Reviews for Waves Rooms
Review 1:The property is in a great location, close to some great bays and Rick Stein's pub which did great food and local ales. The owners could not have been more friendly and helpful, and the room was perfect
Review 2:Being tall, my head often hit the room's sloping wall; the stairway to the room was narrow & tricky to negotiate; the bathroom across the hallway was always cold; and as the water-heater was on the blink, the owner charged three pounds less per day but still inconvenient. The location was also about three miles away from Padstow so, in retrospect, we wishes that we had stayed there instead.
Review 3:Room was decently heated & its bed was large with a warm blanket -- plus ample tea & coffee supplies.
Review 4:Having no hot water in tap for entire stay.
Review 5:Small but comfortable, breakfast basket basic. We had no hot water from hot tap for our entire stay, did leave a note on second day as thought it would have been picked up when cleaning....told the boiler had broken and £20 was left as a refund.
Review 6:The only down side was the room was it is directly about a restaurant and next to a pub. It did get very loud on the Friday and Saturday night as you would expect. Just not brilliant when trying to sleep.
Review 7:The room its self was lovely, very comfortable. The owner was very welcoming.
Review 8:No breakfast, only a bag containing a muffin, energy bar, bottle of. Juice. Not good enough. No staff or proprietor available, only to collect rent.Other guests helped us locate our room.
Review 9:They don't provide a full breakfast but its still good value. Bakery, deli and cafe provide everything you need at reasonable prices.
Review 10:Lovely place. Ideal for short stay. Walking distance from restaurants and pubs and very easy to get to the beaches.
Review 11:We didn't feel it was honest about the accommodation. It was a shared door, living room and patio area not private as stated, only one bath robe and you could hear the restaurant below from 4 to 10p.m
Review 12:Bev, was very nice.
Review 13:The room was quite small but fine for a one night stay. The breakfast consisted of a bag with two apples, two bottles of apple juice, a muffin and a granola bar
Review 14:Bev was very friendly, appearing almost instantly after we rang to say we'd arrived. Very clean room, good toiletries on offer. Good location just a few miles from Padstow, next to a pub and very close to shops/restaurants/takeaways
Review 15:The breakfast bag was a problem as one of us is diabetic and could not eat anything in it as it was all sweet items.
Review 16:We had a very warm welcome when we arrived from Bev she even helped with our luggage. The room although a bit small was very comfortable and everything from furniture to toiletries and towels was of a really high quality.
Review 17:As the room was a coverted loft, there was very little room to stand properly. Also, we booked for October as breakfast was advertised as being available between April and October, but we were told that breakfast had finished in September. We therfore had the extra expense of buying breakfast on top of the room price. We were however provided with a muffin, drink and a piece of fruit as a "continental" breakfast. There was only one bedside lamp which made it awkward for reading in the evening. The limited hanging space was partially over the long mirror which blocked a large part of the mirror out.
Review 18:The large bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was big enough with good facilities.
Review 19:Not a thing. Would stay there again any time I was in the area.
Review 20:It's so warm and welcoming with very pleasant common areas. Lots of parking. Close to food venues. Spotlessly clean.
Review 21:Would have preferred either no breakfast or full English as continental breakfast bag a little sparce. Needed Larger towels too.
Review 22:Good sized ensuite. Lovely outside seated decking area. Nothing too much trouble.
Review 23:The room was very clean and comfortable albeit a little small, we had a great welcome from Bev who showed us around. There is a small lounge and a decking area with a small table for sitting outside. Small cafe downstairs for brekky belongs to same people very good.
Review 24:Breakfast consisted of either a muffin, cookie, or granola bar with a piece of fruit and bottle of fruit juice. no choice given and a bit misleading if expecting a full range of breakfast
Review 25:it was warm and clean with plenty of hot water and tea /coffee replenished every day.
Review 26:Breakfast included was a small bag with some fruit , a muffin and a cereal bar, not enough to constitute a continental breakfast. I don't think the word deluxe was an appropriate description.
Review 27:Room was clean.
Review 28:Used to a bigger bed, but it was okay for a short stay!
Review 29:Lovely place to stay. Prefer small independent places to big chains and this place is lovely. Food excellent and staff friendly and helpful.
Review 30:The friendly staff, the location as it's really near some beautiful bays within walking distance. Padstow is only a couple of miles away too. The restaurant below the rooms have lovely breakfasts and coffee. We stayed in the cove room for three nights and Bev had thought of everything. Coffee and tea facilities in the room, a lovely little courtyard area to sit outside, a little bag of goodies each day is provided and free parking nearby.
