Review 2:nothing

Review 3:The property was excellent in every detail. Sympathetically restored. However, furnishings, colour schemes and decor, gave the Villa a boutique feel.

Review 4:The accommodation is like a palace with beautiful soft furnishing, grand art and talented decor. We were made to feel so very welcomed and it felt like we were home. Parking easy. Thank you for making our stay so magnificent and happy. Memories we will cherish.

Review 5:We couldn't connet to wifi but everyone else could so maybe it was our devices!

Review 7:Great location to visit Rochfort. The house was beautiful and I felt very pampered. I was very happy with the accommodations and I would stay there again. We were in walking distance to restaurants and shops.

Review 8:Nothing.

Review 9:Old property in interesting quarter of Saintes close to the Cathedral. Large room.Excellent friendly hosts .Hercule their recently acquired rescue dog a great character.

Review 10:the walls are very thin and we could hear other people move about and perform their bathroom activities !!!!

Review 11:the owners were very friendly and as soon as you walk into the building you are amazed by the beauty of it. The room was lovely . Breakfast was great.

Review 12:Parking nearby might be difficult in high season.

Review 13:Centrally placed for visit to Rochefort. Friendly welcome with tea/coffee making facilities in room.

Review 14:The house is in the centre of Rochefort, on street parking is free overnight. The house is surprisingly peaceful despite its town location; the hosts are very friendly and helpful. The bedroom was an eclectic mix of styles...fun and serious and also elegant. The bed is very comfortable and it was good to have a kettle and tea tray. The hosts ask for breakfast preferences and all is delicious and served beautifully.

Review 15:No bad experience at all. However, would not recommend this property if you have problems climbing stairs.

Review 16:It is a really nice place, very central and the host is very friendly and helpful. Elizabeth booked a very nice table at a lovely restaurant for us, she was warm, cheerful and obliging. We received great advice and a lovely breakfast.

Review 17:The shower head had to held as there was no bracket on the wall.

Review 18:The owners were extremely welcoming and made us feel at home immediately. Safe free on street parking was available. The rooms were beautifully furnished. The breakfast was excellent with great choice. The location was one street away from the centre. All in all a wonderful experience.

Review 19:There is nothing negative to say.

Review 20:We stayed on our way down to the Dordogne following good reviews on Booking.com. It really is a beautiful house, right in the centre of the town and it has been lovingly renovated. We were able to park right outside (free parking from 18.00 - 0900). Our room was spacious and very comfortable. The hosts were lovely - friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was a delight.

Review 21:parking was problematic, with free parking 1km away, however free overnight parking outside the Villa was possible.

Review 22:Hosts Robin and Michel welcomed us into their charming home in the centre of Rochefort. The room was spacious and well-equipped, with views onto a small courtyard below. Breakfast was excellent and the cost very reasonable for such quality accomodation.

Review 23:The narrow stairs to the toilet/bathroom at night might be difficult for some guests

Review 24:The warm welcome with a friendly host. The secure parking for our bikes and the excellent quality of the accommodation - a great mix of old period charm and modern convenience ( the bathroom and the shower were great!) The quality of the break fast - choice and presentation in the tastefully furnished dining room made us feel at home and at the same time pampered!

Review 25:We thought that for that price, sleeping on a sofabed was not an option. My husband did not sleep well as the sofabed kept tilting slightly towards the wall. And the hosts were nice but too intrusive in our opinion.

Review 26:I have to stay that the house is lovely, the location is very good (in the centre of Rochefort close to the shop). The breakfast was very nice.

Review 27:This hotel is a beautiful place in the centre of Rochefort. The owners were only too happy to help with anything. They have great English and are very good with young children. The breakfast is excellent and the room was brilliant for myself and my partner and my daughter who is 1 and had a cot bed provided. Shame we couldn't stay longer as its a real treat.

Review 28:The owners had paid attention to the smallest detail to ensure that our short visit was perfect. We really could not complain about anything.

Review 29:It would be very hard to find any fault with this beautiful traditional house converted to a guest house. The building is an 18th Century town house, right in the centre of this intriguing town, that has been exquisitely furnished and decorated. We had a spacious family room which had grandeur and charm. The owners were extremely helpful, guiding us carefully as to what our children might enjoy. Breakfast was the real highlight. We could smell some of the jams cooking the night before and breakfast was a delight with pastries, gateaux and eccentric jams, all homemade and delicious. On a practical note, there was ample storage for our surfboards just inside the hotel and we parked outside the hotel for free (Weekends seem to be free from Saturday midday but there were plenty of other spots around). The stay was one of the highlights of our trip to the South West of France - agreed by the whole family!

Review 30:With the heat of the summer, I could have welcome air conditionning. I would also have liked to be able to pay with my credit card instead of cash only. Well, nothing's perfect.

Review 31:This historical hotel particulier has been magnificantly refurbished. It is a gem for those who love houses with character, furnished with taste and pieces collected over the years like in an old French family house. The hosts are the nicest and most helpful you can wish for.
