Reviews for Viva Mare Hotel & Spa

Review 1:Breakfast was not so good. Food in a la carte restaurant is very expensive and there is no opportunity to eat fish. Bathroooms should be renovated. There are sea urchins in the see, they should be collected by the hotel.

Review 2:Location is very good. Hotel has lots of swimming pools. Rooms are very clean. Every rooms has a balcony with an amazing view.

Review 3:Rooms need maintenance, dusting under the beds. Wifi signal and tv reception where poor. Wood from the balcony poles should be replaced or repaired to give a proper representation.

Review 4:Friendly staff, excellent view, nice pools and great breakfast.

Review 5:The beach is not sandy (apparently not fixed due to regulations), must wear something to walk on the rocky area, beware of sea chestnuts. Breakfast can be more varied.

Review 6:This is our second time here. Management is very friendly and helpful, location is close to Molyvos, where we spent most of our time. Rooms are very comfortable. We had sea-view, which was really nice.

Review 7:Breakfast was ok, no fresh fruit and cereal wasn't great. Bring your own cornflakes!

Review 8:This hotel should be four star not three. Me and my wife (30 and 27) just got back to the UK last week from 11 days here at the Viva Mare hotel and would love to visit again. Don't let the economic crisis put you off. We had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay here and an amazing time exploring beautiful Molyvos and the surrounding areas. The hotel is in a stunning location with great views and great facilities. The english-speaking staff are helpful and friendly, and we woke up every morning to enjoy clear skys and beautiful views across the Agean sea to Turkey from our room balcony, at breakfast and from the pool area. There is surprisingly good wi-fi all around the site, the room has great air conditioning and there is a handy safe system at reception, where you can browse the useful leaflets and travel information. There is a feel of paradise on a still day in the outside pool area which has a pool-side bar with a good food and drinks menu, all charged to your room, and direct access from the pools to a little private beach. There is plenty of parking at the hotel which is a 15 minute walk to Molyvos or three minute drive with free parking in the town. There is a free shuttle bus from the hotel and a taxi to Molyvos is a flat 5 Euros. We also tried the on-site spa facilities for 5 Euroes a day which is astonishing value for money for a private spa pool, sauna, gym and access to a massure. We were so pleased to find this hotel which felt like an excellent home base for exploring the area in the morning, coming back for lunch by the pool and an afternoon rest in the shade or room, and going back out for an evening sunset meal in the many beautiful bars and restaurants on Molyvos' southwest facing hillside, overlooking the harbour and beach. Make sure you try the local drink Ouzo and explore the windy cobbled streets and bars of Molyvos after your meal as dusk settles to get an ice cream, coffee and some locally made gifts and souvenirs.

Review 9:The hotel charged 5 euro for a 2 hour session per person to use the spa and 3 euros for the use of a towel for a week. The indoor pool was too cold to swim in. Also there were no changing rooms. In the room there was a very noisy fridge.

Review 10:Good breakfast

Review 11:Viva mare was the perfect place for us. The beautiful surroundings, the nice swimmingpools, the location -really close both to Molyvos and the nature and beaches in Eftalou. Pleasent, comfortable and the staff was so helpful and nice.

Review 12:Overall we had a very good experience at this hotel.

Review 13:The staff were very friendly and provided excellent service.

Review 14:The hotel is fantastic. There are five swimming pools and a private beach. The family rooms are so good. Excellent breakfast.

Review 15:The sea is covered with sea urchins.

Review 16:The breakfast coffee The dirty loungers outside Not cleaning the room on sunday

Review 17:The variety of pools & general facilities The staff were great very helpful & very understanding

Review 18:The bathroom. Although it was very clean: it was outdated and the plumbing in need of an overhaul and maintenance.

Review 19:The location is phenomenal. The grounds and indoor public areas were kept tidy and clean. The front desk staff were extremely courteous and helpful. The quality of the food at the buffet was very good, plentiful and varied. You did not get the local flare that you would get from the local Tavernas or restaurants, but you get an assortment of dishes that would make just about anybody happy. Overall, a excellent value for the money.

Review 20:In breakfast, the waiter kicked everyone out at 10:00 o'clock from the restaurant in a rude manner. Perhaps he was the gardener.

Review 21:The front desk staff. The pools (there are 5 of them) Has it's own beach beach.

Review 22:Breakfast: looks like excellent but the quality is not good. But you cannot expect anything better in the "all inclusive" age.

Review 23:Swimming pools, view (seaviewroom), quiet (seaviewroom), not luxury but everything you need.

Review 24:They tried to charge us some drinks which we did not have. There were some bills with our room number and different signiture, we told that does not belong to us but the lady in the reception quite did not believe us...it was weird.

Review 25:The location was just perfect on the "right" side of the road, with an own little beach. Kids liked the pool area, and the food was fresh and versatile. The staff was extremly nice and made our vacation feel like one. Mithimna town is one of the most beautiful and pittoresque places I've ever visited. I've visited 9 different Greek islands in total ca 25 times before, including Santorini.
