Reviews for Boulston Manor
Review 1:No bad experiences.
Review 2:The room was nice, the view lovely and the building was very plush. The breakfast served was above average and excellent value for money.
Review 3:Small poorly paved road leading to the house.
Review 4:It was really nice, our hosts were extremely welcoming, helpful and friendly. The location was nice and house beautiful with lots of history. Room was huge and very clean. Easy access to all parts of National park. Food was freshly made and very tasty and lots of it.
Review 5:The peace and tranquillity of the location, the fantastic room, bed and bath, the superb breakfast, the friendly and welcoming proprietors, the homeliness of the property.
Review 6:We would have liked to be closer to a restaurant or for it to be possible to have dinner at the Manor.
Review 7:The people running the B & B were terrific and went out of their way to help us. The breakfast was brilliant and we enjoyed the local walk, which includes interesting ruins.
Review 8:A little fresh paint needed in places.
Review 9:Jules and Rod are very welcoming and charming hosts. We stayed in the Gold Cup room with fabulous views and an extremely comfortable bed. Great shower and very spacious suite. Delicious ,leisurely breakfast. Beautiful, quiet location.
Review 10:None.
Review 11:Very peaceful, restoring the batteries and beautiful surroundings. Stylish and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent, nothing too much trouble. Classical music here would be a delightful touch.
Review 12:Certain things need a bit of a touch up. The road to the house desperately needs fixing, we scratched the bottom of our car while driving in and out.
Review 13:Great very remote location, fresh air and so quiet at night, just what we needed! Fantastic view from the balcony (we stayed at the Gold Cup Suite), large room with comfortable bed and bathroom, very good breakfast. The hosts were lovely. And those dogs!
Review 14:Lovely room but not fit for purpose - pulling out furniture to find plugs is not user friendly it would be so easy to have an electrician run a few leads to waist height plugs. Shower too small and door would not close so anxiously trying not to wet the carpet (no no carpet in bathroom) - utility items stored outside bedroom not a great look. At £100 a night it's not cheap so they need to get their act together.
Review 15:Lovely location -warm welcome - no offer of tea/scones on arrival but facilities in bedroom to make tea. The house is amazing and the surrounds wonderful but they need to up their game.
Review 16:Could have done with a tad more milk but I'm sure it would have been provided if asked.
Review 17:The bedroom and en-suite were exceptionally spacious. The room was beautifully furnished. The view was lovely - even though we live in a rural location ourselves. The huge jacuzzi bath was great - so just had to use it both nights !!! Everything was spotless and towels incredibly soft. Breakfast was perfectly cooked and plenty of it. Really enjoyed our stay.
Review 18:The only reason the hotel does not get top location rating is access is down a single track road with some potholes near the end
Review 19:Jules and Rod looked after us so well They recommended restaurants for dinner Their breakfasts are to die for! The view and location near the estuary is fantastic
Review 20:Everything first clas
Review 21:Fabulous location, Jules is a great host, warm and extremely helpful. The accommodation was superior, clean and spacious, the bed very comfortable, lovely towels and bed linen, redolent of a past age. Breakfast very satisfying. The dogs Monty and Tess, great company and added to the very homely atmosphere. Just what we needed after 9 weeks travelling. Jules' recommendation for dinner was excellent.
Review 22:No complaints at all.
Review 23:Can't fault any aspect of the visit! Perfect location, friendly owners and we'll worth a visit. The extra for the room with balcony and spa bath was worth the extra cost too.
Review 24:If you were being fussy you could say a lick of paint and a few cosmetic repairs would benefit the Manor, but you hardly notice ... you're too busy having a lovely time!
Review 25:Huge, comfortable bedroom/bathroom with the most stunning views from the balcony. Everything you could ask for, including a Jacuzzi bath! Home cooked breakfast was gorgeous! Kept us going all day!
