Reviews for The Club Hotel & Spa Jersey

Review 1:Excellent service, excellent room, very clean and staff were extremley friendly. We both really enjoyed our stay and would reccommend the hotel to friends and family.

Review 2:Cooked breakfast is extra even if you have selected breakfast option, room nicely finished and comfortable however small and tiny bathroom, not worthy of room fee

Review 3:Staff very helpful and can't do enough to help, remember if you have been out and ask if you have had good evening , made to feel very welcome

Review 4:Nothing at all to be honest I worked in hotels all my life and this in the top listings in jersey

Review 5:The swimming pool and steam room so hot, the room was fantastic and so clean

Review 6:Very slow service at breakfast and unclear about what was included. Wifi was only available if I stood by the door of the room which was a bit painful.

Review 7:Good location, lovely comfortable beds, bar was good. Very helpful staff at reception, housekeeping and in the bar.

Review 8:My husband has to use a mobility scooter. The hotel was not geared up for invalid guests, there was no purpose built ramp into the hotel only a metal contraption put down by the staff every time we wanted to enter and exit the hotel, not what you would expect of a 5 star hotel. One night when it was pouring with rain on our return to the hotel no staff available to help us we put down the metal ramp ourselves. When my husband ascended the ramp his scooter reared up and fell sideways my husband fell backwards, banged his head on the pavement and tore his arm badly, his scooter was also scratched and the seat ripped. Rooms were too small to house a mobility scooter or a wheelchair and movement on exiting the lift at bar level extremely restricted.

Review 9:Comfortable beds and good quality continental breakfast

Review 10:Arrived on foot and could not find the Hotel Entrance - no signage! Wash Hand basin in bedroom at such a low level I got backache brushing my teeth.

Review 11:Very comfortable Bed and an opening window made all the difference.

Review 12:Entry and exit from main car park is tricky, otherwise no issues at all

Review 13:We have stayed here a few times and overall experience is very good. Spa is small but covers most bases, just book ahead. Friendly and attentive staff. Easy walk to town centre, restaurants Tec.

Review 14:One of our party was disabled, the facilities are not very wheelchair friendly, in fact we had quite a frightening experience when at the lower entrance, the one by the bar, it was absolutely pouring down and we wanted to get inside ASAP, there was no staff available to put the ramp down, so we had to put it down and when our friend went to go up it, it folded and the wheelchair tipped over, causing our friend to hurt himself slightly, outside there is no call system for anyone to alert staff that help was needed, not very good for this star rating! There should be a proper wheelchair ramp! Poured some fresh orange juice for breakfast took a sip and it had gone off! On our last day didn't find the breakfast staff very helpful eg we had no butter on our table so had to go and find some ourselves and wasn't asked if we would like any more tea or coffee, in fact wasn't even asked if there was anything we wanted or needed. The dining room only had two other couples eating so no excuse really! Oh and just one other little niggle, our room was on 2nd floor opposite the outside pool waterfall, very noisy, could do with switching off about 5pm and not back on until 9am the next morning!

Review 15:The staff in the main very friendly. Very very comfortable bed. Good breakfast.

Review 16:From arrival to departure, all the staff we came across we so helpful and business like. Nothing was too much trouble from Reception, to the Bar Staff to the Restaurant Staff. We ate at Bohemia Restaurant which was a lovely experience, one not to be missed. The bedroom was very comfortable with plenty of additional seating. The Turn down facility was very welcome too. It is so nice to come home to fresh towels and lovely homemade biscuits every evening.

Review 17:Nothing to complain about, but shower could have been more powerfull.

Review 18:Staff were very attentive and friendly. Especially in the bar and restaurant. They even sent me a birthday cake at the end of our meal. Spa was nice but would be even better with a jacuzzi.

Review 19:No point booking breakfast in advance. £30 which only makes sense if you're not alone and want a fully cooked breakfast and extra hot drinks.

Review 20:£10 voucher in room for michelin star restaurant. Which was very good and priced accordingly. Room was comfortable, staff attentive. Only stayed one night.

Review 21:The hall of the hotel is small and empty. No views in the rooms. No gym and a cheap breakfast

Review 22:The One star Michelin restaurant! The steam room. And the receptionist Macik! Very helpful!

Review 23:Having to leave and go back to our son's home at Twickenham could have easily stayed 7 nights - which I would recommend to your guests.

Review 24:We both really liked the location of your Hotel - just so easy to get around to the tourist spots. Staff were most helpful, very polite and your breakfasts fantastic. Our room was spacious, very clean and most comfortable.

Review 25:Free WIFI is good but it was painfully slow. Having paid over £250 per night I don't think you should pay extra for cooked breakfast!

Review 26:Most things were great.

Review 27:Bed and pillows very very poor. Reception said when I complained that ''everyone says best night sleep etc.'' Not helpful and I venture not true.

Review 28:Not accessible for wheelchair and .also myself who has a walking aid couldn't access the .swimming pool. My mother couldn't access all outdoor spaces because of steps.

Review 29:The staff were absolutely brilliant and the beds were comfort but bedrooms a little small for the amount you paid.

Review 30:The towels didn't smell fresh although they were clean. Air conditioning was chilling the bed ie blowing on to the bed.

Review 31:Location was perfect for town and bus service, hotel complex had a tranquil ethos. Best fish and chips ever, and we are from Scotland!!

Review 32:The only complaint we had that our room looked out onto a toilet block and the road was noisy. Very hard for the owners to change.

Review 33:The staff, rooms, food and facilities were all good.

Review 34:The communal areas were mainly the outside terraces so there was nowhere comfortable to sit - or nowhere very much - if inside the hotel. No bar area. No proper lounge. I had to sit in my room a lot. The hotel is designed for summer and hot weather.

Review 35:The reception staff were very friendly. It was a good location.

Review 36:breakfast choices a little limited for the price but food was beautifully fresh. Half board not offered through booking.com

Review 37:Luxury hotel ...lovely pools..friendly and helpful staff . Comfortable beds. We didn't use the spa treatments so can't comment on them. Good central location.

Review 38:The house keeping was hit and miss. One day there were face cloths but not the next. One day there was a bath mat but not the next. Then all of a sudden we only got one set of towels. We asked for these to be replaced and were told they would come during the turn down service but they didn't.

Review 39:The tasting menu at Bohemia restaurant was fantastic.

Review 40:Terrace sub standard for a Michelin starred hotel and poorly staffed. Additional charge for cooked breakfast. Finding bar closed on our return with a business colleague at 23.45.

Review 41:Location

Review 42:Hazardous electricals in room from a lamp plug with no plug back on. Sink tap came off when using it. Certain staff quite rude.

Review 43:Very well located and clean.

Review 44:Room was smaller than expected. chip in bath enamel, wi-fi kept dropping out Spa is small and could do with some updating - 'Experience Shower' was simply various hot and cold jets of water

Review 45:Bohemia restaurant was fabulous though expensive, but you'd expect this with a Michelin star chef. Good 'Eye Bright' facial in spa Smiley, polite room and restaurant staff

Review 46:just that the main restaurant is not open on a Sunday. We booked the hotel to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary hoping to eat there but it was closed fortunately we found a superb restaurant elsewhere

Review 47:Everything. Superb hotel.

Review 48:Great ‘boutique’ hotel with modern facilities and air conditioned rooms. The hotel is close to the centre of St Helier. The staff were very helpful and attentive. Would definitely go back there again.

Review 49:For some reason when cleaning and 'turning down' the room towels were not always replaced which was annoying.

Review 50:The location was great for the centre of St Helier and beyond. It might be difficult to find if driving however. The breakfasts were fantastic and the facilities were great. The Michelin star rated restaurant was definitely worth the visit.

Review 51:The Spa treatments were very expensive; cooked breakfasts were a chargeable extra; no ironing facilities in room; standard laundry was a 48 hrs rather than 24 hrs service.

Review 52:Liked the friendly & helpful staff; the calm & relaxing environment, I liked the atmosphere of the breakfast room (and the taste & quality of the hot food).

Review 53:Breakfast was 'difficult'. Only a continental breakfast which is self service except for tea, coffee & toast. It appeared to be challenging to the waiting staff to serve this timeously, although not particularly busy. Lack of supervision, person in charge - disappointing service for price paid!

Review 54:Lovely bedrooms, extremely clean, housekeeping staff excellent, good location. Indoor and outdoor swimming pools. Reception staff very efficient and helpful.

Review 55:More space in fridge for own water etc. would love a link to gym locally ie metro so guests plus gym profit. Spa limited space changing wise.

Review 56:We booked a suite & loved the decor, modern feel, space. Provided everything we'd need from magazines, top quality bed, coffee tray,

Review 57:Some staff never smiled! Breakfast uninteresting, ESP over a week. Had to pay for cooked breakfast was my biggest problem. In a four star hotel!!. Pool area small, so filled up quickly, but it is in town.

Review 58:Room 303 overlooking pool and afternoon/ evening sun came in . Manager listened to me and was very pleasant. Anyone with mobility probs would struggle to get in the bath for a shower. Good wifi. Tv good

Review 59:Muzak at breakfast. You should not have to pay for a cooked breakfast when £200 a night. The TV had 3 different controls and difficult to use. A strange phone in the room

Review 60:The room and location

Review 61:It would have been good to be advised that the scrambled eggs at breakfast were served with lots of chives mied through.

Review 62:The staff were charming and helpful. The room was beautifully appointed. The location was perfect for us and within easy walking distance of beaches, buses, shops and restaurants.

Review 63:I Asked in My Booking for a Quiet Room? And We were put in the front of the Hotel Roadside, Very Noisy!!

Review 64:The Spa was Lovely and Quiet, and the Pool was lovely and Warm, the only "downside?" The Sauna was Out Of Order, and going by reviews, it has been for Several Weeks! The location is Ideal for St Heliers shops, Bars and Restaurants. All in All a Lovely Break! One "Amazing" Gesture we had an Early Flight, and they allowed us to check in at 11 "ish" instead of 3 Made Our Stay!...........

Review 65:very slight signs of wear and tear in bathroom, paint flaking on ceiling and dirt around shower screen.

Review 66:it was nice and quiet. Had a very relaxing stay.

Review 67:Whats not to like.

Review 68:Friendly helpful staff in a great hotel. Intended to leave hire car at hotel at 11.30 and explore but room was ready and we were able to check in. Real bonus which made our stay seem even longer. Great 'sumptious'spa package with a massage to die for.

Review 69:No bad experiences but location wasn't great and traffic noise was a nuisance. Bath had a 1 inch chip in it.

Review 70:Staff were pleasant and helpful. Enjoyed the outdoor pool. Comfortable bed.

Review 71:Hotel, rooms and spa were all mediocre at best. This is more of a business hotel then 5 star leisure although prices didn't reflect this. We also booked with breakfast included but on check out we were told that only a limited continental breakfast was included and the cooked breakfast extra which was totally unexpected and misleading. Finally the bathroom layout was very odd in that the sinks where extremely low. At first we thought we might be in the room for disabled but our friends also had the same design so it appears this is standard - it was so low it made washing very uncomfortable.

Review 72:The spa is not great. There is no jacuzzi but an area of water jets inside the indoor pool - unfortunately the water that comes out was cold where the water in the pool is warm which makes it uncomfortable; Also was not happy with the attitude of the waiters in the restaurant; we had come from a sports event and apparently were not dressed fancy enough and for that reason we were sat in the bar firstly and then when asked and said we were staying in the hotel they moved us to the restaurant but frowned upon a little bit.

Review 73:The food is amazing. The rooms are comfortable and clean, but I would not rate it as a 5 star hotel.

Review 74:Wifi did not always work but was fine when it did which was most of the time.

Review 75:Medium size hotel in good location near bars, restaurants and shopping in St Helier. Staff very friendly and professional. Used the Spa and bar which were good. Parking always available over the long Easter weekend.

Review 76:would be great to have a gym complimenting the spa facillities

Review 77:the service, friendly effecient staff. excellent quality food , comfy beds with top class linen easy parking

Review 78:Our bathroom sink was extremely low to the ground-perhaps a disabled room though we weren't informed of this. Great value for money but lacked a little personality

Review 79:Continental breakfast was good-varied selection and great value for money. Staff were friendly and attentive. Spa facilities were good but disappointingly no sauna

Review 80:Car parking was adequate but somewhat restricted.

Review 81:Staff were very welcoming and helpful. Housekeeping was excellent. Bar meals were good value for money.

Review 82:Staff friendly, room was quiet and got a good nights sleep. Breakfast was excellent and on the whole enjoyed stay. Cheaper than my normal business hotel and more better

Review 83:Access to the spa is down a pretty long, precipitous flight of stairs. There is no mention of this in any of the hotel information. A real challenge if you are at all mobility impaired. No alternative route and my concerns were treated fairly dismissively. As others have mentioned, only a continental breakfast included. At this top end of the price structure it feels mean spirited to charge for some bacon or a boiled egg.

Review 84:The rooms are superb and have everything you need for a luxurious stay. Restaurant great (we had outstanding service from the maître de when we had a health problem) and location perfect for St Helier. There is a car park. But you really need your wits about you to get in. Narrow and scary concrete ramps.

Review 85:a few toooooo many patterns in the décor and i personally thought they clashed a bit - but thats really being picky to even find something.

Review 86:i loved the staff the attitude to customers and each other, the comfort, the food, the way they handled out problem - anyone can make a mistake, its how its sorted that matters and they did a first class job -well done and thanks

Review 87:Nothing

Review 88:The hotel, its management and its staff were really excellent. The food in the bar is very good and the bar prices were acceptable. The bedrooms were well appointed with plenty of space, air conditioned and very clean and comfortable, the toiletries were of excellent quality . I would highly recommend this hotel.

Review 89:The only thing I found unfortunate was the fact the restaurant was closed

Review 90:Arrived to find we had a free upgrade and bags were immediately taken up to room for us. Staff were extremely pleasant and very helpful with all enquiries.in general a very pleasant stay in a hotel I would put at the top of my list should I return to Jersey for a stay. Which is a definate. I would recommend this hotel to all my friends.

Review 91:Tired in part. Dark and a little drab. Location poor from a room perspective. Rooms which are roadside are very noisy, need better double glazing!

Review 92:Pleasant staff, facilities generally

Review 93:Car park difficult to navigate. Our Brie and cranberry sandwich in the Bohemia lounge was very average. Bread had clearly been defrosted in a microwave.

Review 94:Spa was great. Staff attentive and friendly. Very comfortable room. Quiet.

Review 95:One of the maids was very heavy footed and very often woke us up. No baked beans with the cooked breakfast. Meals were a little on the expensive side.

Review 96:Extremely nice hotel! Staff were really really friendly. Spa was great and although didn't get to use the outside pool, the indoor one was just as good, if not better because it was heated =)

Review 97:The hotel advertised an award winning restaurant which was closed. Nor was their any room service. We still paid for five star hotel prices. Even breakfast was only a continental choice. The room was advertised as deluxe, infact it was small, hot and noisy. The television was dated and impossible to work as was the phone. We had to walk the streets to find a decent restaurant in dreadful weather when we wanted to use the spa and eat in the hotel restaurant. Impossible to find a nice restaurant that wasn't fully booked on the Friday and Saturday nights. we had only booked for the weekend. We were not told before we booked that the restaurant would be closed and the advert showed lots of pictures of the award winning dishes etc. which was why we chose that hotel.

Review 98:the staff did their best under difficult circumstances.

Review 99:Exterior of building very ugly/ no charm. Interior lacks charm/ no real sense of luxury.

Review 100:Staff great. Restaurant food amazing. Great location. Pool empty most of time.

Review 101:Woken at 2am by generator (?) noise. It stopped once we spoke with night concierge. Woken next night by returning guests at 130am as room over entrance and then woken by beeping of reversing delivery vans at 7am, so avoid room 207. Another couple in room 211 also heard noise following night and asked to be moved. TV reception was intermittent. Basin was at knee height - ridiculous design! No shower caps for women! No CD player.

Review 102:Shower was excellent. Spa area ok. No sauna just steam rooms.

Review 103:There was a constant droning sound like a generator all nite. Tv didn't work very well. Paid an extra £30 for what transpired to be a continental breakfast which was def not worth the money. Far better paying for basic room and ordering from the menu.

Review 104:Generally ok, nice shower comfortable bed.

Review 105:Only very minor things. The house keeping staff were a little 'out' with their timings of making up the room and turning down. The bar area was on the cold side for comfort.

Review 106:One of the best restaurants I have eaten in. Very centrally placed and very comfortable.

Review 107:Terrible choice of TV program options, hardly any channel choice and TV's not working properly. For the money charged and quality of hotel they should install cable or satellite TV.

Review 108:The staff were outstanding and accommodations were nice and modern also good food.

Review 109:They need to get a sign-the hotel is a little off the beaten track but the restaurant Bohemia had a bigger focus than the hotel entrance. Breakfast is continental. Disappointing for the money and not highlighted when you book on line or I would have chosen a full breakfast included.

Review 110:The room was super and the power shower and bathroom lovely. Elemis products were great. Smart cocktail bar with good quality cocktails. A small spa but worth a visit.

Review 111:Sinks in the bathroom at a ridiculously lumbago inducing low-level. No instructions for the television which is complicated as it has a set-top box. Only six sun beds by the outdoor pool.

Review 112:great staff, who will look after you very well. Well appointed room. Great spa, a nice outdoor pool. if you can get a deal at a good price it's worth staying here

Review 113:Julie Cabral Reservations Coordinator She was very helpful and went above and beyond in helping us with our needs. This included printing out some travel documents for us as we didn't have access to a printer. She was also very polite and friendly.

Review 114:expensive, the room and the room service/restaurant. poor view from the room even though we are on a fabulous island.

Review 115:location was great, staff were very friendly and service was great. hotel was well appointed with a Michelin starred restaurant and a fabulous Spa. The shower was one of the best I have ever had with the most amazing water pressure.

Review 116:Coming home!

Review 117:Hotel and spa great, fantastic staff, could not do more for you. They even made a special effort to reserve a place for my car next to the door because of my disability. Would like to thank them very much for that.

Review 118:WiFi a bit weak at times.

Review 119:Lovely room with daily house keeping. Elmis products and nightly shortbread, Handy to the bus stop and a short walk to the shops and restaurants. Staff very helpful.

Review 120:I've paid less and had better experiences. No wifi, even after phoning reception they were no help. Booked an hour treatment but wasn't asked what I wanted, just got on with what they thought was best. Spa facilities were limited to what I've experienced elsewhere. Enjoyed stay but too much money, never again.

Review 121:Little extras in our room.

Review 122:Staff on reception were excellent very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Breakfast menu had some different choices to normal hotel breakfasts which was a welcome change. Spa facilities were good and the massage was excellent Room was reasonably spacious and well appointed

Review 123:Poor bar service - barman always missing. Had to go and find him to often. Boring breakfast - same every day, no variety Location of hotel Limited space at pool Difficult, if not impossible, to avoid soaking flor wqhen using shower

Review 124:Obliging, friendly staff Good housekeping - hotel very clean and tidy

Review 125:We couldn't get the TV to work and it took 3 visits from staff to change the old scart lead. Outdoor pool a bit cold and very limited sunbeds available .

Review 126:Very close to town but in a very quiet spot. The staff were so friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Nice outdoor areas and breakfast available until 10.30 am.

Review 127:wifi wasn't very good. but then again need to stay away from internet more!

Review 128:clean, spacious, lovely staff members, comfy bed. shame we didnt get to use the swimming pool because we only had 1 night but it looked amazing!

Review 129:Nothing really but we didn't realise we had to pay for papers every day, the sofa bed needed more support, we ended up on it to stop kids fighting and always ended.up.rolling to the middle. Food in bar restaurant was not suitable.for.younger kids, well not ours anyway! Would have been nice to have had some sort of cooked breakfast included.

Review 130:Family room was excellent with a view of the pool. Swimming pools were good and used every day by us. Staff were friendly and always spoke, turn.down service with shortbread in the evening a nice touch. Room decoration very nice, being a suit it gave us all a bit more space to.relax. Location excellent as it was on the outskirts of town but easy walking distance to restaurants and shops etc but also.easy to get out of.town in the car.

Review 131:hard bed, pillows too soft, lighting in bedroom and bathroom was not good for shaving/make-up etc. Tea making was available in room but was not mentioned in hotel description

Review 132:location, room layout, TV, car parking on site, easy check in and check out

Review 133:Windows in room dirty, furniture chipped, wall dirty, sliding wardrobe doors noisy not just in room could here doors from other rooms would have been better with opening doors, parasols at pool dirty & torn, glass with drinks served at pool area this should be plastic, only 5 sun loungers at pool, would say this was more a business hotel than a holiday hotel.

Review 134:Staff friendly & helpful, food in restaurant very good, bedding changed very regular, turn down service from about 6.30 in the evening when you can get fresh towels if required.

Review 135:St. Helier is obviously a working port, so not the most attractive, but very interesting

Review 136:Convenient location to see the island, use the ferries and a good selection of restaurants

Review 137:WiFi was not functional in the rooms. It was very intermittent which made working in the room very frustrating.

Review 138:I loved the room size and features. The breakfast included was excellent.

Review 139:For such a hotel I think the location could have been better. Green Street is not the most inviting of situations. Getting in and out of the bath was not a problem but if only a shower is being taken there is an urgent need for a vertical grab rail to be provided on the wall at the end of the bath to provide help - especially for elderly residents.

Review 140:My wife and enjoyed our stay at The Club very much. The hotel was very well presented, had a nice ambience and the staff very courteous and helpful.

Review 141:Very comfortable hotel with excellent staff and facilities in the centre of St Helier. Highly recommend it as would the other two couples that came with us. Absolutely everything you need including free wifi
