Review 7:The staff were very great

Review 8:The view from the huge windows was magnificent. The room was a very good size and very nicely decorated. It felt fresh, clean, spacious and cozy all,at once.

Review 9:The hotel was fantastic. We originally had an annex apartment on the top floor but due to my partners fybromyalgia we asked to be changed to a first floor and this was done without any fuss. The manager was so freidnly and helpful. The breakfast was amazing (the sausages are great) the room was comfortable and the shower was lovely and hot.

Review 10:Booked interconnecting rooms in family suite, but got a triple room in the annex (not in the main hotel building) of an inferior standard to the room booked. Did get a discount for this reason. TV doesn't work well. Phone calls went unanswered and no voicemail to leave a message available.

Review 11:Room was clean and sea views good.

Review 12:we stayed in family room, two bedrooms, great for the older children. Hotel a bit dated but we expected that. Breakfast was very big portion and lovely.

Review 13:Difficult to park near, especially because of the one way system around the hotel. Doesn't have free council car parks as stated on booking.com. Street parking is free overnight only 6pm to 8.30am.

Review 14:Fabulous location right opposite the sea.

Review 15:No parking available other than across the road but this was only till a certain time, then you had to move it. Stayed on the top floor and had to climb too many stairs which was difficult with luggage.

Review 16:no reception staff on arrival. had to call another hotel down the road. The Booking was cancelled without me knowing before I arrived but I managed to get them to rebook me in.

Review 17:The room was clean and nicely furnished. fast wifi

Review 18:Breakfast was unusual seemed to work in chaos the cutlery and glasses were not clean. No staff available on reception and as we had to be sonewhere at a certain time ended up phoning payment in for room

Review 19:The bedroom was good and clean lots of storage space

Review 20:Having to stay in the annexe. Also that breakfast wasn't until 08.00 hours. We had to be away by 07.30. The man the next morning gave us our breakfast money back but he wasn't very communicative asking "What time did you expect it?!

Review 21:Location to where we had to meet up with people the next day.

Review 22:The hotel smelled a bit damp, the owner wasn't there to greet us and we didn't receive a receipt for our payment. There was no were really to park without paying

Review 23:Hotel was clean and the breakfast was very good.

Review 24:Check in was difficult as no on site staff, no facility for communication available and the expected "pebbles" restaurant was no visible.

Review 25:Comfy bed, cuddly towels and freshly cooked breakfast made to individual taste.

Review 26:Room was not a double room, more suited to a single bed for single occupancy struggle to get suitcases up the stairs

Review 27:Staff at breakfast were great and the food was good

Review 28:Room and the rest of the hotel smelt of dog.was given dirty cutlery twice.waiting on staff scruffy and not very professional.

Review 29:Barman was very friendly and helpful.

Review 30:The fact that we were put in a room across the road. We would have liked to have been informed prior to going. We had no hot water in the taps. We did mention this in the morning that apart from the shower we had no hot water, all we got was 'oh sorry about that'.

Review 31:The location of hotel

Review 32:no hot water in the washbasin either day, was reported but not fixed. tv not working. we were in the annex on the 2nd floor accessed by some grotty stairs.

Review 33:comfortable bed. good shower. comfortable couch.

Review 34:Fabulous location for all Morecambe has to offer. We were in the 'annex'-Great large top floor room with amazing views from three different windows! The breakfast was delicious too!

Review 35:I was put in the dark annex over the road. Carpet was stained. At breakfast the manager said breakfast wasn't included even after I checked with receptionist who confirmed it was on arrival. Be warned !!

Review 36:The staff couldn't do enough for us and even made sure our car was securely parked whilst we cycled around Yorkshire for 10 days. They were also able to store our bicycles over night on our return. Everyone was so friendly and kind. Thank you so much.

Review 37:Although the bedroom was quite modern and clean the mattress on the bed did not match the quality provided. Old an worn with springs digging in your back wasn't the comfortable nights sleep we expected. Shame really as room was nice.

Review 38:Location, breakfast and layout of room.

Review 39:There wasn't a car park for the visitors and we have had to find a public car park. But also on the web site instruction about the car park was bit deceiving.

Review 40:Breakfast was good and the location not bad either.

Review 41:A little bit of extra effort could be added to improve the quality of service. At times, the whole operation of managing the hotel appears to be on the casual side.

Review 42:The location and the in-room comfort. Good sized room.

Review 43:When we arrived the room smelt very stale.the manager wasn't very sociable, and not a very good tv signal .

Review 44:The breakfast was lovely, and the man that served us was very nice

Review 45:difficult to find a resurant in the evening for a meal, not the hotel's fault and the Wifi just doesn't work, also probably not the hotel's fault.

Review 46:easy access, uncomplicated reception. pleasant modern rooms,

Review 47:The room was 3 flights up stairs, no lift. The carpets were badly stained and needed cleaning.

Review 48:Terry the chap who booked me in was very pleasant. The room was spacious and clean. The bed comfy .

Review 49:decor in room was a bit tired in places, but did not detract particularly from the room we were given. Free parking only available in the evening.

Review 50:Easy to find on the seafront. Staff upgraded us to a huge room at front of hotel with great view across bay. Excellent breakfast.

Review 51:No bar but being on the sea front you do have several close by.

Review 52:Comfy bed with fresh white sheets. Lovely room could see the sea. Fresh cooked hot Full English Breakfast.

Review 53:My 1st time stopping at the hotel the only thing we did not like was no nets up at the Windows and people could see into the room from across the road other than that very good hotel.

Review 54:--Was given incorrect information from staff regarding breakfast times & arrived 1 hour early --Room was on top floor up 5-6 flights of stairs. Not really suitable for people travelling with suitcases

Review 55:--Breakfast was good --Location is good

Review 56:Typical British seaside hotel. Took a long time to get the Wifi to work. The hotel doesn't change towels, and the annex smelt stale.

Review 57:Breakfast was very good.

Review 58:This was advertised as a quality hotel and we booked the most expensive double room so when on arrival we were taken across the road to a shabby annex we were shocked. There were no staff or bar/restaurant available in the evening and we had to phone a sister hotel to sort out lack of hot water in basin and find out the wifi code. The staff had several guesses at this before we got it to work. The bed was uncomfortable with springs sticking out. The shower curtain was filthy. We arrived at breakfast 10 minutes before it finished at 9am and our hot breakfast was brought out before we had taken even a mouth of our cereal. When we complained they were very rude saying "breakfast finishes at 9am". Another couple also complained at the same time as their breakfast was cold. There were several flights of stairs in the annex and we had to struggle downstairs with our cases.

Review 59:Nothing.

Review 60:There was a few bits of the room that could have done with a little bit of a clean, windowsills etc...

Review 61:Great location, friendly staff, amazing breakfast and extremely comfortable bed.

Review 62:Longish wait time for breakfast

Review 63:Very pleasant owner, showed us right through our room door. Nice bright and big room. Closeness to seaside. Easy to find.

Review 64:Customer service was terrible no staff to take key or see us out, breakfast took over an hour, but well worth the wait. Will take our own pillows next time as the hotel ones were so thin. Shower curtain wouldnt close, so foor got wet. Tv signal was on and off Over all it was clean and enjoyed our stay

Review 65:We had our parents with us and they found it hard to climb 3 long flights of stairs, i wish when we were booking we could have chosen the rooms, or could have been informed in advance of this and there is no lift.

Review 66:Good friendly check in, Quite place

Review 67:Nothing

Review 68:Absolutely excellent and, for the avoidance of doubt, we have no connection with this hotel, its management or staff living, as we do, 240 miles away !

Review 69:If I had to criticise it would be that one of our party had to stay in the building opposite but this is only a minor and that the area is not exactly affluent but neither of these would stop us from coming back again

Review 70:Used the hotel for an over night stay before catching the ferry for the Isle of Man southern 100. Terry who greeted us was excellent even offering to put our 3 motorcycles in a lock up for the night. The hotel was very clean and the breakfast excellent. Terry who runs the hotel was extremely helpful and we could not of asked more, we even met him later in the pub down the road. We are looking to come back again next year for the TT.

Review 71:Nothing worth mentioning.

Review 72:The English breakfast that came with the price of the room was very generous, and there was a buffet yogurt, cereal and fruit selection as well. After leaving the hotel, we realized that we had accidentally left some clothes in the room and the hotel very kindly sent them back to Switzerland for us the same day - free of charge.

Review 73:Our room was in the building opposite the main one, which does not have a lift so one has to carry the bags to the upper floors. The room has only basic facilities and half of the TV channels were not working properly. Parking in the street next to the hotel and public parkings is free from 6pm until 8am next morning; after that you can only park for a maximum of 1 or 2 hours. Breakfast was average.

Review 74:Receptionist was very accommodating.

Review 75:Very soft bed. Steep stairs to second floor in annexe especially when carrying up bags. Small bathroom.

Review 76:Centrl position on front with easy free car parking

Review 77:we had elderly mother travelling with us, this was a bit of inconvenience. Staff was excellent - had left some clothes there and Terry (manager) contacted us and arranged to post them on to us. Liam also went out of his way to assist us.

Review 78:No free parking as advertised. Indifference at reception when we queried and were asked if we wish to cancel!.We had indicated breakfast requirements as requested at time of booking, but staff were unaware. Often no one on reception when needed - were referred to pub down the road. We cancelled 2nd night and went elsewhere and no one batted an eyelid.

Review 79:Not a lot. Room was OK, but across the road and not part of main complex which was not made clear

Review 80:There is not a restaurant in hotel but a nice one few steps down in the same street and a nice pub with meal on the sea promenade.

Review 81:Nice large room with see view.

Review 82:We were keen to get off to cycle the Way of the Roses, but had to wait 50 minutes for breakfast - one guy seemed to be doing everything himself.

Review 83:Good bike storage (in a rock shop) and helpful with that.

Review 84:No open reception in the afternoon or evenings. Relatively small room with medium standard and facilities. Very basic English breakfast with limited selections.

Review 85:Charming building and interior. Practical location very close to the beach in Morecambe. Very good and free WiFi.

Review 86:My partner and I wanted to splash out a little and get a bit of extra service and niceness so we decided to go four star. We are not rich people but it was a treat to pay a little more to indulge ourselves. We booked a deluxe room with a sea view. When we arrived it was only a partial sea view, we were looking into someone else's apartment and there weren't even any net curtains to provide a little privacy. I asked the desk guy about this and he confirmed it is a partial sea view. On the website there is no mention of partial. I also enquired about the difference between 'deluxe' and normal to be told there really wasn't one although I had been charged extra money for 'deluxe' in my booking. We were both very disappointed and felt we could have paid a lot less money and got something better. This is not four star accomodation. We had brought some films to watch in the evening but the TV was old and the usb connection didn't work so we were stuck watching normal channels which were just bog standard cable. We had wanted to treat ourselves and have a romantic time in Morecambe but there was some kind of industrial washing machine noises coming from below throughout most of the evening which did thankfully stop before we went to bed. The staff were friendly and the food was adequate, nothing more.

Review 87:The best thing about the hotel was it was in a prime position.

Review 88:The Crown is a lovely seaside hotel. Fabulous views over the sea, comfy bed, big bathroom, friendly team and lovely breakfast. Just what we were looking for.

Review 89:The Wifi password wasnt correct in the room and the reception showed a different one but we didnt know as reception not manned 24 hours a day. No bath in room just shower.

Review 90:Very Clean and breakfast nice

Review 91:Bed too soft for my preference, room warm but great.

Review 92:Great friendly staff, gave us breafast earlier as we needed to leave before it was served, let us take bikes in room. Great experience *****

Review 93:We found the bedding from the previous occupants on the floor outside our room. The bedroom smelt and needed some tender loving care.

Review 94:Staff and a wonderful breakfast. Lovely up dated ensuite

Review 95:No glasses in bathroom. No menu at breakfast. Noisy with seagulls at 3.15am

Review 96:Room, large, clean & modern. Big flat screen TV. Good view. Breakfast excellent

Review 97:Not the most comfortable bed or pillows. Lack of water pressure for shower.

Review 98:The view over the water from window was awesome - great for watching sunset. Good size room. Nice breakfast.

Review 99:didn't like the amount of stairs we had to climb and on your web page you should put that you have an annex hotel across the road

Review 100:great staff great manager great breakfast really nice and comfy bed

Review 101:wouldn,t recommend morecambe bay. And seen in This light the room at gbp 110 was expensive for what you vet.

Review 102:room was fine, nice location at the seafront

Review 103:There was no hairdryer and no towel rail in the bathroom.

Review 104:The room was amazing even though it was not in the same building but over the road. The people were great,

Review 105:Door to reception and dining room locked on arrival on a Bank Holiday weekend! Notice on door to ring mobile number. Checked in by grumpy man who asked for full payment on check in. Same man cooked breakfast. One man operation by his own admission. Staff in dining room at breakfast untidy and untrained. Housekeeping lady dragged dirty linen bag through dining room twice during breakfast.

Review 106:Large room with good view

Review 107:I am quite fussy about darkness in my bedroom but although the modern wooden slatted window blinds looked the part, for me they didn't make the room dark enough to sleep.

Review 108:Friendly welcome, lovely modern shower room and solid wood furniture in bedroom. We were told on arrival that we had the smallest room in the hotel but it had everything we needed for an overnight stay. We weren't expecting breakfast as when we booked it said breakfast not included in the price but on arrival were told that it did include breakfast, or that we could have £15 refunded. We took the breakfast option and are glad we did as it was delicious! This made our stay incredibly good value.

Review 109:room was up 4 flights, no natural light, poor view, no breakfast included, though advertised as a B&B, manager claimed because room price so cheap.

Review 110:Very clean, staff friendly

Review 111:Terry and his service standards which are out of this world. Fabulous giant room at top of annexe. designer furniture, massive comfortable bed (didnt want to get up), lovely deep bath. Hand made individually prepared breakfast - and it showed! Room was warm welcoming and had a great view.

Review 112:Could log onto wifi but not connect to it.

Review 113:Staff were very friendly. Hotel was basic but comfortable and clean with all necessary facilities. Breakfast was excellent. Very good value for money. We would definitely use the hotel again when in the area.

Review 114:no heating or hot water?????????????? only hot water was through power shower issues to resolve difficult as boiler was in another occupied room. Not good.

Review 115:Breakfast

Review 116:The room was £100 for the night. I booked a delux room online but when we arrived were placed in the "annex" which was across the road from the main hotel. There was a distinct lack of Sea View, the room had a B & B feel to it and was situated at the top of around 8 flights of stairs. There was no door on the shower so it leaked onto the floor. It wasn't a bad room by any stretch but I don't really see how the Crown can market itself at "Morecambes premier boutique hotel" given the quality of the accommodation.

Review 117:The sea front location was excellent. The room was clean and functional.

Review 118:I was a little surprised to find that my room was across a small road in another building. the room was quite cold during the night but it seemed that a previous guest may switched off the main radiator. I was unable to change the TV channel on the TV but as it was very late I did not contact anyone about it.

Review 119:lovely breakfast and pleasant room, very helpful friendly staff

Review 120:Bit fazed at first we had to cross the road to annex but it was fine as weather was perfect.

Review 121:Fresh room. Location on sea front but not noisy. Parking nearby not expensive

Review 122:The central heating made a lot of noise (pipes banging and clanking). We mentioned this but they didn't seem to believe us, saying "the heating isn't on at night." Whatever it was, my wife and I both heard it and it stopped my wife from sleeping.

Review 123:The view and the breakfast. It was great having an adjoining bedroom for our little boy.

Review 124:Nothing it was fantastic.

Review 125:Our room was huge. It contained 3 arm chairs a sofa two coffee tables, a tea stand, the telly stand, and of course the lovely large comfy bed. We also loved the 3 windows overlooking the sea, a lovely view to wake up to.

Review 126:Parking restrictions.

Review 127:Nice breakfast, central location, within walking distance from bars and restaurants. Excellent restaurant "Alfredo's" round the corner.

Review 128:No lifts, Checkin till 8:00 PM and checkout at 10:30 PM , which was very strange . On our reservation, it was written sea view, but actually the room was not.

Review 129:i liked the family room, nice spacious and kids enjoyed the TV in their own bed

Review 130:We had several flights of stairs to climb as we stayed on the top floor of the annex. It wasn't a problem for us but maybe for those with mobility problems.

Review 131:Accommodation very clean,spacious & good quality furniture,very comfortable.host extremely helpful,polite & courteous.superb breakfast.

Review 132:We were there over the Easter holiday. The staff; he is an amazing person. lovely and friendly. if I am not wrong I think he manage the hotel by himself. which I think he did a great job. The location is great. It takes an hour or so to get to lake district depending where you are heading to. The English breakfast was amazing too, but because he works alone, it takes a little bit longer but yeah I am sure you could plan the day while waiting for the breakfast ;)

Review 133:Children did find/play a pornographic video in their television, that I was very unhappy about!! (Never turned a tv off so quick in mylife!!) To be fair this wasn't strictly the hotels fault as left inplayer by a previous guest but I did speak to the proprietor who wasvery apologetic and has now implemented a new policy off checkingdevices in rooms in future.

Review 134:Friendly, helpful staff. Good breakfast. Clean rooms.

Review 135:Being told that we were to sleep in a different building than the one we would have breakfast in. Being told that we had 8 flights of stairs to climb, having a bad knee in TWO of the party. Being told that we had to go out for a meal when it clearly showed a restaurant and a menu in the room. Being kept awake because the window in the room was badly in need of replacement and the wind was whistling ALL night long.

Review 136:Convenient to days location and reason for being in Morecambe.

The Fine Print

Although no parking is available, there are 2 council car parks next to the hotel.
