Reviews for Viewbank

Review 1:Bed uncomfortable - quite hard and with sharp edges. Also not keen on shared bathrooms at the end of the corridor.

Review 2:Nice quiet location, room good size.

Review 3:The fact I was not in main part of accommodation. Think this should have been made known at booking. Steep stone steps up to building with no hand rail. No ensuite but was aware of this at booking.

Review 4:Liked staying in Beauly - lovely surroundings. Friendly people. Able to contact proprietor for help/ advice when needed and was very happy to help with my problem! Would return if stay was in main building.

Review 5:The bed was a bit creaky. The shower pressure could have been better.

Review 6:I liked the pride taken in serving Breakfast. The owners lovely daughter was kind enough to let us in ahead of check in time. The facilites like pool, foozball, swimming pool was really nice.

Review 7:The only thing would be, we weren't in the main lodging facility - we were in another house associated with the property. While clean and well kept, the room was extremely small (though not a problem, really, for just one night), and the mattresses seemed very well worn and very uncomfortable.

Review 8:The staff, location, breakfast and facilities were lovely. We had a problem with making some bookings for where we were travelling to and the host went out of his way to make sure we were able to get things taken care of. Very friendly, very hospitable. Would stay there again, but in the main facility.

Review 9:Viewbank is becoming a bit worn looking, don't neglect it for springbank...

Review 10:Good facilities and friendly staff who went out their way to cater for our early start on Saturday morning.

Review 11:We had a few problems to find the house in the dark.

Review 12:Quiet and lovely place.

Review 13:It is very hard to find it's called view bank but signage is impossible to read from roadway, and you end up having to check in next door.

Review 14:Room a little bit cold, just to say something, but wasn't a big deal

Review 15:Location was great Room very big and clean Breakfast was really tasty

Review 16:No bad experience

Review 17:The room was big anb comfortable

Review 18:Everything except we would have preferred an ensuite room but last minute booking meant we could only get a shared bathroom

Review 19:Cannot complain!

Review 20:Serene location, peaceful and quiet as we wanted

Review 21:hard pillows

Review 22:easy to find

Review 23:Not staying longer

Review 24:Property in beautiful location. Proprietor added value due to excellent trip suggestions.

Review 25:No ensuite

Review 26:The room was just a little over priced given it had no en suite facilities. However I would happily stay there again.

Review 27:Quiet rural location, clean and tidy, friendly. The chapel was particularly impressive and appreciated.

Review 28:the bathrooms to share with others... BUT they were CLEAN! The carpet on the bedroom not very very new.

Review 29:We liked that despite having 3 children in 1bedroom, the room was still big enough for all of us to breath! The children liked the swimming pool. We liked the way the towels were presented on the bed with some shampoo and shower gel! The breakfast was good and Excellent Coffee! Lovely family run buisness!

Review 30:Having to leave in the morning, would have loved to have stayed longer

Review 31:The friendliness of the owner and his family, their kindness and generosity towards us. The room was gorgeous and very luxurious, we were upgraded due to a cancellation. Breakfast was massive, as much as we could eat and loads of variety. The location was really pretty, the grounds were beautiful. Best B & B I have ever stayed in

Review 32:Hard to see the hotel signboard especially at night. The check-in placewas at the geust house next door. This was not called out as note duringbooking, found it hard to find the place.

Review 33:Spacious room. Breakfast was great.

Review 34:Staff very friendly breakfeast was great our room in viewbank was comfortable but a bit dated would book springburn lodge next time it looks very nice . Theres a leisure room which has a swimmingpool and pool table which is free overall an excellent choice

Review 35:Somewhat noisy at night due to creaky floorboards and train nearby

Review 36:Changing from a double to a twin room was no bother at all. Delicious breakfast. Jacuzzi in the main building, although it makes a lot of noice.

Review 37:For one night no en suite was not a problem but for any longer I would like the privacy of en suite facilities.

Review 38:Lovely location, very friendly. Room spotlessly clean and comfortable. Food hot and plenty to eat.

Review 39:Don't even know where to start. First of all: Viewbank is NOT the Springburn Lodge. The Springburn Lodge (where we had breakfast) was a nice, up-to-date lodge. But we had our room in Viewbank, a terribly old fashioned, creaky place with a dank smell and a horribly camp interior with porcelain figurines and faded paintings everywhere. All the furniture should have been brought to the junk yard a long time ago: closets that don't close properly and have hanging doors, creaky loose beds, musty chairs, etc.. Upon arriving the owner showed us to our room, told us my creditcard had been billed earlier that day (I have NEVER seen this before, booking.com does not even allow this) and we didn't see her since. Breakfast was in the Springburn Lodge, which is a nice place, but the breakfast was about the worst we had on our entire holiday. Stale bread, tasteless eggs, etc etc.. In short: I've had better stays at youth hostels than at this place. Would definitely NOT recommend.

Review 40:Swimming pool/pool table was the only redeeming feature. Springburn Lodge (the adjacent lodge to Viewbank) seems nice and up-to-date.

Review 41:Our room was clean but a bit tired, could do with refurbishment. shared bathroom was difficult to manage as all rooms full.

Review 42:beautiful scenery and swimming pool on premises. staff friendly.

Review 43:at least i suggest a sign stating the hotel's name on the main road (like the others) as we missed the place and had to drive the road twice. the fact that we had the toilet outside the room.

Review 44:we stayed just for one night and staff where very friendly, nice vintage rooms with country views. very good b'fast and nice people, good parking and would recommend it. the use of laptop was very good.

Review 45:Accommodations were spacious and comfortable. Having access to an indoor pool, pool table and foosball table made the trip even more enjoyable for our 12 year old! Breakfast was delicious and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Review 46:If you want to live in a Scottish home for a bit, this is the perfect opportunity. The house, the garden, the pool, the dining area, everything was beautiful. The rooms very comfortable, I felt like home. We also used the indoor pool, which was very clean and warm. The breakfast was served in a very lovely house. We enjoyed that we had a lot of privacy, as we barely saw the owners, so it felt like we had rented the whole property. The location is accessible, outside a village, 10 miles from Inverness.

Review 47:Less than easy to find. Would be useful to have a signpost located at the main road showing location.

Review 48:Comfortable, homely and clean. Will use again if working up this way.

Review 49:Everything the couple that own it knows what they are doing, and doing it exceptionaly well. The place is clean the meals were excellent, I would recommend this place to everyone. Thanks for a nice time.
