Reviews for Ilis Hotel

Review 1:No wireless access from rooms was a slight annoyance. Room window shutter (steel security blind) was apparently sealed closed, which made the room a little stuffy. But there was air conditioning available to alleviate this.

Review 2:Very friendly staff & good location, clean / well maintained.

Review 3:The AC wasn't working in my room so it was really hot, but I guess I should have told them, it was just so late and I was just so tired. and I told them about the wifi they were suppose to call me back and they didn't... the wifi only works in the common area, I guess...

Review 4:The staff was really nice! The location was great, and I had my own room for 25€. It was clean.

Review 5:Definitely a budget hotel but we expected it. We were looking for a cheap place to stay and found it. The wifi doesn't work in the room but we made do with hanging out at a nearby restaurant drinking wine whole we did what we needed to online. The room was okay. Would probably stay again if looking for a cheap place in Olympia. We only stayed 1 night. Considering there was a youth group also staying at the hotel our room was very quiet. AC worked well which was mostly what we cared about.

Review 6:- the entire building needs to be renovated - old furniture - the breakfast facility was not clean enough - a little bit expensive according to the accommodation conditions

Review 7:- located on the main street but a little far form the archaeological site - comfortable beds, nice bath

Review 8:I have stayed here 4 times. The negative part is expected and neglected)) Breakfast doesn't worth its money, rooms facing main street are very noisy, beds are for Spartans))

Review 9:Price, situation, friendly staff, late check-out (12am, enough to visit Ancient Olympia site and museum, come back and take a shower)

Review 10:the AC doesn't cool down the room properly, the shower doesn't give water enough and doesn't heat for those who would like a warm water....we stayed there for 2 nights and they haven't cleaned after the first night....we went to ask the owner if they don't do that service there and she prompt requested the lady to clean by calling her, however, she screamed and shouted the woman during the call in front of us....very peculiar management in my opinion... the furniture is falling apart and totally old fashioned... I guess there are better options in Olympia, I won't recommend this hotel by any way...

Review 11:very good location, staff is friendly and can give you information and help if needed...

Review 12:It was impossible to avoid that the floor of the bathroom was completely wet after the shower. Quite small room, some old forniture. Air conditioning not strong enough to keep the room fresh

Review 13:Fair hotel considering the price. Good breakfast included, in the center, not too far from the arecheological site.

Review 14:The airco did not work and the fridge didn't either. Although they say the hotel was renovated it looked as if it could use some maintenance.

Review 15:We reserved Hotel Ilis, but we got Hotel Antonios (4 star), because the Ilis was empty. It was a beautiful hotel and a good deal, as we paid only 31 euro for the room. Nice pool. Friendly staff and there was a computer available for the use of the guests.

Review 16:It was cold to sleep. Our room was far from central stairs, so that there was no WiFI at all. Only in public areas.

Review 17:Location in the center of Olympia.

Review 18:No complaints

Review 19:Location

Review 20:Bed linens very dirty.

Review 21:location

Review 22:service

Review 23:Bit of a struggle with the airconditioning, but worked out in the end.

Review 24:Very helpfull staff, basic but good rooms, good location, large breakfast

Review 25:The breakfast isn't very satisfactory.

Review 26:Great town with beautiful view. The staff is warm-hearted, and they provided many helps. The price is quite reasonable.

Review 27:I am a philosophy teacher. I take students to Olympia as part of a two-week tour about Ancient Greece culture. I have stayed at the Ilis three times with students and seven times with colleagues for a professional conference each year. She and her husband also run the Antonios Hotel, a more expensive hotel with a swimming pool. Those who stay at the Illis may swim in the pool. The Ilis is located in the center of the small village, on the main street that is blocked off in the evening so people can walk, talk, shop and eat. I love the village, the archeological site, the hotel, and everything about Olylmpia. I encourage everyone to visit Greece and study the Ancient culture and its artifacts.

Review 28:everything is very good excepted near by the grave!

Review 29:Dirty room, uncordiality of the staff

Review 30:We have been hosted in Hotel Antonios, a faulse 4S. Apart breakfast It was not a good stay

Review 31:Ilis Hotel is right in the middle of the town of Olympia. There are restaurants nearby, and plenty of shops for souvenirs.
