Reviews for The Paddock

Review 2:The welcome, the breakfast was very very good, excellent room with fresh milk in a fridge within the room! Nothing too much trouble at all from the host.

Review 3:A warm welcome, plenty of local information. A willingness to help if required. Very comfortable, clean, tastefully decorated room and en suite. Fresh milk available. Fabulous breakfast - fresh fruit and fresh cooked breakfast with local produce. Lovely countryside location.

Review 4:nothing

Review 6:Very nice location and very nice breakfast and nice bedroom views the owner was excellent all round excellent service all the way through would come again year in year out.

Review 7:There is nothing not to like about this place.

Review 8:The location was delightful and the facilities comprehensive. Everything about the room and bathroom was fresh, luxurious and and carefully thought about. And breakfast was delicious.

Review 9:Nothing, everything was perfect.

Review 10:We only booked for one night, it was so quiet and had a very good sleep; tasteful breakfast with home made jam, fresh fruits, milk from the family farm and a lot more. Joss was very attentive and made us to feel at home. We will be definitely come back.

Review 11:True 5* accommodation with an excellent and charming hostess. Joss welcomed us into her world which was luxurious, warm and friendly. Would definitely recommend and revisit if we were in the area. Faultless.

Review 12:My partner and I stayed with Joss and her lovely family for a week. Everything was superb from start to finish. The Paddock is right in the centre of Pembrokeshire. You only have to drive for 20 mins in any direction to get to any part of the Pembrokeshire coast. It is a perfect base for exploring all the county has to offer. The B&B itself is in the beautiful countryside. It was easy to find. The Paddock is a B&B on a working farm. Joss' husband and his family produce milk and look after approx 300 cows. As such the house is surrounded by charming sights of their beautiful animals and the work that they do. Animals you are likely to see during your stay include cows, sheep, dogs, goats, pigs, chickens, fish, pigeons and a heron! The dogs are very friendly and if you like dogs you can open up your window and they'll come over and have a fuss! Our room was beautiful. Tastefully decorated with everything you could possibly need. Plenty of storage; a fridge (so useful!); a TV and DVD player (Joss has a selection of DVDs you can borrow); a powerful shower over a bath and all mod cons. Our room overlooked Joss' back garden with view of twisty windswept trees, a pond, and some of her lovely animals. On arrival we were greeted by Joss with tea and cake. A welcome sight indeed! In the morning she offered a nice selection of cereals / fruit / juice / yoghurt etc. We didn't have any of these though because we had a cooked breakfast every day. Joss sources many of her foods locally (her own hens' eggs, sausages and bacon from a good local butcher, her Mum's raspberries and preserves made by her friend). I believe she cooks her breakfasts on an Aga. Every morning the breakfast we had was superb and so filling we were unable to eat for the rest of the day until tea-time. Joss offers an evening meal sometimes (it was twice during our stay). We had one and it's was absolutely superb - a real treat.

Review 13:I felt very confident having read the reviews that all would be as I expected and I was not disappointed. I was made to feel completely at home throughout my stay.

Review 14:The Paddock was spotlessly clean, very well appointed and had very helpful staff. The room was very comfortable will all of the amenities you'd expect. Breakfast was excellent too. I'm looking forward to my next stay there in June.

Review 15:Nothing

Review 17:Fabulous place. You would be hard pressed to find a 5* Hotel to match the Paddock. Joss and her two boys were delightful and what a breakfast! Now looking for an excuse to go back again. My fellow traveller agrees with all the above.

Review 18:The bathrobe, the teapot, the breakfast and the very warm welcome. I cannot praise the Paddock enough. A very comfortable bed and welcoming accommodation.

Review 19:Joss was wonderful. She was very accommodating and friendly. Her breakfasts were amazing. The setting was peaceful and relaxing. We were literally on a farm and saw newborn calves with their mothers, goats and chickens. It was wonderful to come back to the farm after a day of exploring.

Review 20:Everything. Joss was most welcoming. Being greeted with a pot of and homemade cake set the tone for the stay. A guest lounge allowed for relaxation whilst the room was beautiful with a small fridge for fresh milk and so many little touches it was a pleasure.

Review 59:This is an absolutely lovely place to stay, in the most peaceful location. Our room was spacious and had all we wanted and more. Joss' attention to detail was spot on and she could not have been more welcoming. The cooked breakfast was absolutely lovely, with a choice of cereals yoghurt and fresh fruit there was so much choice. The Paddock outscores any hotel you could stay in and we would not hesitate in recommending this lovely home to anyone. Absolutely outstanding!

Review 60:Excellent!!! Jose is a fantastic host & the location, setting, house, & comfort are second to none. We are travelling around UK & Europe & the Paddock is exceptional amongst the guest houses and B & B's we have stayed in.

Review 61:We booked this as a stop-over en route to Ireland, being close to the Fishguard ferry port, and were very pleasantly surprised at the high quality accommodation provided. The Paddock felt new and fresh. The bedroom was huge with everything we needed. We were made to feel very welcome indeed, including relaxing in the lovely lounge the following morning, rather than queue in the rain at the ferry terminal. Excellent in every respect. We would like to have stayed longer.

Review 62:Nothing really

Review 63:We had a warm welcome from the owner Joss, she was friendly and chatty throughout our stay, she gave us lots of information about where to go and what to do. The room was lovely, we had great fun watching the chickens strutt their stuff!! Fabulous breakfasts and a very varied choice of teas, coffee and hot chocolate in the room. It was lovely and peaceful there and a good location, easy to get to most places quickly from there. We thoroughly enjoyed it and wouldn't hesitate to go back or recommend it to others. We saw that Joss has won awards for the B&B for at least the last 4 years, I'm not at all surprised, it was well worth it.

Review 64:The reception we received and the warmth and friendliness of the place. Joss's food is out of this world. And she could not have been more helpful to a resident whose husband had had an accident. Apart form that , any one who likes the quiet of the countryside cannot fail to like this place

Review 71:Only one small niggle and that was a missing hairdryer, it looked like it had been stolen and the owners had not picked up on this. As it was poor weather any preening I had been able to do would have been ruined....this of course was not the fault of the B&B :)
