Reviews for Hotel Mariners

Review 1:Nothing

Review 2:The Mariners is a great little hotel of character. Set in the centre of town with a good large Car park. I took my dog, and the hotel were great and lots of lovely walks in town and locally. Good free Wi-Fi and a very comfortable bed!

Review 3:Minor thing but but toilet and wash basin in separate rooms.

Review 4:Great location to explore west wales, clean comfortable hotel with friendly staff. Great lunch time sandwiches.

Review 5:Parking here is tricky if you have a large vehicle. We stayed here during the World Cup, so the bar was busy with non-residents, making it hard to find parking.

Review 6:Our room was spacious with ample closet space. The towels were HUGE, like bath sheets, and were very soft.

Review 7:the hotel floor boards were quite creaky so at night and in the morning you can hear people moving about

Review 8:The staff in where very welcoming and the breakfast was very nice.

Review 9:Friendly welcoming staff. Restaurant had a good, varied menu and food was excellent quality with more than substantial quantity. It was very good value for money. Good size, clean room with good facilities.

Review 10:Room not clean, blood and toothpaste splashed up wall in bathroom, Brown water and grit from tap when running bath, skirting boards, taps walls and doors not clean.Very noisy and way too hot even with window open and no heating on (weather not hot) was very disappointed.

Review 11:View of rubbish area from bedroom. Would have liked some interpretation on view in this historic hotel built in 1625.

Review 12:Our evening meal in the hotel restaurant was superbly cooked and served. Not only was our bedroom very comfortable, it had recently undergone a stylish refurbishment - most pleasing!

Review 13:Well located for accessing the amazing beaches & coastal walks in Pembrokeshire. Staff very efficient, friendly & helpful. Food good, as well as breakfast we ate at hotel two evenings and the meals were very well presented & good value. The décor was tasteful. The hotel was old so there were creaky floorboards but that added to the ambience.

Review 14:Nothing.

Review 15:Staff were very friendly and geared towards ensuring you had everything you needed for a pleasant stay. Room was very clean with attractive decor and bed was also very comfortable. Plenty of tea and coffee available. First time visitors but would definitely return.

Review 16:Room very dark and pump going all night so couldn't get a good nights sleep. Need more hooks and shelves to put items in bathroom.

Review 17:Very clean hotel with excellent food.

Review 18:Wi-fi in room extemely poor. Only place I got reception was in the lobby of the hotel. ne way street system makes getting to and leaving a bit of a challenge.

Review 19:Very friendly and helpful staff.

Review 20:Parts of the hotels very dated (tatty old sofa in corridor - why?) and breakfast was of a poor standard.

Review 21:Nice welcome, not a bad location in the town plus the hotel has a car park.

Review 22:There was not a lift, so carrying bags briefcases etc. onto the second floor was good exercise!

Review 23:We were down on business, the hotel despite its age was clean, well decorated and the room looked freshly refurbished to a good standard. the staff were excellent with fast efficient and friendly service.

Review 24:The mirrors in the room were extremely low, mirror in bathroom also set far too low. No shelf space for shaver and bathroom items.

Review 25:Beds were comfortable, a very spacious room, very clean and very good food.

Review 26:we thought the room was very Drab and requires updating, also the hallways are very noisy when somebody is walking on the loose floorboards.

Review 31:Quite simply, the hotel. Trips to Pembroke and St Davids areas very enjoyable.

Review 35:Hotel looking tired top room very warm making sleeping difficult old floor boards very noisy but hotel showing its age so not sure how to overcome this??

Review 36:Staff very good and friendly especially the night manager

Review 37:The buzzy bar. The friendly staff. The car park at rear. The comfortable room and ensuite bathrooom. Even though we arrived late and the dining in the bar area was fully booked, we were given a lovely, cozy little table in the window of the restaurant and looked after really well.

Review 38:Despite asking for a quiet room as I was away for business means and needed to finish work I was given one of the rooms directly above the bar/lounge area and could hear loud music and talking from the guests below from early evening to the end of service. If I had been away for leisure purposes then I wouldn't have minded. Overall perhaps just a simple mistake.
