Reviews for The Sea Lynn Guest House

Review 1:Nothing

Review 2:This is a very cosy family run Guest House, the husband and wife team were very welcoming, the room was comfortable and warm with bottled water, juice and milk left for us in the fridge. The breakfast was extra but very nicely cooked and presented with fresh filter coffee and various teas available. Free street parking was available outside the property. This was a good value for money accomodation for our short 1 night stop-over

Review 3:Will book ensuite prefer own bathroom/toilet

Review 4:This was a lovely family run bed and breakfast they had no power but did everything they could do make our stay comfortable still gave us a lovely breakfast. Flooding caused the electric to go off.

Review 5:It was my second visit as I liked it the first time (it's an easy mid-way point to break a 600 mile car journey southward). The owners were friendly and helpful and it's a quiet location.

Review 6:No complaints at all.

Review 7:Warm welcome and host without being "in your face". Excellent with the children! Comfort & facilities of the family en suite room Breakfast!!

Review 8:Nothing to dislike.

Review 9:It is a great value place to stay, to look at the amazing bay, to use as a base for further afield or to enjoy some if the hidden gems of the local area. The hosts were lovely and we were delighted with everything. We will definitely return.

Review 10:Everything was fantastic. The room was lovely, and the breakfast was great! We had a wonderful time, and if we come back to Morecambe we will stay with you again. Thank you!

Review 11:The breakfast, although filling was lacking for me. The sausages were very white inside and tasted very processed, the toast was dripping in grease, and overall it wasn't great

Review 12:The couple who manage this hotel are superb. Check-in closes at 8pm, I did not realize this, however they were more than accommodating, and made it clear that I need to make sure I arrive safely, and I can sort check-in later on. The room was fantastic, great size with all the facilities you could want. The Shower was slightly temperamental, however we were on the top floor of an old building, with the water tank in the basement, so no surprises really!

Review 13:Morecambe is a place of faded grandeur, so some of surrounding streets are scruffy, and views from B & B not that great, but it is still a beautiful bay, and many things have been improved. We were mostly visiting Lancaster, but staying here was slightly cheaper and quieter.

Review 14:Lesley very welcoming. Clean and comfortable. We had a double room with a comfy bed, good TV and tea/coffee/hot chocolate. Breakfast was good, standard B & B choices. Short walk along prom to the stone jetty, shops etc. Wish we had had cycles with us to cycle along the coast as many people were doing.

Review 15:The room was a harsh red and bold flowers for bedding which screamed dated and was not easy on the eye. White quilt with colored themed cushions and lighter dresses walls would be much better. Needed underlay and new carpet. Bathroom a trek away. Would pay more just for thelse alterations.

Review 16:The owners were lovely and tried so hard to welcome and settle guests...the breakfast was 10 out of 10. Lovely people running it. Excellent value for money.

Review 17:sea lynn is in a great position near the sea front.easy to get to the lakes and other attractions.wonderful breakfast every morning.nothing to much trouble for our hosts who were fantastic.well done.

Review 18:Parking can be limited on the street but it's like that everywhere in this area.

Review 19:Lovely guest house, Clean, comfortable, good sized room, very friendly and welcoming hosts and very close to the seafront and promenade. Lovely breakfast with home made plum jam was great after my run along the promenade in the morning. I would definitely return.

Review 20:Location is handy for sea front and amenities but nearby bar was very noisy with people shouting in street quite late

Review 21:Very friendly and helpful owner. Lovely room and breakfast

Review 22:We stayed in room7 and on the right hand side of the bed the mattress spring was protruding through, not really very comfy but as we were only staying the one night it did not warrent a complaint.

Review 23:Wonderful host breakfast was wonderful could not fault room apart from the bed, would certainly stay here again if we were in the area.location was excellent.

Review 24:No connection to wi-fi, problems with hot water

Review 25:Staff is lovely, not very expensive, close to train station, bus stop and shops. Bed very comfortable. Delicious breakfast home made by the owners so really fresh

Review 26:The only thing we can fault is the bed which was a little old and uncomfortable...

Review 27:Lesley and Rob were both lovely - waited for us to arrive late after getting caught in traffic and even offered to help us up with our luggage! Breakfast was fantastic with many of the items being home made which you usually don't get when you're travelling. This couple are definitely in the right business!!

Review 28:I would have liked breakfast a little later maybe offer it between 8-10am for people who dont get to have a lie in often and look forward to it on a short break

Review 29:Lesley was very welcoming and friendly, the breakfast was lovely we would recommend this place and stay again

Review 30:Absolutely nothing.

Review 31:Clean, excellent service, friendly atmosphere, other guests very respectful. Fantastic breakfast, Leslie and Rob have got the hotel business just right.

Review 32:Upon booking the room it did state a small double .....but the room was very cramped only one person at a time could walk round the bed and hanging space not ideal ....over the bedside table. The bathroom and shower a nice size but spoilt it by having half used toiletries.

Review 33:We were given a warm welcome by Lynn who also let us book in early due to a family wedding we were attending, the location of the Sea Lynn is only a short distance from the sea front and a good breakfast before leaving.

Review 34:The ensuite had a cheap plastic folding door that did not fit so gave no privacy to users of the shower-room. The hotel's own card said " all credit cards accepted" but on arrival we were told "cash only".

Review 35:Guest house was both comfortable and clean and was very well located being near to all the local amenities. Room cost was great value (less than £50 for the 2 of us and included breakfast!), and Lesley was really helpful and friendly - definitely stay again.

Review 36:Excellent value for money. Room was very clean and tidy. Owner was very helpful. Good location in the centre of Morecambe. Can't comment on the cooked breakfast because I left too early in the morning to be served it, but the owner kindly allowed me and other early risers to help ourselves to breakfast ( cereals ) etc in the dining room. Would definitely use again.

Review 37:A very warm welcome from a lovely couple. Very clean, tidy room. Very good breakfast, no complaints whatsoever. Fantastic value for money, we will definitely stay here again .

Review 38:there was nothing I didn't like.

Review 39:I loved the warm welcome we received upon arrival and the friendliness of the staff. We were well looked after. The breakfast was lovely no complaints at all.

Review 40:we travelled to morecambe for a weekend away at a small music charity raiser ,travelling from scotland after work , we arrived after 9 'o clock ..but it wasn't any trouble from our hosts at the sea lynn ,they could not have been any more welcoming .even a small hitch regarding a mix up about breakfast being separate was sorted in seconds.and i must say the breakfast saturday and sunday was delicious and extra toast ,tea and coffee was no problem ,we are going back down in may and will defo make this my first choice to stay

Review 41:Good size room Shared shower and toilet but very clean and good size Lesley was the perfect hostess Full english breakfast, cooked to order And absolutely lovely Good price

Review 42:Nothing to complain about!

Review 43:They went out of their way to help with any of our needs. My husband had difficulty with stairs so Lesley arranged to change our room without me even asking. Then she organised for our washing to be done when I enquired about a laundrette. Brilliant !

Review 44:Very warm greeting when we arrived, the location of the sea lynn guest house is a stones throw away from the prom, and the breakfast was excellent . excellent value for money.

Review 45:We wanted a quiet weekend away to relax and that is what we got, except when some guests checked into the room above us and sound as though they had thrown their luggage on the floor. This sounded as though they were coming thorugh the ceiling, there were some other noises, which sounded like the washing machine going but it didn;t stop us from sleeping. Over all our stay was a good one and we will definitely be booking again

Review 46:welcoming friendly hosts immaculate state of cleanliness. excellent state of repair. modern well-maintained furnishings. endless hot water in good shower. Excellent and substantial. breakfasts with o.j., choice of cereals, full English, vegetarian options, toasts, jams, marmalades, all with good quality ingredients. Flexible times for leaving.

Review 47:Although we had been delayed and therefore arrived later than we wanted to we had a delightful welcome from Lesley, we had comfortable rooms hence we slept well and woke to enjoy a delicious breakfast which set us up for the rest of the day.

Review 48:Morecombe is sad...the guesthouse is even more so... The town is like travelling back to the seventies...the guesthouse makes this feeling stronger...... All very depressing.
