Review 1：Large family located in the next rooms.. Loud from 3pm to 12am banging doors, screaming and shouting. Next moring the same and they ate all the food at breakfast! Not the staffs fault but could have located them away from other guests rooms

Review 2：The staff were friendly lovely food, we both work in a hotel (restaurant supervisor and chef) and we couldn't fault the restaurant nor the food. Have the roast.. Its the best I've had!

Review 15：Double bed was more like large single & was far to 'bouncy/soft for my liking. Cigarette smoke could be smelt in the corridor so the facility does not police the no smoking rule it says it does.

Review 21：The room was not suitable for a family of four. We had two single z-beds for our two children and - when they were up - no one could walk around the room; it was far too squashy. Also (am cross about this as we went out to eat at tescos) we weren't told that kids eat free at breakfast. We were only told about evening meals being free for kids.

Review 23：Flooding on the pathway outside our room (cleared up, but the angle of the path makes this an inevitable problem if there is heavy or persistent rain. Would have liked an a la carte option in the restaurant menu rather than fixed price one, two or three course options.

Be careful when you have to order, extra charges may apply even though pre-paid! The fact that I was charged 3 GBP for a sausage I ordered when I had an omelette for breakfast. Review 49：The reception staff were very helpful to me. I had a wedding to attend and was arriving from Canada. I had great help to find a store with paper and great help in helping me wrap the gift. TOP CLASS!! My wrapping skills are very poor.

The towels are too small, the food was cold, there is constant noise from the room above, I was rudely woken up by an unknown member of staff at 8:30 although check out isn't until 11. No idea what she wanted, she just ran off and said they would come back later. The bathroom was dirty. Not a great stay

Review 75：The photos are a bit misleading. The hotel is located on the edge of an industrial park and overlooks a Burger King and bowling centre. In parts the hotel is very tired looking. Our room was very dated and also noisy - we could hear other guests moving about, talking and slamming doors.

Review 77：We accepted a free upgrade to a function room set up as a family room but facilities not right, i.e. no plug socket close to tea/coffee making tray, no plug socket close to mirror when using hair drier etc. This room was at the top of the main staircase and we were continually disturbed at night until everyone had gone to bed. We were aware that this is a busy hotel for functions but on hindsight would have refused the upgrade because of its position.

Review 100：At best, this is a motel not a hotel. It is severely dated. It needs a deep clean (preferably a fumigation) and refurbishment. The carpets smell, the rooms smell, the corridors smell. The bathroom was dated and stained. The bedroom carpet and furnishings were stained. The room service was more expensive than the prices displayed in the room - no receipt was provided when I was asked to sign for the room service. I queried the charges at check out (when finally provided with a receipt) and although I was refunded overcharge, receptionist was a little stiff about it and said that the menu in the room was wrong but on this occasion she would honour it! The card machine at the reception did not work upon check out and I was traipsed through the hotel to find a working machine.

We was in room 5 an my son and his family were in room 3 but they did not have one or my daughters room upstairs. It was a fishy smell as if somebody had urinated in the room. I did tell the receptionist on check out and a member of staff went to the room and they came back saying it did smell. We did get 10% off our bill which was a surprise to us as we was not expecting that. The position of the room could not have been more perfect, as the pool was outside our room. It was such a shame about the smell as our family members did not want to come into our room. I did ask if pets slept in those rooms and was told No. I would not have been very happy if they had been.

Omelette had to be sent back as the omelette was so wet it was running all over the plate, the staff member was not very polite when asked to deal with the omelette. No lift to the upstairs and my room was at the very far end of a very very long corridor.

Review 126：Hotel looks great from outside but it's a bit tired on the inside (upstairs). Generally the staff were very pleasant and helpful. Bedroom was roomy and there was plenty of hot water with an excellent shower and bath (total bonus).

Review 140：All members of staff were pleasant and made us feel welcome. Matthew the restaurant manager was most cheerful and saw everything was carried out to a high standard. All the food was excellent. The flowers were beautifully arranged and added to the smart decor.

Review 145：we asked for a family room for 2 adults and 2 children and the room we were allocated was a little small for us all An error in the dining room meant that 1 of the party had to wait for their meal - this wasn't handled very well by the manager at the time, however things were resolved......in the end.
