Reviews for Hotel El Greco
Review 1:Nothing to report
Review 2:A family-run hotel that made me feel part of the family! So helpful in helping me plan my visit. I was really glad to have found the El Greco.
Review 3:- very small shower and bathroom - the toilet tank needs about 10 min to fill (but the owners know the problems)
Review 4:- very kind, friendly and helpful owner - nice view from the balcony - quiet but in the middle of the city
Review 5:pressure of shower water is reduced and the shower needs a bit longer curtain.
Review 6:excellent happy and helpful stuff, clean, good facilities, elevator for luggage, very good location and easy parking.
Review 7:We arrived from the overnight Rhodes Ferry and were allowed into our room early which was hugely appreciated. Everything about the hotel was excellant. The breakfast was great. We greatly appreciated the advice on places to explore. The hotel is in the heart of Sitea which is a nice town as it is not too touristed.
Review 8:No complaints!
Review 9:The El Greco is well-located, a few short blocks from the waterfront on a quiet street. My room was large, airy and with a pleasant bathroom and kitchenette. Furnishings were simple, but very adequate and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was fine. Above all, the family owners were all extremely friendly and gave helpful advice about my travel plans. The El Greco is extremely good value and I would strongly recommend it.
Review 10:Very low pressure shower.
Review 11:Very helpful front desk staff who walked me back to the car as we left in far away to walk to the hotel as it is hard to find.
Review 12:Friendly staff, huge room for one person with lovely balcony. Good location close to town centre. Breakfast buffet spread, quite good. Air con, clean linen and towels. Extremely good value for money
Review 13:A minor shortcoming was the shower which was only handheld, but it was manageable.
Review 14:The staff was really friendly and helpful. The room was large and comfortable. Double glazed windows helped greatly. The hotel was also quiet inside. The location was great, about 5 to 10 minutes from the bus station and the archaeological museum which is located just across from it.
Review 15:Bathroom clean, but needs updating. Shower curtain did not reach ceramic shower tray, so you could not avoid getting the floor wet and slippery. Still great value overall.
Review 16:Really friendly staff. Owner moved his car so we could have his parking space outside hotel. Very good breakfast for the price of the hotel. Room clean and bed comfortable.
Review 17:Kettle would be handy, tv Greek channels only, mattress a bit hard but that seems to be normal for Crete
Review 18:Friendly family run, given a double bed sea view room as quiet, very nice room, washing line thingy on balcony, air con style heating
Review 19:Low water pressure from the shower
Review 20:Very nice and friendly staff. Great location, beautiful sea view to the Marina. Thank you Dimitris, and hosts at Hotel El Greco! Highly recomended.
Review 21:WiFi bit weak. Room smelling of smoke.
Review 22:Really friendly, helpful people. Made all the difference that they were flexible and let us keep the room an extra night with no notice and helped us find a laundry service, etc. Nice room with a great view. Very clean BUT it did smell of smoke and I'd asked for non-smoking. Just a little, but not pleasant. Great location, tucked back from the bars, etc and lovely balcony to sit in the sun and watch the town. Most of all, just so friendly.
Review 23:The shower is somewhat primitive, which seems to be the same in most cheaper hotels. The toilet did not work properly, but they promised to fix it.
Review 24:A family run hotel, two brothers and a daughter-in-law took in a very friendly way care of us. For the "class" of the hotel the breakfast was very good, everything was there. We had a room on the highest floor, with a view to the harbor.
Review 25:Nothing
Review 26:Staff is extremely friendly, recommended us great taverna and other places to visit around East Crete. Breakfast was very good too, worse to order for 4 EUR. Rooms very clean, very nice.

Review 51:breakfast
Review 52:haha...the lift was a little scary...but it did it's job!!
Review 53:The warm welcome we got; the general friendliness of all staff; the view from the hotel balcony over the port...Great little hotel!!
Review 54:Nearby parking was limited.
Review 55:The service provided by the owner of this traditional hotel and his family was very good. In addition, the rooms were very clean.
Review 56:No real problems, but we had two small beds instead of one large and above the second floor the shower is a bit poor in water
Review 57:The staff is really kind and helpful, the rooms are perfectly cleaned and the position is perfect to visit Sitia, very close to the harbour and the Fortress.
Review 58:Loved the hospitality of this impeccable, small family run hotel. It isjust a short walk to the beach, shops, resaurants etc Like somebodyalready mentioned, probably not for the type who likes to stay inresorts, but for anybody else certainly to be recommended. I can'twait to go back!
Review 59:Nothing - it's a great hotel with a wonderful atmosphere! Very impressive!
Review 60:Everything!!!! A fantastic hotel with amazing ocean views, close to beach restaurants & shops and a really wonderful staff who are friendly helpful and likeable. They are genuinely concerned about their guests which is a rare thing in the hotel industry. Value for money is excellent!!! Dominique is an terrific host!
Review 61:Breakfast is a little odd but that is true at most small Greek hotels.
Review 62:I liked everything about the hotel. Great location in the heart of Siteia, friendly and helpful staff, room had a terrific view of the bay, good restaurants minutes away, everything you could want. It's not a luxury resort if that's your style, but you aren't paying for that either/
Review 63:Clean. Nice room. We had a harbor view from our balcony. Value priced.Friendly staff. If you like traditional Greek food and don't like tobe surrounded by other tourists, try the Ziafeti taverna - go left outof the hotel, turn left at the corner, go one block down toward theharbor, then left again and it's right there.
Review 64:A bit noisy at night, but then in Iraklion that's tough to avoid.
Review 65:Location was very convenient.
Review 66:Frendly staff, good location.
Review 67:Very warm and helpfull owner.
Review 68:It is the best location for an hotel in Siteia, the harbour and mountain view is splendid
