Reviews for Amalia Hotel Olympia
Review 1:Everything really! The settings & gardens, wonderful pool, great breakfast & large rooms with nice touches of fruit & wine. The only slight negative it was nearly empty (such a pity) which gave the place a feeling of being ready to close.
Review 2:A terrible Wifi line, a waiter who refused to show the price list of he restaurant, poor language skills of the staff, keys that did not work
Review 3:The wide space, the service in the room, the swimming pool, the transportation of the luggage to the room
Review 4:Wifi only in common areas though blazing fast there. Bed standard hard european style (2 twins pushed together). Olympia has hard times with economic crisis. Gift shop closed. Huge hotel with very few guests. Air of desperation along tourist area.
Review 5:Archeologic site and museum still wonderful. Very inexpensive and excellent food.
Review 6:All wonderful
Review 7:Excellent. The place. The wide spaces. The room. The whole staff: insuperable. The swimming pool. The dinner and the breakfast: luxurious. Not far from the coast. Parking close outside. I would like to stay there almost a week!
Review 8:The entire staff were delightful and helpful, the facilities were immaculate and roomy, and the location was either a longish walk or brief car ride to Ancient Olympia, which was divine, to coin a phrase.
Review 9:We were a little early in the season and things felt very quiet, but we like quiet....
Review 10:Staff, food and location. Staff were ultra polite and couldn't do enough for you.
Review 11:Wasn't very personal. Seemed empty all day until early evening when all the tourist buses arrived en masse. Everyone would eat at the one time, then leave the next morning. The grounds and pool area needed some work. The grass was long and the gardens seemed uncared for.
Review 12:Clean and reasonably comfortable, large rooms
Review 13:No in-room coffee/tea-making facilities. The breakfast is basic but adequate. Overall, the hotel is a little expensive for what is provided.
Review 14:The hotel is well located approximately 1-2km away from the shops/restaurants and the archaeological site/museum. Other positive points are: - Friendly staff - Beautiful gardens - Lovely pool - Nice balcony in our room - Basic but clean accommodation - Small fridge in room
Review 15:Beds were very hard. Internet was only available in the lobby and even then I was unable to log on.
Review 16:Peaceful location, good breakfast, large rooms with a big bathroom. Beautiful swimming pool area although we didn't have time to use it.
Review 17:Buffet meal in the evening could have been better but was acceptable for 20 Euros.
Review 18:It was very easy to find coming from Igoumenitsa. Great location just out of town and quiet. Attractive and well cared for garden and pool. Very comfortable bed in spacious room overlooking the garden.

Review 37:The hotel is clearly overpriced. That does not means it's a bad hotel, because it's not so,it means only that the price is too high.
Review 38:The natural surroundings are just fantastic and makes you forget that the hotel is about 2 km away of the great site of Olympia.Nice stuff, clean and comfortable rooms, breakfast rather correct than great.Anyway, a suitable location for exploring Olympia.
Review 39:We liked the location, the most friendly staff - who were so very helpful in guiding us and proposing routes for us to visit. In one word: we always stay at Amalia Chain of hotels in Greece whenever there's one: on our last trip we stayed at Amalia Olympia, Amalia Nafplio and Amalia Athens.
Review 40:Rooms looking a bit dated compared with the other Amalia hotels we stayed at. Toilet facilities nearer the pool would be a great improvement, not very practical to have to walk a 7 year old through reception area to get to the current ones.
Review 41:Excellent staff and facilities.
Review 42:Very clean large and comfortable rooms with clean facilities everywhere. Staff was extremely kind and helpful. Hotel was spacious and quiet. Lovely pool area.
Review 43:The hotel, a 70s building by a famous Greek architect, has to be renovated with respect to the original design.
Review 44:The staff has been very very friendly. The building is very beautiful and the rooms are clean and spacious. The hotel is surrounded by the most beautiful nature and gardens.
