Reviews for Albion House
Review 1:No staff or security on site & only us as guests so anyone could just walk in or around the building. bathroom sink taps so loose they just flopped around the sink .toilet seat loose .
Review 2:There were opportunities to have better standards of cleanliness throughout.
Review 3:Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Great breakfast choices and the room sizes were bigger than expected.
Review 4:Wifi didn't work and TV sound kept cutting out.
Review 5:Staff very friendly. Good location. Excellent facilities within room - fridge, oven, microwave, crockery, TV.
Review 6:Rooms felt a bit unfinished and security could have been better. (Front door and windows).
Review 7:Our family apartment was great value. Loads of space for the same price as a family room in other parts of Pembrokeshire. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Review 8:Some people leave for sailings during the night and they can be noisy
Review 9:Good location next to the dock. Short walk to a few decent pubs for food. Pleasant staff.
Review 10:The bathroom tiles in the floor could do with a little tlc as they were quite loose.
Review 11:The staff were very welcoming and provided us with excellent service throughout the stay.
Review 12:Staff were very friendly and helpful.Breakfast was well cooked and a sensible amount. Breakfast room was very pleasant. Good base to explore Pembrokeshire.
Review 13:The kitchen was full of damp, making entire apartment smell terrible, we couldn't use it at all. Location not great, there was a bus stop outside our window.
Review 14:The beds were very comfortable, and the layout of apartment was good, staff very friendly and helpful and good breakfast.
Review 15:Drunk and noisy tenants, but that couldn't have been predicted. Was dealt with swiftly and appropriately.
Review 16:Great location with good facilities. Staff were great. There was a very noisy and rowdy bunch of youngsters staying above our apartment, but staff dealt with them very well and ensured our comfort was top priority. Convenience store just opposite, nearby superstores and reasonable restaurants too. Plenty of utensils to do own cooking.
Review 17:They over charged us 20GBP and said they would get the money back to us. It has been over 3 weeks and we still haven't gotten our money back, we chose the property for the price and getting ripped off set us back 20GBP for paying for our next hotel.
Review 18:Beautiful building that transports you into a different world. Renovated with love and admiration of its history and craftmanship. Subtle modern twists and regal grandeur coupled with wonderfully equip rooms and truly thoughtful hosts makes Albion Guesthouse one of Pembrokeshires hidden gems! Breakfast was looked perfectly and a Propper sized portion to get you going. Thank Dai and Liz and all the guys at the Albion.
Review 19:Upgraded room to a suite so that we and our friends had a whole corridor to ourselves, a kitchen and a seating area on top. The staff were very friendly, offering advice on day trips, and the breakfast was plentiful, wide range and very tasty!
Review 20:There was a kettle we wanted to use for a breakfast coffer but was stinking so much! It would be a good idea to clean kitchen utensils so it does not spoil the whole experience. In general the place is nice, good value for money and is worth staying even with kids.
Review 21:Staff members were very friendly and helpful.
Review 22:Asked for ground floor, had attic room . Very small , low ceilings with beams , seemed very make shift with wires hanging drawers off cupboard not shut window latch broke . Not worth the money
Review 23:Staff were friendly food good
Review 24:Parking is little difficult. Had problem with smoke alarm and shower, but they fixed quickly and I got discount when check out.
Review 25:The room is very spacious for family. Staffs are very friendly and helpful.
Review 26:There's no 24/7 reception, it finsh working rather early Wifi didn't work It smelled smoke inside Brakfast is not available any time - need to book a time slot (we had to give up the breakfast because of this).
Review 27:Close to Glocester
Review 28:The stately exterior is let down by very budget interior furnishings and modern fittings like the reception desk that look very out of place.
Review 29:A historic former Admiralty building with wonderful original features like the huge wrought iron double entrance staircase and tiled entrance. Friendly staff who upgraded my booking to a room with separate lounge and kitchen. Clean and good value for money.
Review 30:My husband and I took our 13month old for a break here for three nights. We wanted to base ourselves somewhere and see a bit of Pembrokeshire. It was a great base with on site parking. It was comfortable and clean and the breakfast was lovely. The staff couldnt do enough for us. Unfortunately the wifi signal wasnt very good, this wouldnt usually have bothered us but the tv had a buzzing noise so we were trying to stream programme to watch. This wasnt a big deal though, it made us talk more ha! The only other criticism I would make is that I think people stay here that are working in the area and you could hear people getting up for work at 6am. If me and my husband had been on our own we would have probably selpt through this or gone back to sleep as it only lasted about 45mins, but with the baby she was ready to start the day. Ideal place to stay if you are wanting to base yourself somewhere to explore Pembrokeshire
Review 31:The wifi connection wasn't very good. Wasn't too sure about sharing a bathroom with other guests who were staying in the other rooms.would have preferred own on suite ...
Review 32:The room was spacious, lounge, bedroom and kitchen all together in one big room. Well kitted out for what you needed for your stay..
Review 33:Being double booked on a Bank Holiday and having to stay in a shared space with another couple. It has been more than a month and our account has still not been recredited despite the promise of a significant discount.
Review 34:Friendly staff who were excellent and very professional. We suspect the double-booking had something to do with your online service. Sorry we can't recommend.
Review 35:Limited parking under building but plenty of street parking after 5.oopm. Stairs involved for all rooms.
Review 36:Staff were friendly and happy to chat. Breakfast was excellent
Review 37:Noisy & smelt damp Mattress to small for the beds Stated wifi but did not work Kitchen dirty Lights not working
Review 38:For our needs the 2 bed apartment was perfect
Review 39:The staff were very friendly and helpful. We arrived late at night and they made a special effort to come and greet us and take us to our room. Breakfast was lovely. We had full English but other choices were available.
Review 40:The rooms. Horrible sloping ceiling in the living room and kitchen and to see out the window u had to stand on a chair. Horrible springy bees (room 13) attic room. Moved to room 9 - no doors on wardrobe open boiler with screws and screw drivers tv didn't work and very old fashioned furniture.
Review 41:Lovely people, lovely breakfast, fab safe parking
Review 42:No guarenteed parking-however this did not become a problem. Breakfast was a bit hectic but this was a peak summer weekend.
Review 43:I booked this off the cuff for myself and a friend for a weekend.. Dog friendly was a must and it was. Unexpectedly spacious accomodation- I could happily stay for a two week hol. Friendly owners and staff.
Review 44:Not a beautiful neighborhood.
Review 45:The staff were very friendly and helpful with suggestions and answers to our questions. The breakfast was copious and there was a terrific seafood restaurant with local color a few blocks walk. We had booked 3 rooms and with one they gave us a sitting room and kitchen - great for gathering.
Review 46:It had an unfinished feel, cables in the walls etc. Very damp stuffy smell on ground floor, masked by plug in air fresheners. Double bed mattress on two single bases - very uncomfortable! We had no hot water on the first evening - discovered when trying to wash before bed, so too late to have it sorted. It was sorted the following day though. Stair case area was grubby - spider webs on ceiling, floor needed a good clean. Wi fi signal in our apartment was very weak compared to the dining room.
Review 47:Convenient
Review 48:The noise early in the morning from the staff coming into work to do the breakfasts - we were woken up by their chatting at 7.20 am ! The rooms aren't sound proof either !
Review 49:Clean comfortable and central
Review 50:Our room was next to the open plan kitchen/breakfast lounge, so it was noisy when the staff prepared the food. You could hear the radio, pots and pans and talking.
Review 51:It was fab having a fridge freezer in the bedroom as I could refreeze my ice blocks and make a packed lunch. The building was interesting, dating back to Napoleon's times, indeed he stayed at the Port. The room was spotlessly clean and the bed was deliciously comfortable. There was even a fan in the room which was welcomed during this heatwave.
Review 52:The only very small thing was the location, there wasn't much to do locally, especially in the evening, without having to drive or get a taxi, but it's only a minor drawback.
Review 53:We had booked a double room, but on arrival were given a lovely apartment with separate living area and kitchen, it was spacious, very clean and so homely. The owners of the guest house were the friendliest people, nothing was too much trouble and we were made to feel so welcome and they were so helpful with advice on places to visit. The breakfast was lovely, plenty to choose from and service was so quick, overall we had a wonderful stay and it's a perfect base to explore Pembrokeshire if you have a car.
Review 54:The room doors could use a more significant lock. Pembroke dock doesn't have many restaurants, bars. In hind sight may have stayed in Pembroke.
Review 55:The staff were very friendly and welcoming, the hotel was clean, breakfast was excellent. Location very close to ferry dock.
Review 56:Only one problem my mother is disabled and although there is a lift up to the rooms there is 5 steps do get up on the landing so if you have a wheelchair please check as this could be a problem if you cannot manage my mum did manage but some people may not.
Review 57:They were very helpful I had to pick up a hire car and the man of the home was happy to give me a lift into pembroke for this. The breakfast was large and although there was a problem with the beans they very quickly rectified this and were very nice. Overall excellent the room was brilliant with an extra sitting room and kitchen.
Review 58:there's no bad features I could comment on which were poor
Review 59:It is an excellent all round holiday letting. Every thing needed for a holiday in a quiet location. excellent value for money and the breakfast was beautiful
Review 60:WiFi did not work on the top floor, just on the stairs (not good for business travellers), no towel rails,... in the bathroom
Review 61:friendly owners, great breakfast
Review 62:Can't thank the owners enough, Randy really went out of their way to accommodate us!! Rooms are beautifully modern & very clean! Can't wait for our next stay.
Review 63:Absolutely nothing!
Review 64:Perfectly located within Pembroke Dock, this place is more than a guest house! We had a modern large room with full sized kitchen area and lounge area. Huge modern bathroom with bath. Best of all, the warm welcome and overall friendliness of the owner and his family. This apartment block is a gem and we will definitely be back. Fantastic!

Review 104:Quite good value for money;very spacious, ideal for families
Review 105:Rooms and hotel feel bit dated
Review 106:Simple family run hotel
Review 107:Amazing breakfast, comfy room and lovely staff.
Review 108:Nothing to say here! Was excellent value for money, comfortable and clean.
Review 109:We were upgraded to an apartment which was really spacious and well equipped. Proprietors really friendly. Lovely stay.
Review 110:I made an 'error' by not choosing a hotel nearer to the crossing for Skomer Island. In the event this was a bonus as we came across this grand place and its nice people.
Review 111:The proprietors, friendly and hospitable The space Great value for money
Review 112:Despite many reviews about the state of the mattress this had not yet been addressed. Very sore back after sleeping on a bed in poor condition. Breakfast - left us waiting for half an hour before serving our meals with added eggs shell and soggy toast. Very disappointed.
Review 113:The room was clean and hotel easy to find by sat nav
Review 114:The smell of cooking in the morning when having breakfast. It was overwhelming.
Review 115:The staff and management were very helpful and nice. The room was very big and comfy.
Review 116:The bed mattress was lumpy, springy, and made a lot of noise when you moved around on it.
Review 117:Generally, where this guest house is located is a difficult area. So, all things considered Albion House offers a level of facilities that one has nothing to complain about for the cost to stay there, bar one thing, the bed, the mattress was not of an acceptable standard.
Review 118:I have to go out from my room to bathroom although it is just next door.. I prefer the bathroom is inside the room..
Review 119:the room is big and the location is nice..
Review 120:Bed - mattress could have been more comfortable
Review 121:Breakfast with choice of fresh fruit, cereals & cooked. Space in apartment & cooking facilities for evening meals Willingness of staff
Review 122:Unfortunately our bed was broken and very uncomfortable. Same for many things in the whole building (door locks, bathroom equipment, etc). There are quite a few things to get fixed around this house. There's only one breakfast option, which was good for the first time but would have been really nice to have some other options on the following nights.
Review 123:The staff was kind and helpful.
