The Valley Village, located only half a mile from the Blue Flag beach of Matala, offers comfortable and friendly accommodations in Crete.

Review 1：I booked a 200 euro a night room at a 75 percent discount through booking.com. When we arrived we got the only room available which was a normally 50 euro a night. Very disappointed. When I asked about my 200 euro a night room they said we don't have any as do not exist not that they were full. Booking . Com was no help.

Review 2：Poor reception. No explanation of facilities. Mixed quality of customer service depending on who you asked.

Review 4：We were in the part of the complex furthest away from the reception. The WiFi was non existent.

Review 5：Great, comfy bed. proper air con that worked well. Nice pool area. Rooms were spacious and well laid out.

Review 6：The first night we stayed in a room with a not renovated bathroom that had nothing to do with the pictures displayed in the hotel's site. It was disgusting. Fortunately, after complaining to the hotel manager, he immediately moved as in a room with renovated bathroom which was much better. Nevertheless, the shower (not bathtub) had a uniform floor with the rest of the bathroom, resulting in having water running all over the place after you had a bath.

Review 15：Lovely little hotel just outside Matala. Kids enjoyed the pool, food in the half board buffet was of limited choice (one main course and one vegetarian, along with soup, salads etc), but was excellent. Also, end of season, in October, so quiet, therefore this may have been a factor. Matala itself a great beach, kids loved exploring the caves.

Review 19：Generally everything ok. On arrival we were assigned a room on the ground floor, looking directly on the swimming pool and the hotel's bar, so I feared it would be a bit noisy at night and asked to be moved to another room. A very kind receptionist gave us another room, with a balcony overlooking an olive grove. A nice view, complete silence, amazing starlit sky, with the extra bonus of a rooster that sang every morning at dawn, with the clock regularity of once every 12 seconds, five times a minute on average, roughly 300 times an hour... I DON'T mean to complain, we were looking for a touch of authentic Cretan countryside, and we found it :)

Review 36：It's nearby to very nice vilage Matala, nice tavernas, shops and beach. Furniture is new, this is not usuall for Crete :) The pool is OK and our app. had nice terrace with chairs and deckchairs. Fair breakfast.
