Reviews for Olympic Village Hotel Resort & Spa

Review 1:The staff was extremely welcoming and nice. Dinner and breakfast was really good and the hotel is in short walking distance to the Olympia museum (10min) and the ancient site (15min).

Review 2:This hotel was outdated despite the notes saying it was renovated. The bed was hard as a brick - we were supposed to be there for 3 nights but left after one to save our backs

Review 3:The people were very lovely and friendly

Review 4:Wifi could be better, but I think it was just the location.

Review 5:Wonderful Hotel with lovely pool, good restaurant and very friendly and accommodating staff. Great value, yummy breakfast & great stopover near Magnificent Olympia.

Review 6:Great place to stay, would have liked to stay there another night. Staff very friendly & courteous. Our room was very spacious and beds were very comfortable. Breakfast and dinner were great and the bonus was being able to have a swim in the very large pool. And finally, very close to the ancient Olympia site. Thoroughly recommend this place for families.

Review 7:The room is completely impractical. No shower curtain or shower surround on the tub/shower so it was difficult not to spray water all over the bathroom. No towel racks of any kind so you had to spread towels on chairs or around the room to dry. No towels for the pool area, so you had to bring your own. Drain in sink got stuck one day, and the shower head broke on another day. Had to ask staff several times to come up and fix these problems.

Review 8:Excellent breakfast. Nice pool.

Review 9:the quadruple room was a simple double with 2 extra beds, which resulted in missing space. Balcony could not be entered due to bed. water in the pool was dirty, not prepare for usage (June).

Review 10:nice establishement with pool and pool bar.

Review 11:Leaking bath; Dirty and cracked walls; holes in the walls filled with foam; Hotels was super busy that night b/c of the wedding, maybe we got a last room;

Review 12:Large room for family of 4; 10 minute walk to main Olympia site; Good breakfast; Helpful staff;

Review 13:A little cold in the room but the heat worked well. No shower, only a handheld, had trouble with it maybe Im just not used to it.

Review 14:Our room was very spacious and comfortable, good price. Breakfast was above average as far as European breakfasts go.

Review 15:There was not Wi-fi net in my room. But in public are the Wi-fi worked very well.

Review 16:Everything. The staff was amazing to me, the bedrooms are big, clean, well furnished, confortable. I really enjoyed my trip and I say go to Olimpic Village it is a excelent hotel.

Review 17:Hotel is situated outside the center of ancient Olympia and away from other sites and any beaches Peloponnese is one of the least tourist areas in Greece and transportation system is poorly served throughout the year. Make sure you have a car. We tried to book through the hotel before coming but the receptionist was not so helpful with this. Pool was too chlorinazed

Review 18:Nice hotel for the standards of a non-touristic area Reasonable prices at the hotel restaurant Spacious room Good breakfast

Review 19:just about everything was bad. Breakfast included orange juice, I'm guessing, mixed with water. Coffee was poor. Breakfast was included in the price, but after the first morning, we decided to have breakfast in the city. From looking at other reviews, I'm guessing they have some refurbished rooms (that can be seen on the pictures of the hotel), but we had an older room, which meant no decoration, no colour on the walls, very 'spartan'. The pool area with the tables would've been nice, if they would at least clean the tables. All of them have a layer of dust and greace on them. Do net get fooled by the pretty pictures on their website!!! I travel a lot for business, but this was by far the worst place I've ever stayed over the last 5 years or so. I could go on, but to recap: do not stay here!!!

Review 20:nothing

Review 21:Staff was not very virtuous or helpful Location of the hotel entrance is not well signaled and is difficult to find Wifi did not work When we ask for long chit for the pool we were offered to help ourselves by using chairs from the bar... Coffee for breakfast is not very good Olympia is not a great city for a restaurant dinner in the evening - you have mostly fast food.

Review 22:Location in Ancient Olympia is perfect for an early site visit to beat the heat Pool was ok Breakfast was ok except the coffee

Review 23:we received a room that had just been renovated, it had no shower curtain so the water went everywhere when you showered and there was no TV in the room

Review 24:cleanliness proximity to the archaeological sites

Review 25:Very few indication to find the way to the hotel ! No view from the groundfloor bedroom

Review 26:The swimming pool after the site visit, especialy when 38°C outside ! Oversized bedroom ....

Review 27:Not well-located for town if you want a place from which you can walk to the main attractions; not particularly far, but not "right there" either. Difficult to find from the main road--they need another sign at the key junction when you have to turn left to find the parking lot and backside entrance of the hotel.

Review 28:High standard of accommodations. Staff had sleeping for five set up in our room, which had a whole wall all made of stone. The pool is very deep in spots and has some interesting features--was nice swimming. The restaurant for dinner was very reasonable for a high standard of food, although somehow they bungled one item (a pork steak) and it took them nearly an hour to get it to us--they gave us another dish complimentary in the meantime. The breakfast is very high quality--think, table linens--though only average/typical in diversity of options.

Review 29:Lacks real vibrancy. Included breakfast is a shocker.

Review 30:Location is good close to the square and ancient Olympia. Waffle restaurant next to car park in the main tourist area is great.

Review 31:Do you need a hotel when you are going to see Ancient Olympia then this is a very good choice. The hotel is a good quality standard hotel situated in quiet surroundings close to the site (ca. 1 km) - and with a great pool area, which was fantastic after being at the Olympia site. We stayed there at the same time as a lot of young people in a basketball camp - but they did not really bother us, and the staff went out of their way to make sure that we had a good experience. Even when 250 youngsters were eating breakfast when we arrived we got that little extra from the staff. So all in all a good experience - recommended.

Review 32:Disappointing breakfast (watery, cheap fruit juices; food not protected from flies; collective tables only), unattractive location, difficult to find without daylight.

Review 33:Spacious room and bathroom, friendly and discrete staff, good parking facility

Review 34:Noise from the corridor and other rooms. The doors do not offer any noise-proofing, which in the morning can be quite disturbing. Breakfast is of poor choice.

Review 35:Comfortable rooms, clean and with spacious beds and bathroom.

Review 36:Room was full of dark hair of all types when we arrived. We are a family of blondes, so we knew it wasn't from us. As we went through trying to get it all into the garbage and off the floor, beds, etc, we noticed how dirty things were. Really unfortunate, because the marble bathroom and large room would have been gorgeous if clean. WiFi signals only in hall or stairwell.

Review 37:Nicely designed room. Easy walk to site.

Review 38:The wifi was only in the hotel lobby and even then it wasn't very good. Breakfast good except coffee too weak.

Review 39:Nice quiet hotel with great swimming pool. Breakfast ok. Good value for our money. Close to town and archeological site.

Review 40:The people were so friendly and the pool was fantastic! Good value for money when you stay in Olympia.

Review 41:Excel·lent en tot!

Review 42:Nothing loved the place

Review 43:Highly recomended

Review 44:Great location, archeological site, museum and city on walking distance Great breakfast buffet

Review 45:a bit of a walk to olympia site in the hot sun.

Review 46:outdoor pool area.

Review 47:Adequate breakfast; freezing pool; lacking in atmosphere.

Review 48:Friendly staff; reliable wi-fi; clean room.

Review 49:Nothing

Review 50:Everything was nice clean and beautiful. Swimming pool big. Spa open until late at night. Good food

Review 51:Mediocre breakfast and poor wifi unless by the pool

Review 52:Our good sized family suite Excellent restaurant meal and decor was tasteful

Review 53:The breakfast was not good

Review 54:Very clean and comfort

Review 55:Nothing....everything good

Review 56:The hotel generally was very pleasant. The hotel had buffet for breakfast free wifi and friendly staff.

Review 57:Located between orange plantation.

Review 58:poor breakfast

Review 59:The pool was good, plenty of room! The food was very nice, quite inexpensive compared to some restaurants we ate at!

Review 60:No shower Curtain.

Review 61:Facility was clean and staff was excellent. Nice pool. And lots of parking.

Review 62:breakfast

Review 63:rooms, bathroom, pool

Review 64:The breakfast variety was poor

Review 65:Best location Staff very friendly Rooms good size , comfortable family friendly good parking area clean

Review 66:Easily visible from the main road, but hard to figure out the entrance. Once off the main road, take the left fork.

Review 67:Beautiful grounds and pool. Good location near Olympia. Big rooms, nice staff, great breakfast. Free parking.

Review 68:Hotel without any charme, horrible breakfast! Price compared to other hotels on our trip throughout greece too high. Pictures show a much nicer surrounding than it is. The location related to the historic side is not really great, most other hotels are closer. Open air dining was not opened in mid june.

Review 69:No internet (the wifi in the lobby was horrible) Difficult to find (make sure you have a good map or GPS)

Review 70:Clean Big rooms and bathrooms Good location (less than 10 min walk from archeological site)

Review 71:I stayed one night at the hotel Olympic Village. It was very clean, quiet and had very pleasant staff. The pool were very nice and veryclean. It had easy internet access in all rooms even the pool withlaptop or tablet. Nice breakfast and rich. It also had easy access toOlympia. Finally had a large and spacious parking. Definitely wouldchoose this hotel again for accommodation in Ancient Olympia.

Review 72:Very convenient an easy walk to the Olympia site and museum. Spacious room, well appointed and comfortable. Quiet. Excellent dining and breakfast room. Has a nice pool area.

Review 73:The hotel was a little walk to the town centre which may not be to everyone's liking, however, we found it fine. Staff were very nice and there was a wedding in progress when we were there. There was an outside swimming pool which was none to clean but then again we were there out of season and many places were closing down. There were only one or two guests in residence.

Review 74:No phone to reception or to make calls No fridge or mini bar No room service No in room wifi or safe

Review 75:Rooms were large and very clean The pool area was lovely Staff were friendly and accommodating Breakfast was a buffet with great variety

Review 76:The hotel looks better on the pictures than it is, rooms not fancy but very bleak, pool needs repair as do deck chairs, umbrellas etc, breakfast is served in an ugly cold indoor room at huge banquet tables - not inviting at all

Review 77:Close to historic site of Olympia, very helpful staff - gave us a jumpstart for our rented car when the battery had given uo and told us where to find the next Avis location

Review 78:When we booked we asked for a room with 1 bed for two people. At arrival we got a brand new room only with two sepparate beds. When we asked for a room with the requested bed , we got an older room that was not refurbished. Wifi didnt work in the room only in the main hallway. Beds were very hard and the chairs on the balkony were broken and didn't have cussions! Was not worth the money!

Review 79:The location was great, not far from the archeologie site and museum! Breakfast was good. Swimmingpool was clean and big. Parking space was big and plenty of room!

Review 80:Was a little hard to find as there is no street address provided by Booking.com

Review 81:Good breakfast, very friendly and helpful reception, big room, big bed but a little hard.

Review 82:However, the room didn’t have a fridge, the balcony could be more clean and there was no baby seat in the restaurant.

Review 83:We loved the pool and all facilities around it, as well as the large spaces-yards which makes it friendly for kids to play around. We had a large corner room with pool view, double bed and a baby bed as requested. Breakfast was lovely and rich. We would love to stay there again!

Review 84:The reception shows an advertisement for a rafting company: we reserved a trip and they just didn't show up (not even bothering to call). Consider this when you look at this activity.

Review 85:This hotel is located about 5 minute walk from the center of the Olympia tourist complex, but is quiet and has a rural feel, which is very nice. The pool is great for kids (and adults) but has no really shallow section for toddlers. Breakfast was ok. Rooms (we stayed in quadruple and triples) are big and airy and easily accomodate extra beds.

Review 86:- Lack of window shutters, the morning light woke us up too early - No mosquitoes net on windows and a hole on the EC window net - The pool was in a rather poor condition

Review 87:Closeness to the archeological site, museum and town center.

Review 88:Not much to complain about at the hotel - it was very good value for money. Wasps and mosquitoes were a pain!

Review 89:The hotel was large, spacious and comfortable. It was very empty on our visit. It catered well for families with a four bed room (smaller than anticipated). The breakfast was simple but enjoyable. The staff were friendly and helpful. You could walk to the town and ruins of Olympia. Pool was clean and deep.

Review 90:Friendly staff, but would benefit from looking more professional like wearing uniforms. As well it would of been great to have a safe in the room. However, the experience was great and I would recommend this hotel to everyone and I will definetly return again.

Review 91:Close to sight. Beautiful hotel. Large rooms.

Review 92:There was no music in the evening at the terace were we served the dinner. The dinner menu is quite poor but good. If you want to eat or spend the evening you can go by foot in the center of the town but you have to walk 10-15 minutes.

Review 93:It was an awesome resort - nice staff, good services, beautiful rooms with huge bathrooms, very clean and very quiet atmosphere. The pool was great - with sun beds and umbrelas, with excellent staff serving you with anything you want.

Review 94:I liked very much the swimming pool. There is a beautifull garden and a big restaurant. People are very friendly. Also the rooms are very beautifull kai comfort....

Review 95:Excellent customer service Friendly environment Very clean Recently refurnished Excellent food Very close to the archaeological site of Ancient Olympia You can relax and feel free

Review 96:The breakfast could be improved.

Review 97:I enjoyed the room and the view of the orange orchard. Also, the swimming pool and the terrace are excelent to relax. It is situated quite close to the archeological site for those interesetd in visiting. Something that really impressed me was the smell of the sheets and table cloth.

Review 98:A little problem to find the hotel, because it is situated not at themain street. It will be better to make some map for future guests.

Review 99:Very good breakfast, nice staff and silence ))))) thanks a lot!

Review 100:The breakfast could be somewhat better.

Review 101:The location was lovely, peaceful but near enough to walk to the village and Olympia.

Review 102:Big Rooms and delicious Breakfast. very green surroundings and a relaxing pool bar and swimming pool

Review 103:none

Review 112:Great value for money, close to the archeological site and friendly staff.

Review 113:the coffee in the morning
