Reviews for Belle Vue Hotel

Review 1:TV didn't work bed squeaked every time you move and the teenagers below kept me awake arguing. Not much room especially in shower room for a twin room.

Review 2:Staff very nice helpful, nice place

Review 3:Ate dinner in the bistro and as a result received food poising. Had a very bad night in a very cramped unattractive single room. Being the only guest for the night I am surprised not to have been offered a better room.

Review 4:Nice friendly staff, plenty of parking. Food was good quality. Although porridge was not on the breakfast menu they made some on request which is great.

Review 5:Nothing, great place.

Review 6:Friendly staff straight from my arrival. Great evening meal. local people that came in to the bar were happy to give advice about the local area. Very old building and is in the process of a long restoration project and a great job being done.

Review 7:My Satnav did not like the post code. However a single phone call to reception had me on the right track in no time

Review 8:The staff and locals were warm and welcoming the food was excellent. and I was made to feel very much at home and my stay was relaxed and I felt "nothing was too much trouble" . I am looking forward to my next visit

Review 9:Leaving!

Review 10:Location and staff were great. After a small problem with our initial room, which we discussed with manager, we were offered another room which we found cosy and comfortable. We had a great stay and would return to the Belle Vue Hotel if we visit the area again.

Review 11:1) Shower not quite hot enough; 2) Some carpets in public areas could do with replacing (but realise that this may be a legitimate matter of economic prioritising)

Review 12:1) Wonderful location of Llanwrtyd Wells; very central and convenient for many parts of Wales and would be great for a walking holiday in immediate vicinity 2) Friendly welcome, and considerate help offered to my elderly father-in-law. The friendliness extends to general atmosphere of the hotel 3) Excellent cooked breakfasts

Review 13:The hotel looked dirty, but they are trying to improve. The rooms they have improved looked good. Need to get rid of hot plate people want freshly cooked food. It needs a ladies touch in charge of cleaning.

Review 14:Location, Bar Staff, The Owner was a nice gentleman.

Review 15:Wonderful welcome. Good food. Super-comfy bed , and warm!

Review 32:Comfortable bedrooms. Friendly staff.

Review 33:All was good

Review 34:Arrived late and management put themselves out to provide meal Chef was very pleasant and his chilli was superb Will be going back

Review 35:Staff were very nice and would do anything to help you.

Review 36:No hairdryers in rooms staff could only find one throughout the hotel. When this was used following a shower our hands were filthy.

Review 37:* the building has clearly not been decorated for some time. It has the atmosphere of 'past glories' which is a real shame as the good points are very good, going a long way towards negating the poor decor.

Review 38:* very engaging and pleasant staff who were keen to help * straight forward basic food that was well cooked and prepared * limited beer choice but a good selection * quiet * clean (but see negatives) * very comfy bed

Review 39:Tried to phone them before my arrival to confirm my booking, no answer, and no return call! Tried eight times to call, an my arrival day, to explain I would be late, no answer, and again no return call, not happy at all about that.

Review 40:Hotel needs complete refurbishing, bed mattress seen better days, cheapquality ingredients used for breakfast (sausages, coffee etc) to muchoil or fat on breakfast. Real ale poorly kept

Review 41:Clean rooms, reasonable price for accommodation, nice location.

Review 42:Spent a peaceful week in a small quaint town. Centrally located for day trips and sightseeing. The Belle Vue Hotel is well run and food was fantastic and very filling

Review 43:no wifi in room but thats being fixed within a week or so. Needs to proper coffee machine so it can do latte or cappucino rather than instant coffee

Review 44:Forget the TV chef down the road who charges £27 for a main course.. The new chef food is brilliant - excellent tasting food, large portions & very helpful. Breakfast was the same. Rooms are brilliant value for money. Excellent location for hiking / bike riding in the black mountains Will be booking this place again & recommend to anyone who is visiting this area to stay here

Review 45:nothing

Review 46:friendly way we were received, explained the accommodation was a work in progress, and, there had been lots of improvements since we were there last, evening meal and breakfast are excellent

Review 47:Room was a bit small and the hotel is still in the process of modernization, but we'd stay there again.

Review 49:The whole experience was fantastic, very accomadating excellant atmosphere, brilliant, beer was good and accomadated a group member as he is a ceiliac, thank you.

Review 50:The place has been subject to bad DIY and could do with a complete makeover. The bed was slightly uncomfortable. Room size was small.

Review 51:The food was good as was the portion size. Plenty of space for parking. Quiet.

Review 52:Room was a bit small, but ok for the money

Review 53:Great place, lively pub with friendly locals, food very good value. Rooms were away from the bar area so quiet. Good value and location. Owners very helpful.

Review 54:Convenient for my needs new couple taken over doing a good job plenty plans to make changes but all takes time. Staff very friendly and helpful even my short stay was made to feel very welcome thank you .

Review 55:Completely overpriced. £110 the room was and the hotel is not even worth £40 B&B. it's a pub with a few rooms on the side. Really run down. Food was on hot plates ready to be served and looked like it had been standing there a week. No towels or soap in the rooms. Would not go back

Review 56:Not much

Review 57:Room was a bit too small but can't complain as they often are in oldhotels, and we knew what the rooms were like beforehand from looking atthe website.

Review 58:Friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere. Excellent food Very good valuefor money Very comfortable bed and good quality bedlinen. Loved the cupsand saucers in our room.

Review 59:Rooms were modern, fashonable design. Good food at reasonable prices, frendly, helpful staff and locals. Provided a safe place for me to keep my bicycle. Would definitely return.

Review 60:We were not told that breakfast would be later that the stated time. We were not told that on one of the nights that stayed there would be no bar food. (New years eve)we had to wait until 9.45 for a free buffet which is not the type of food we normally like to eat. The language in the bar of the the hotel () from the locals) was disgusting and the bar staff did not make any effort to ask the people in the bar to curb the language or even to quieten down. Not the place for us.

Review 61:Building & decor is dated (but to be fair on the owners they'veonly recently taken over the hotel & this is being worked on)

Review 62:Friendly welcome, attentive staff, comfortable beds, lovely breakfast, good value for money!

Review 75:Friendly people. Nice food. Comfortable.

Review 76:Hotel a bit shabby. Some noise at night when we stayed as it is also a pub.

Review 77:Value for money, clean, helpful staff. Good breakfast.

Review 78:Excellent food and beer, very friendly husband and wife staff.

Review 79:Friendly staff and locals, made you very welcome. Location was ideal for an overnight stop en route to the Royal Welsh show.

Review 80:I Think it was poor value for money for £110 per room it was small and the rooms smelt musky.

Review 81:The staff and service were excelent.

Review 82:Friendly staff, clean well equipped room, excellent breakfast.

Review 83:Very friendly pub from both staff and locals
