123:Trying to find it in the dark on the first night
Review 124:That it was just the right place to get to the concert & it was just what we wanted some where to sleep
Review 125:Everything, there was little light the bathroom was leaking a lot. There was no ac at all and the room squished and dirty, the bathroom was very small and the bath was even smaller
Review 126:The staff were friendly
The Fine Print
