Reviews for Hotel Quai d'Azur

Review 1:No Lift, Narrow stairs

Review 2:Nice little hotel with small rooms in an excellent location, walking distance to the riverside restaurants, parking nearby & pleasant staff

Review 3:Poor wifi reception in rooms. Had to stand near the door in our room to get reception. Parking in surrounding streets is a bit of a lottery.

Review 4:Great location close to pretty fishing port , beaches and restaurants. Staff were impeccably friendly and helpful (and some spoke good English).Communal fridge and microwave oven are a bonus.

Review 5:The bedroom/chambre was so small as to be extremely cramped for 2 people. It was situated fronting onto a the main access road...and hence the noise made it impossible to sleep. The basin in the bathroom had the plug removed and a fine spray restrictor fitted on the tap to ensure that little water could be used. The towels also did not look clean and had seen better days. Wifi in the room was non existent...and the manager suggested we try sitting down in the hotel reception area. Although the breakfast charge was reasonable, the actual breakfast as presented was a shocker. There actually was very little presented, and consisted of 2 small pieces of stale bagette and 2 small croissants. 1 single piece of butter was delivered to the table. The yogurt was also interesting..packed into small containers with no manufacturers details about the contents, the taste of the unsweetened white material contents were certainly not going to encourage a return for more. The hot milk and hot chocolate flasks contained luke warm liquids, although a hot coffee did arrive eventually. The fruit offering consisted of a bowl of apples on the table. The petit dejeuner really did look like we were partaking of the local prison rations. We originally paid for 2 nights, but just had to leave after 1 night...and the manager who indicated they had only been there 12 months, refused to refund our money for the second night. In summary, this budget hotel should be regarded as a last choice for anyone, except perhaps for solo travellers who just might encounter improved operating services at this hotel.

Review 6:The hotel was positioned very close to the seaport...with good access to restaurants and cafes.

Review 7:Really friendly staff, helped us print off a boarding pass and went out of their way to accomodate us. Excellent location near all the restaurants and beach

Review 8:Alot of mosquitos and the coffee was terrible!

Review 9:Friendly atmosphere. Nice courtyard with alot of potential.

Review 10:Breakfast coffee was not hot enough!

Review 11:Staff were welcoming and helpful. There were three of us,all old and one with limited mobility, and every effort was made to look after us.

Review 12:I would have preferred a room on the patio side. will ask for it next time I book as will be quieter (though double glazing is efficient)

Review 13:staff / the patio / the summer kitchen / the location

Review 14:shower did not work. no plug in sink. very basic. needs a really good refurbishment. bathroom facilities were terrible. toilet cistern took ages to fill and did not flush properly. breakfast poor

Review 15:good location. it serves its purpose. inexpensive bed for the night. very welcoming staff, pretty courtyard, pity about the room.

Review 16:Jeremy and Andrea were relaxed, friendly and helpful; exactly what we needed when fixing our broken tandem. The courtyard was a great space and the small outside kitchen is a nice addition. Wifi signal was good. A cute little balcony too.

Review 17:It did feel a bit tacky.

Review 18:Near to, but not actually on, the main canalside drag, (so quieter). Free carparking at end of street, if you can find a space. If not, park further along, then move car nearer when all the day trippers have gone. The hotel does have a small courtyard with tables plus a small kitchen area with microwave so, if you are on a tight budget, you can bring takeaways or microwavable stuff and eat at the hotel. However, that might defeat the object of coming to Grau du Roi to sample its very reasonably priced seafood restaurants.

Review 19:It was poor value for the money

Review 20:We liked the location it was central

Review 21:old, Needs restaration and more ambience
