Review 1：We were TOLD we had been upgraded to a better room and then charged for it. On discovering this, after having checked out, I rang to challenge it and was told the extra charge was because we had been upgraded even though we were not given a choice. I resent having to pay for something I did not request.

Review 5：Got up early to give us breakfast. 5 mins from local pub with food. Comfy, quiet room, everything good quality, food, furniture etc, extras in the bathroom, sweet on the pillow, water with tea and coffee, extras that make a difference.

Review 11：This is a top class B&B. We are two friends and had the 'twin' room which is actually a neat bedroom each with a large shared bathroom. It is ideal, with everything you could possibly need. It's lovely and quiet, the breakfast is excellent and you can park the car outside. If we are in the area again we shall be back.

Review 39：We loved everything about the Newark Lodge Guest House. We had bedroom no: 2 it was first class,everything was perfect in every detail, the bed was so comfortable you just sank into it. The whole place was delightfull and the breakfast was superb. You cannot get better than this!!!!!
Review 40：I was warmly welcomed, by name, at the door and enjoyed a very pleasant stay. The location is quiet and I found the bed to be very cozy. Breakfast was freshly cooked with lovely thick sliced bacon. The owner is clearly very experienced at running a guest house and there were plenty of thoughtful details (extension lead in the room, de-icer available by the front door, etc)

The owner, Mike, was a very pleasant man who made you feel very welcome. He also made a very good breakfast! If we are in the area again we will have no hesitation in returning there.

Review 44：Lovely house, situated off the main road so quiet. Breakfast is excellent with a great choice. TV could be turned very easily which makes a change. Intenet was easy to connect, powerful and consistent. Owners were very friendly and available whenever needed. It may seem far away from everywhere, but it is close to the A1, close to Newark and there are lots of restaurants nearby.
