Reviews for East Hook Farmhouse
Review 1:Nothing
Review 2:High specifications await the traveler at this first class accommodation. Jen & her husband are excellent hosts. Nothing is too much trouble to make your stay a comfortable experience. Thoughtful touches in rooms and a 'as you like it' breakfast as standard.
Review 3:the owners where excellent and could not do enough for me and I really enjoyed the food and the sleeping arguments the bed was so comfy. looking forward to returning with the family for a break
Review 4:even off-season early Oct still a bit pricy for a B&B, we didn't have too many places to compare - might be normal.
Review 5:nice and cosy guesthose, beautiful landscape around the large & beautiful country house, superfriendly owners. very convenient to reach the touristic destinations like St David's , Haverfordwest, Tenby, Pembrok etc. .... it's obvious that you'll need a car in this part of Wales :-)
Review 6:No issues, all good.
Review 7:clear directions to the property provided with the booking info. Friendly welcome. fresh milk wonderful bed lovely house and setting excellent breakfast the stars were also pretty outstanding!
Review 8:Great Bed and Breakfast! The location is ideal for visiting both the North and South of Pembrokeshire. Our room was spotless and inviting and the breakfast was delicious. Will definitely be returning.
Review 9:There was nothing we didn't like!!
Review 10:We liked the beauty of the area, the sea and the towns. And we liked very much the quality of the service and the calm and character of the house.
Review 11:The bathroom of our Superior 'coach house' double room was surprisingly compact in relation to the spaciousness of the room itself. We were mildly disappointed by this, but having said that, it was beautifully decorated and equipped - and clinically clean, nevertheless!!
Review 12:We received a genuinely warm welcome on arrival. The main farmhouse and our 'superior' annexe room were exquisitely presented, warm, immaculately clean and spacious. Breakfast was perfectly cooked, presented beautifully, and by cheery & pleasant people. Cannot fault the presentation, service or professionalism at this B&B - it was a joy to visit, and we WILL return!
Review 13:East Hook is somewhat remote and off the beaten track, so you would definitely need a car to get around and to eat out etc., but it's worth it!
Review 14:Delightful and historic house, beautifully decorated. Breakfast really good with 'real' bacon and an excellent choice. Our luxury room in The Cottage was extremely spacious and really tastefully decorated with excellent facilities and supplies of soft towels, beverages and toiletries.
Review 15:Beautiful location !! Excellent value for money and Jen was lovely & really welcoming :) Room was so comfy and immaculate. Will be visiting again soon !!!
Review 16:We were made very welcome, sent off with an excellent breakfast sufficient to sustain for the day with only a brief stop for a light lunch. Plenty of time to discover the area before dinner then returning to a comfortable bed.
Review 17:Everything - hospitality, service, food, location, hosts - was excellent. Hostess made recommendations, reservations, and provided great information about local attractions. She was most helpful and interesting. We loved this place.
Review 18:Everything was perfect! Jen was so friendly and was a great host. She helped with the planning of our daily itinerary and also wonderful suggestions for evening meals which were about 15mins drive. Jen left homebaked cookies for our arrival and her breakfasts were the best we have had in four weeks of B&Bs in the UK. We enjoyed the relaxing rural surroundings and it was nice to be private in the comfortable and very clean cottage plus the bed, towels, bathroom supplies etc were luxurious. There was free wifi and we could sit in the sun at seats and table in front of the cottage. We did not want to leave....
Review 19:Would be helpful to improve the signage.
Review 20:Hostess Jen was extremely helpful and graciously. Enjoyed all the little touches in the room like the robe and herbal body lotion. Liked the outdoor space. Delicious breakfast and yummy homemade toast.
Review 21:Hard to say anything bad. Could be that there we're no good path for a morning walk.
Review 22:Cosy B&B on the countryside. Great room and breakfast. Nice staff.
Review 23:We struggled with the narrow roads around this area but that is not the fault of our hosts. I guess you get used to it in the end.
Review 24:The hosts were charming and sorted out 'our little problem' without much fuss. We managed with an ordinary double first night and were moved to superking room for the second night. Excellent breakfast and nothing too much trouble including finding us places for dinner both nights.
Review 25:Excellent breakfast (porridge especially good).Room well equipped bed was very comfortable. Nice peaceful location in the country but only a short drive from Haverfordwest.
Review 26:The bed, not too comfortable.
Review 27:The hostess Jen was lovely, she was very helpful and gave us good, important information. She cooked fabulous breakfasts. We had the most delicious porridge we've ever had.
Review 28:No negative points.
Review 29:From the start we received a warm welcome from Jen. The room had individual character with a beautiful view over the garden & countryside. The full breakfast was first class and amazing bacon. Would recommend to friends and family.
Review 30:I didn't like that my stay was so short. "Audible sigh."
Review 31:The entire experience was like living in a painting of the 18th century gentry, but with all modern conveniences. The rolling countryside filled with great trees, beautiful sheep and cows, flowers and birds singing. Very quiet. Also close to the sea, don't miss that drive! Jen was most kind and helpful in all respects. Breakfast and breakfast room lovely. I really enjoyed my two night stay here.
Review 32:Everything perfect
Review 33:Exceptionally clean and comfortable accommodation, in a beautiful setting. Ample parking, warm welcome from Jen. Comfortable bed and room with generous en-suite facilities. Thoughtful attention to detail; extra beverages, fresh milk, umbrella &, footwear tray, (rural setting) even a little sewing kit. Generous, well presented breakfast. Would definitely stay again.
Review 34:Jen was always very helpful and nothing was a problem. The rooms were very warm and clean. Breakfast was always hot and plenty of it, Jen even catered for ones with dietary needs. We had a great stay and would go back again.
Review 35:Jen, the proprietor, couldn't have been more welcoming, and the breakfast was lovely. Bed was possibly the most comfortable we'd ever slept in! Wished we had had more time and could have stayed longer.
Review 36:This probably won't bother most people but the long rough approach road to the property bothered me. For this break we were using my sports car which doesn't like rough bumpy roads and it was covered in dust from the loose surface when we arrived. The nearby trees also covered the car in a sticky substance which made it worse. This is not the owner's fault but I am fussy about my car and I wasn't pleased as there was no mention of the condition this road was in in the property details.
Review 37:We liked:- The quiet The room The building The setting Jen, the lovely landlady
Review 38:We loved the location and the fact that the hostess and hubby were really friendly. the breakfast was fabulous and the room had all the extras, plus an iron and board which is such a luxury.
Review 39:We had a lovely warm welcome when we arrived. The rooms are very clean & spacious, with everything you could possibly need. A lovely, traditional country house style B & B in a beautiful setting & area. Jen recommended one of the local pubs for us to eat in, which was excellent & even booked our table & arranged for a taxi. Breakfast was excellent. All in all we would thoroughly recommend East Hook Farmhouse.
Review 40:The attractive, well appointed accomodation, the friendly helpful proprietor, good breakfasts, the delightful farmhouse - evoking many memories of Pembrokeshire childhood holidays - and the peaceful setting.
Review 41:You are a drive out of town, down an unlit road.....but if you are aware of that it is not a problem.
Review 42:A warm welcome, the room was introduced to us and all amenities explained. Lovely comfortable bed, great breakfast, quiet and peaceful.
Review 43:Part of the lane from the road was rather rough and uncomfortable to drive on.
Review 44:Jen was most kind and helpful in meeting our extra needs owing to my friend's disabilities. Breakfasts were lovely - especially the bacon and home made marmalade and jam. Beds comfortable. Location quiet and restful. Will be very happy to go again when the opportunity arises.
Review 45:Used this place as a base to explore part of the Pembrokeshire coastal path - Marloes Sands, Little Haven, Broad Haven, Martin's Haven (and Skomer Island), Solva and St Davids. Homely and cosy bedroom, amazing breakfast!
Review 46:Used Booking.com to select five B&Bs for our short tour in Wales. They were all good, and East Hook was the best. Beautiful old farmhouse, lovely welcome, very peaceful location, great breakfast. We hope to return.
Review 47:The toilet flushing system is a little bit funny and was easily blocked by just toilet paper. But this is just a very minor point and we will certainly recommend this place to our friends.
