Review 1：Beautiful setting in quiet town with amazing views of Santorini. Pyrgos is a gem of a town walking distance from hotel, not too touristy, nice restaurants, and lovely cobblestone walkways to explore. Carpe Diem is low-key luxury, not over the top, but really nice with warm, wonderful staff.

Review 5：First of all, great view, clean pool, magnificent breakfast, delightful hospitality... i don't know where to start. hotel manager georgina.. we loved her. she's probably the best manager we ve ever seen. she helped us about everything in a minute. rooms are very clean i guess cleaned 2 times in a day. breakfast at your terrace is great. beds are comfortable. wifi connection is not that bad. we saw other hotels we looked from booking.com and we understood that we reserved the best. if you want a romantic and relaxing vacation or a great honeymoon without problems you should choose carpe diem.

Review 6：Don't go to another place on the island. It will not meet the standards Carpe Diem is trying to achieve. My advice is you rent a car/quad since walking every day the steep hill is somewhat of a challenge. Or take a cab to the village centers and walk there.

Review 11：Everything was nice! The staff were all friendly. The room and the balcony were larger as we expected. The water in the swimming pool was clean. The hotel was so good that we didn't want to go out!

I wish to give them a token when we stayed there but I cannot think of anything to level up to their excellent work in keeping their clients happy and satisfied. I just thank you all SO MUCH. Review 15：For a hotel of this standing I was expecting a bit more attention to details. The bathroom looked a bit old the furnitures in the room used. And finally the wifi was very poor. I would maybe go somewhere else for the price/night.

Review 17：Although the room amenities need big improvements. For instance the bathroom has worn aspect (the shower support have rust, the base of the tub is Yellow), the swimming poll towels are old, the sound equipment is "démodé", and the flat screen is too small for the size of the room. The private swimming poll is too cold. I believe that about 10 years ago it was a wonderful hotel but nowadays it's far bellow the standards for a 535€ daily rate.

Also launch and diner by the big pool with the amazing view is a must if you get there! All the hotel is clean to the perfection. The private pools of every room is a tip for romantic holidays! A place that I wish to go again and again !!

Review 48：I like a massage but didn't have one as I thought the prices were a bit steep - around €100 when I pay half that at home. There were a couple of days when our suite was not cleaned until late afternoon.

Review 49：All staff were happy, friendly and helpful - there when you needed them and unobtrusive when you didn't. The location is away from the hotspots of the island but in a lovely 'local' village with walks, a few shops and good tavernas. Because there are only ten suites breakfast is cooked fresh to order every morning and the staff were happy to be flexible with 'off menu' requests.

Review 50：I absolutely loved our stay at Carpe Diem. From the minute we arrived, we were treated like special guests. The staff is outstanding! They consistantly went above and beyond what we asked. Valentina, the manager, was espeically wonderful. We had some issues with our travel plans and she handled everything so that we could go off and enjoy our time in Santorini. I've never had such amazing service! The daily breakfast was delivered to our room and was excellent. It was the perfect start to our days. The room was absolutely massive and beautifully decorated. The hotel is a ways out from the 'main' area of Santorini but I enjoyed the peace and quiet. We also stayed one night in Fira and I found myself wishing we were back out in the quiet of Carpe Diem. I highly recommend a stay here. You won't regret it!

Review 51：Everything about Carpe Diem was perfect, we were made very welcome, the staff were so friendly. Having stayed on Santorini many times, it was our first in Pyrgos. It didn't disappoint. The views are breathtaking and it was so easy to get to other parts of the island. Breakfast was served on our terrace and was superb. Nothing was too much trouble, we cannot wait to return to this very special and beautiful place. Our only complaint is that our stay was too short. It is the ideal place to unwind from the stresses of work and life, we cannot recommend highly enough

Review 59：Arriving and being „welcomed“ at Carpe Diem we can only describe as theworst hotel experience in our lifetime. Although we advised the hotelthat we would arrive very early in the morning it was strange that ourtaxi driver had to wake up the night guard at 7.00 A.M. to let us inafter waiting outside the gate for a while. We were surprised thatnobody else was to be found at the reception to take care of us. Nobodyreally expects that the booked room is ready at this time of the day butin a 5 star hotel you expect at least a decent welcome and receptionthat is in line with the hotel category. Here: total failure! After 2hours of waiting we convinced someone in the kitchen to serve us somesort of a breakfast. There was still no sight of a receptionist. For herwe had to wait another hour. Finally at 10.00 h we saw her and explainedour total dissatisfaction and claimed to see the reservation Manager.She apparently did not want to see us but we were promised to meet thedirector, what finally happened at 11.00 H. “Carpe Diem” translated,means something different!By that time we were fed up and prepared to leave the hotel again and spent our days on Santorini somewhere else. There was no courtesy at all from the director’s side and he ultimately forced us to stay, claiming a 100 % charge should we leave. After this total disappointment we strolled around in Pyrgos and finally could occupy our room at 2.00 p.m. Although Carpe Diem and the room optically leave a good first impression, it lacks attention to details or the understanding of what really makes a 5 star hotel: used glasses were never cleaned and left in our room, no rubbish bin in our bathroom, the loose toilet seat was never fixed etc. The toilet near the communal pool had no toilet seat at all.We nevertheless enjoyed our stay in Santorini, although Carpe Diem did not at all promote such feelings. We advise future guests to think twice whether they want to spend their time and money there.

Review 60：Unprofessional manner, Luke warm breakfast, cold and uncleared plunge pool and built on a 1:3 hill that requires a car or bike to access the hotel. Not worth 4 stars, maybe 3 and certainly not worth 400 euro. Sent an email to the manager it remains unanswered.

Review 62：Very quiet place, very nice staff and service. Definitively a place to enjoy, 5 minutes drive from Fira. View on the entire north part of the island with nice sunset view. Having a car is almost a necessity if you want to enjoy beaches and the other towns for dinners. The hotel also can organize you one.

Review 63：I didn't like that the water in the private plunge was very cold so I was not able to use it most of the time despite we were in July and the existence of this facility in the room was one of the main reasons of selecting the hotel.... I advise the management to heat it....
