Reviews for Corfu Pearl
Review 1:Too much foliage around the pool area meaning little space to relax around pool
Review 2:Athena and her family are great hosts. Mama's food was lovely. We had a superior studio which had been recently refurbished and the shower was great (a first for Greece). Very enjoyable stay and great base for walking.
Review 3:The only slight down side was that the pool and sun loungers did appear a little tired. This could have been due to being near the end of the season, and good use throughout the summer.
Review 4:Very relaxing location. Lovely pool and views. You can order dinner at breakfast and eat in their 'little taverna' on site, complete with bar. Family ran, who were all nice and friendly.
Review 5:A very nice family business, with very kind staff. The location, very quiet, perfect to rest up. The amazing food prepared by the Mama, that you absolutely have to try!
Review 6:no internet in our room, but our room was the only one i think, because of its position at the far end. it was not a problem of our devices because it worked in the breakfast area. the manager took care of the problem immedialtely after reclamation. We had to sleep with the air condition turned on because of a leaky mosquito net.
Review 7:staff very attentive, helpful and warm. quiet location. mosquito nets. House in good order. we checked some apartement-houses on site before booking because we have been already there for a while: the cheaper one´s we´ve seen were places we didn´t want to spend our holydays in, especially considering the sanitary installations (and their smell you can´t see on the pictures) and old furnishing. However, at Corfu pearl we had good conditions.
Review 8:Would have been nice to have bar facilities in the evening.
Review 9:Lovely views from balcony of our room in a tranquil setting. Fab pool and breakfast area. Helpful staff who returned our keys in the post after we accidently left without them.
Review 10:You can hardly reach the beach by foot, but if you have transport it is the perfect place to explore Corfu Island.
Review 11:Very beautiful and quite place with good facilities and with the very nice people working there and owning the place. Location is very good, but ideally to have you own transport to reach all interesting destinations and beaches. It is a very quiet place near the center of Liapades village. The room was clean and comfortable, balcony was spacious with beautiful view on the pool and the trees around. Breakfast was good. Wi-Fi was OK. Wish to come back there someday!
Review 12:If there's one small thing that could be better, it's the bed which can make some noise because of the springs in the mattress or the bed bottom.
Review 13:We stayed for 10 days in a superior studio, which was big enough for the two of us. The room was very clean and had easy access to the large swimming pool. The personnel was very friendly and helpful. Corfu pearl is located quietly but you could use a car if you're planning on doing some trips (walking to liapades beach takes a half hour). Liapades has a very nice beach and there are some other beaches in the neighborhood that are worth a visit, though some of these can only be reached by boat. There are some nice restaurants on the road to liapades beach (our favourite was michalis), when you drive to paleokastritsa, you will see there are plenty of places to have dinner. We enjoyed our stay in Corfu Pearl very much and can certainly recommend it to people looking for a quiet holiday.
Review 14:Only 1 pot and 1 pan in kitchen (but when I asked for another pot I was given it). No problem
Review 15:Peaceful secluded location Friendly and helpful hosts Beautiful surroundings Clean and comfortable accommodation
Review 16:The classic rooms are a bit tired, but most of the other rooms looked good. The beds in classic room were not comfortable.
Review 17:Quiet location, good views from balcony, beautiful part of the Island. Good location if you have a hire car (but would be a bit too far from beaches, 30mins uphill walk back, if you didnt have a car)
Review 18:The breakfast was not varied, furniture smelled of mold, but they changed the wardrobe
Review 19:Located in a very peaceful location, room is comfortable, swimming pool is very clean and very large, perfect service
Review 20:- difficult to find; - the breakfast is really poor. Cold eggs; melon only, as fruit (no other fruit available); and there is the cheapest marmelade thinkable (it is colored sugar and water in yellow and red) while your surrounded by the most aromatic fruits on the island - you would think that somebody catches the idea to produce and to offer tasty marmelade to the visitors of Corfu Pearl - but unfortunately, no.
Review 21:The pool, the house, the garden - for the money charged, this is a good deal!
Review 22:The only concern I have are the beds. They creak, which slightly disturbs the sleep.
Review 23:The hosts are so nice, always doing their best to help you and to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
Review 24:The rooms upstairs needs to be renovated a bit, the bathroom and kitchen in particular.
Review 25:great location !! not cruded with very nice and simple rooms. beautiful balcony facing the view.
Review 26:Everything, pool was very clean, well equipped and clean room, staff was very helpful, excellent yogurt with honey :D, Was close to Gefyra beach and at 2 km of Paleokastrita beach. Good wifi. Private parking. Quiet.
Review 27:Everything was great. Room comfortable, nice swimming pool, beautiful wonderful area. But the most important is owners of the Hotel. Very halpful and friendly.
Review 28:The kitchen facilities are very poor, although is a large, two-bedrooms apartment for four people. The wifi doesn’t work almost nowhere. The breakfast boring, unanimous, not variety. The owner is not too helpful.
Review 29:The place is beautiful and silent. The large pool is nice. The apartment is comfortable.
Review 30:No wi-fi in rooms although it is on the balcony and in public areas. Very small kitchen area which didn't worry us but depends whether you want to prepare food or not- breakfast lasted us until our evening meal. There was no shade on our balcony- a parasol would have been ideal- we love the sun but it was exceptionally hot in the direct heat. Few sunbeds round the pool and they are starting to show their age!
Review 31:We loved the fact that the Corfu Pearl is slightly out of town in a very peaceful location. The breakfast was superb with a good variety of food on offer. The pool area is good and the pool is a decent size. Some small bottles of toiletries were in the bathroom when we arrived and toilet paper was replenished regularly. We were able to keep our room on until 4pm at no extra cost as no-one was coming in after us that day. It is a good 15 minute walk to the first of the tavernas although it is an easy walk. The nearest supermarket is a few minutes walk from Corfu Pearl. All in all we had a great stay and would recommend for a peaceful break!
Review 32:The staff was just acceptable, nothing more.. Seems like they have enough customers. The washing lady was nice though! No Wi-Fi on the far side of the main building. Could have had more equipment in the kitchen, wasn't even salt and pepper.. A walking distance of 20-30 min to the beach. We're young so no problem, and when you can rent a 4-wheeler for 20-30 euro a day, it's no need to complain! All in all it's still recommendable.
Review 33:A peacefully and good-looking hotel. A satisfying breakfast. Great balcony and pool-area. Liapades is the best place on Corfu! A charming village, several beautiful beaches, clear turquoise water and marvelous surroundings.
Review 34:We liked everything! Take a torch if you're planning to walk at night.
Review 35:Situated in quiet countryside, about a 10 minute walk from Liapades village, supermarkets and beach. Corfu Pearl is not near any other hotels/studios and is in a very quiet location. Ideal if you want to relax in peaceful surroundings. Most people staying here had hire cars. If you are happy to walk though, some lovely quiet beaches can be reached within 20-30 minutes through countryside and olive groves. The main beach in Liapades is only about 10-15 minute walk away. If you don't have a hire car, there is also a local bus service. Our room was immaculate: clean and comfortably furnished. Air-con works very well. The pool area is beautiful, and was not very busy at all in early July. There wasn't a snack bar/drinks service during the day or evening. Breakfast is served on the shady terrace by the pool and is sufficient to set you up for the day (yoghurt, breads, cake, fruit, cheese etc) Staff are friendly and helpful. All in all, Liapades is a lovely sleepy village and Corfu Pearl is good quality accommodation and highly recommended for a quiet break.
Review 36:I liked everything about Corfu pearl except the comfort of the bed, but that's just my preference.
Review 37:Very kind people
Review 38:Liked everything.
Review 39:Large swimming pool, very quiet in the countryside. V clean. Good value for money.
Review 40:You need a car
Review 41:Good location Friendly staff, very helpful Very clean Great value
Review 42:Nice superior rooms. Nice pool. Friendly staff.
Review 43:-hard to find for the first time.
Review 44:-clean and well equiped rooms -good breakfast
Review 45:More wider selection needed for breakfast (especially vegetables and fresh products).
Review 46:Very nice garden and pool.
Review 47:It is a little hidden gem, an oasis where you can absolutely reset and relax. We loved the location, it's situated close enough to the main village of Liapades but far enough from the touristy bits. The swimming pool and the views-stunning! Want to definitely come back one day.
Review 48:Nothing but..relatively isolated location may be a problem for those with mobility issues.
Review 49:An exceptionally well-run, family-managed establishment in an idyllic and peaceful location about 1km from Liapades village and beach. Hospitality and attention to detail is first class. The poolside area is very well maintained, the rooms very well serviced and the breakfast provided in the room price is good quality for the overall price. Authentic bars/coffee houses and grill in the centre of old village; Aspros Taverna on the main road to Gefyra beach provides fantastic quality and value with the warmest of welcomes.
Review 50:no claims to the hotel
Review 51:completely injoyed my staying there:) spacious room, nice atmosphere of a family enterprise, very friendly landlady Athina, calm and relaxing ambiance. All necessary is in the room, all you need is in the village near. For clients with a car. Nice location for those who want to explore the island in whole, everything is close. The south is not that picturesque to my opinion. For beaches around Rovignia is the best.
Review 52:The breakfast was adequate but the quality could be improved.
Review 53:Athina and her family were great hosts providing excellent advice on the best tavernas and the quietest beaches. They couldn't have been more welcoming and the rooms were spotless.
Review 54:Nothing to do with the Pearl but Michalis Taverna in the village servedawful food, avoid!
Review 55:Lovely clean apartments and an excellent swimming pool with plenty ofloungers, Breakfast was ok too which included bread, juice, coffee andpreserves and also some fresh fruit, the village of Liapades is about aten min stroll to the start of the Tavernas, we hired a Moped, (budget20 euro per day) as its a bit of a slog up and down to the beach in theheat. Best beach in the area was Limini (double beach) albeit pebbles, all in all a decent place to stay for a relaxing holiday.
Review 56:The accommodation was superb! Great deal for less money! Very clean and well maintained! Mr Dimitris and Mrs Ksenia, the owners are great and are making sure that you receive a perfect service. The swimming pool area is an oasis! Surely worths visiting for a relaxed holiday!
Review 57:Remote location and no pool bar
Review 58:Lovely rooms, good breakfast
Review 59:Breakfast was poor
Review 60:Nice and quiet location, surroundings beautiful.
Review 61:Staff always smiley and helpful, clean and nice rooms, quiet location
