Reviews for Logis Hôtel Lafayette Rochefort France

Review 1:The hotel management on our arrival made it perfectly clear the dog was not welcome,my wife immediately offered to rescind the booking, this was unfortunately refused resulting in making our stay most uncomfortable. We do feel that dog charges should be stated up front as it is immediately stated on arrival.

Review 2:Leaving

Review 3:The owner of this hotel is lovely. As a solo traveller he made me feel very welcome and speaks good English. The breakfast was delicious especially the home made jam and bread. Great location also.

Review 4:There was nothing for us not to like.

Review 5:All aspects of this Hotel were good and we enjoyed our stay. Breakfast gave a very wide choice and it was plentiful.

Review 6:Good size double room with large bathroom and comfortable large double bed, free WiFi. Owners & Staff very nice, good breakfast and pet friendly. Fabulous location with plenty of parking near by, would stay again.

Review 7:I liked the cosiness and the style of the hotel. The staff talks English and gave us very helpful information about this strange town and its remarkable history. The town needs to be freshened up and reminded me of South-American towns. And I also had this Latin American feeling on the hotel.

Review 8:The bed was'nt very comfortable, and the room was very narrow. We know it was a last minute cheap room but it would have probably paid to upgrade.

Review 9:Good friendly staff, with an excellent buffet breakfast. The hotel is ideally situated for the main port attractions.

Review 10:Extraordinary helpful and friendly staff. Very good breakfast (and for little money too). Calm, rather small hotel (the ones you ought to like). Focused on details. Quiet room. Clean. On the weekends there's a huge market with local products just in front of the hotel. Very good restaurants/brasseries in the vicinity (try L'Aromate in 121 rue THIERS). They will probably make a good deal for a longer stay. Ask them!

Review 11:Location is 100m from the Hermione, LaFayette's rebuilt ship. The breakfasts are plentiful, varied and good. The bathroom in our room (#5) is huge, well-lighted, completely modern - a delight! Owners are friendly and helpful.

Review 27:Excellent breakfast for those who need more than coffe and a croissant! The staff is helpful and easy to talk to. Location is perfect.

Review 28:The hotelier was a lovely man and super helpful!

Review 29:Standard room has a very small bed WiFi weak in the upper floors

Review 30:Pretty décor Nicely located Clean

Review 31:If the windows were open at night, street noise could be loud, especially the nights before the three-times-a-week market.

Review 32:My daughter was moving to France, and just about everything went wrongwith the trip except for staying at this hotel. The owners went aboveand beyond to help us, including with lost luggage, a stolen computer, recommending parts of town best to live in, looking up availableapartments on the computer for us - since we had no computer -recommending restaurants, places to go and things to see, where to buyhousehold goods, and making several phone calls to help set up ouraccount with electric company. Food was good. The people were likefamily. I wouldn't stay anywhere else.

Review 33:Walls are very thin and you can hear everything next to your room.We were unlucky because the room next to us were staying a family with two childs and they were very noisy.

Review 34:Location.You can walk everywhere very easily.

Review 35:There was a problem with the Wi Fi and we could only access it from downstairs.

Review 36:The cleanliness and no carpet. Timber floors and tiles are always cleaner than carpeted rooms.

Review 37:The only problem was that we couldn't easily park very close by, but that is often a problem with town centre hotels and is not something the owners could really do much about.

Review 38:The family-run feel of the place, and the fact that some thought had been given to the decor. It had a bit of charm, in other words.

Review 39:Parking can be a problem as street parking by the hotel is limited to 2hours. There is a 1000 space car park free of charge within 10 mins walkif you're ok with leaving your car there

Review 40:A pleasant hotel in a good location, however Rochfort sur mer is not onthe sea it is about 15 kms from the sea. Friendly staff

Review 45:there was nothing we didn't like

Review 46:everything - staff were extremely helpful

Review 47:First the police station near the hotel starts to work at 4 am. After we asked to change the room it became better.

Review 48:Nice stuff

Review 49:Noisy (banging doors)

Review 50:Typical French Logis hotel, a bit noisy at night but good value and nice breakfast. Good bike storage

Review 51:Nothing worth commenting on
