Reviews for Bank Villa
Review 1:Nothing.
Review 2:Welcoming and friendly hosts. Good location. Very short walk into centre of Masham and breweries. Lovely ensuite twin room overlooking garden. Very comfortable beds. Great breakfast with plenty of choice & local produce. Caters for vegetarians. No problems parking. Free WIFI. Fresh milk available to take to room.
Review 3:Only downside was a rather low beam in the room. We pulled the bed out a little and all was well.
Review 4:Great location for tours of the two breweries. Very friendly and helpful owners. Lovely to be offered fresh milk for tea making. Wifi is promised in ground floor only, but worked fairly well in our attic room.
Review 5:Warm welcome from hosts throughout our stay. Pleasant, clean room. Nice touches including dressing gowns, chocolates, bottled water, toiletries and takeaway bag of tourist information. Brilliant breakfast. Very close to village centre.
Review 6:There wasn't really a negative, except maybe the bed could have been a little softer. Overall, it's quite a comfortable place.
Review 7:At Bank Villa you'll find friendly and welcoming owners and be served a good Yorkshire breakfast. There are plenty of comfortable areas to sit, if you want a few minutes to read the paper, etc - ie sitting room, conservatory, and it's in a handy location for the Black Sheep brewery visit!
Review 8:Absolutely nothing at all.
Review 9:Relaxing in the conservatory with an excellent red wine. Probably the most comfortable bed in the world. Liz and her husband were superb as hostess and host.
Review 10:I didn't like the fact that some people appear to leave negative comments out of some spiteful reasoning. if you want the facilities of a five star brand new hotel then book one.
Review 11:This wonderful place is an older building ,full of character and run by two very nice, very hardworking people. The rooms are very quaint, very comfortable and very clean. The breakfast was superb.
Review 12:We live in a very quiet rural area in Wales, so found early morning noise from tractors a bit disruptive. Our room was on the side of the property. The toilet was separate from the room and literally only 3.5 steps away from the room with size 4 feet!
Review 13:There was a lovely cazy sitting room to watch tv / read with other guest areas availiable. We where lucky enough to have the lounge to oursevles the night we stayed, felt like home.
Review 14:It was my partners birthday on the morning of our departure, and the owners made breakfast s usual. The sausage on the plate came out with a candle in it, which was rather funny and a lovely surprise too! Can't fault anything, and the owners went the extra mile to give us a fantastic stay!
Review 15:Liz and Graham were so friendly and helpful. The room was very pleasant and wonderfully comfy. Breakfast was hearty and delicious. Ideally situated on the edge of Masham and yards from the Black Sheep brewery.
Review 16:Room a bit tatty and and bed not comfortable. For 90 per night in North Yorkshire I expect better quality decor and comfort . I would suggest that the room we stayed in should be charged at 70 at the most .
Review 17:Breakfast was good
Review 18:cannot think of any.
Review 19:A warm friendly welcome, Within sight of the Black Sheep brewery & short walk to Theaksons, Well organised of street parking, In Masham but just out center but a very sort walk away. We stayed in room 3 which is said to be small, we found it quite roomy and as for the wc being out the room, it is only a few feet away and means you do not here the fan if your partner gets up in the night. And as for the breakfast, you could not ask for more.
Review 20:Our room was lovely, the breakfast was delicious, and the owners were very helpful. Excellent location in a charming town and the beautiful house made for a lovely stay.
Review 21:With two breweries in Masham, driving back the same day was never an option. We got lucky booking in at Bank Villa: ideally located, beautifully appointed, spotlessly clean and tidy, and with welcoming and friendly staff for whom nothing was too much bother. Easily one of the beat guest houses I've ever stayed at.
Review 22:Navigating the stairs to the top floor with heavy suitcases! Not the fault of the proprietors however; just packed a bit to much!!
Review 23:Quaint, comfortable and friendly place; we particularly felt the sitting room/conservatory sitting facility was rare in such an establishment even though we were too busy enjoying the local area/attractions to make much use of it!
Review 24:We loved our stay at Bank Villa. The pretty facade made us hopeful on arrival and inside it was every bit the charming Yorkshire home. Our room was fresh and comfortable, with a lovely garden view, wooden beams and hot shower. Liz and Graham go to every lengths to make you feel welcome, and the breakfast is stonkingly good with plenty of choice. I'm amazed anyone could find anything negative to say about this hotel, we gave it top marks.
Review 25:Everything, from the warm welcome, the spotless comfortable room and all the way through to the delicious breakfast. The hosts clearly "get" what makes an excellent B&B.
