Reviews for Hillview Park

Review 1:Nothing

Review 2:We were warmly welcomed by Catherine the owner and taken to our room, which was spotlessly clean and spacious. We had a very modern bathroom with shower and lovely white towels. The bed was very comfortable which gave us a great nights sleep. The breakfast was excellent with Scottish produce and varied options.

Review 3:Catherine made us feel welcome. The room was spacious and the four poster bed was very comfortable. We liked the lights on it. Breakfast was plentiful and made a good start to the day.

Review 4:Built as a B & B but could have done with a guest lounge. Free Wifi a bit hit and miss.

Review 5:Very welcoming, spotlessly clean and fitted out to a very high standard. Lovely bedroom. Good breakfast.

Review 6:There was nothing not to like. All good.

Review 7:We found this place by accident. An absolute gem! Three travellers, only planned to stay one night but when our host opened the door we immediately asked if we could stay two nights. We were given a family unit which consisted of two bedroom plus lounge, dining, kitchenette. Everything was perfect even had a washing machine in the kitchen. Great when you have been on the road. Catherine, our host, was wonderful, came in each morning to take our breakfast order and brought it to our rooms. She gave us directions and information on the area. You might drive past this place but don't be fooled by the location, it is great. We would thoroughly recommend this place and would stay again.

Review 8:The hostess is very pleasant and helpful. The room was immaculate. The shower room was gorgeous - modern and slick. The bed (I suffer from a sore back) had a great mattress.

Review 9:nothing!

Review 10:The home is divided into spacious apartments. we had two bedrooms and only needed one. cosy living room with fireplace big tv all in perfect working order. kitchen with crockery, fridge with fresh milk, juice etc. hot breakfast made to order although we chose to skip it this time. Beauly has some excellent restaurants. Indian was top!

Review 11:Not being able to stay for longer,

Review 12:Having travelled by car, Hillview Park was easy to find, and provided an off road private car park. Just off the main road, and such a peaceful setting, overlooking fields, and hills at breakfast, which was plentiful, and generous. Hillview Park was spotlessly clean, with bespoke wooden furniture, that had been hand made with such precision.

Review 13:Fresh, spacious well decorated and maintained en suite bedroom, everything about it said quality. Breakfast cooked to perfection, presented nicely tea and coffee flowed.

Review 14:Very helpful staff. Had our own self contained flat with lounge/diner where we had our breakfast served. The best place we stayed between Lands End and John o' Groats.

Review 15:This time we had an annexe which hadn't quite the same facilities and ambiance - although it would be ideal for a small family, self-catering.

Review 16:Hillview Park is really convenient for us visiting family members. For our last visit we had a magnificent, spacious room and breakfast was just down the hall.

Review 17:Felt that room rate was very expensive for a solo traveller and that the late booking in slot and narrow window for breakfast was more for the convenience of the owners than the guests.

Review 18:I thought the room was fabulous and felt that great deal of care had been taken to ensure that all guest requirements had been met with a high degree of sophistication and comfort. Unfortunately I suffered a hay fever like reaction to the beautiful but strong aroma that pervaded the guest house -

Review 19:Nothing really, although you would need transport to find your evening meal

Review 20:everything was perfect - beautiful room with 4-poster, wonderful views, extremely clean and a very nice breakfast.

Review 21:The heating was working in the evening but turned off in the night. It was a little bit cold.

Review 57:We had a pleasant stay in the Hillview Park. The rooms were clean and the breakfast was lovley. The host made you feel at home and there was nothing that you could fault about the place. I would recommend anyone to come and stay here.

Review 58:The warmest of welcomes and the cleanest and most comfortable of beds. Stunning bedroom and all you could want in the en-suite. Great value for money and plenty of room to park. I would rate it five star..try it!

Review 59:This was extremely high quality and comfort. The owner was very pleasant and welcoming. I would certainly book this again if in the area and would certainly recommend this highly.

Review 60:No issues at all with which to find fault.

Review 61:I knew I'd made a good decision when I drove through the gates of this easily-located establishment with its friendly and helpful owner. As bright as a new pin, beautifully designed and well laid-out sleeping accommodation (where a most comfortable night was spent in a four-poster bed); attractively served and varied cuisine. Despite proximity to a fairly busy road, this place is a haven of peace and tranquillity to restore and refresh a weary traveller.

Review 62:Couldn't fault it. Lovely room, very clean. Owner lovely &welcoming. Fab breakfast, would definitely go back. Only sorry wecouldn't stay to thank her before we left!

Review 63:One of these B&B's suffering from 'owner syndrome'- they like the £, but not the fact that they need to let strangers into their home as a result.Every attempt is undertaken to save money for themselves: bathroom light has one of these press button lights installed that pops out slowly and switches the light off after some minutes (resulting in showering in the dark and having to step out of the bathroom to press the button again). Water taps also have press buttons and both shower and taps have the lowest possible water pressure (filling a water bottle or hair washing not recommended!). The room looks from the 80s at best, beds are old and the 'double' bed is more like 1.5 person's bed. The room is too small for three adults and bed boards at the bottom of any bed are NOT a good idea if you have people of varying tallness staying- and yes, we happen to be tall. Back pain for the rest of the weekend as a result.Breakfast on the weekend is only served for one hour between 7.45 and 8.45am (with a threatening warning pinned to the bedroom wall underlining the fact that STRICTLY at 8.45 will be your very last opportunity to butter a slice of toast you undoubtedly already paid for as part of the hefty £120 per night fee). A cheap way to say ‘breakfast included’ without actually having to serve it.As for hospitality skills, it is clear they are non-existent here. ‘Customer is king' does not come in to it: in this place, customer is no more than a nuisance that helps to pay the mortgage. When we explained that we were there for a wedding, and asked whether it would be at all possible to check out an hour later than the stated 10am sharp (we were happy to pay for a late checkout), we were rudely told that there was no chance. Jealous at our friends and other wedding guests who managed to get late checkouts at other B&Bs, we left the next day– hungry and tired from two bad nights’ sleep.

Review 64:Nothing.

Review 65:The room was large, comfortable and clean. It was better value than most places I found in Inverness. It was extremely quiet. We knew it was about 15 to 20 minutes drive out of Inverness but the lower cost for the accommodation was worth the trade off.

Review 66:Excellent accommadtion in a beautiful location close to many interesting places, great place to base from. Very friendly people, very welcoming.

Review 67:close to two villages walk in shower quiet oven, stove top, washing machine, fridge, microwave excellent hot breakfast cooked for us close to main roads host helped with directions and drew us maps

Review 68:Very comfortable house, all luxuries in room, although walls very thin and can hear movement in the neighboring rooms. Muir of Ord is well situated for touring the area but a car is essential.

Review 69:Hillview Park was clean, up-to-date and comfortable. The room was a good size and well provided with services - hospitality tray, tv etc. Breakfast was ample and well cooked. There was a large car park for guests. Our reception was friendly and helpful.

Review 70:Welcoming and friendly. Good food, comfortable room and free Wi-fi. Would highly recommend to other travellers as the location is suitable to use as a base to view other parts of northern Scotland.

Review 71:Nothing to dislike - Hillview suited our requirements perfectly.

Review 72:Convenient one night stop off on our way to NW Highlands. Arrived early evening and left early morning therefore did not see anything of local surroundings. Food and accommodation was very good value for money.

Review 73:Not the best spot to stay, we didn't find a decent restaurant in the area for dinner - ended up having very good fish & chips in Beauly

Review 74:Loved the four poster bed and huge room. Quiet with good views from rear windows. Good choice of breakfast.
