Reviews for Levant Hotel

Review 1:Some problems with wasps at breakfast time.

Review 2:Wonderful location and several excellent beaches nearby. The restaurant while quiet served good food and wine.

Review 3:Beautiful location. Stunning views and sunsets. Away from the crowds but easy walk to Pelekas village. Very good restaurant and friendly helpful staff. Large comfortable bedroom with balcony and sea view. Swimming Pool. Hire car arranged easily. Great holiday.

Review 4:The hotel is wonderful a home from home beautiful views, magical sunsets, friendly helpful staff that go out of their way to please. clean rooms, beds and towels changed regularly, rooms cleaned and aired every day, excellent food. i could go on and on will stay here every year when I visit Corfu my Greek Jewel in the Ionian.

Review 5:Breakfast was ok but nothing special, though the location under olive trees was nice. The rooms were a little dated, but this was more a matter of taste - everything was clean and tidy.

Review 6:Stunning location on the Kaiser's throne - lots of people drive up just for the views all over the island, especially at sunset. Otherwise it was relatively quiet, away from the mass tourism elsewhere on Corfu. Staff all friendly and helpful. Good pool.

Review 7:- the hotel has definitely lost its glory!! it looks like the owner is showingly stingy and doesn't want to reinvest a single euro he takes for the rooms into the hotel. When you pay for the room, you pay for the view and absolutely nothing else. It is a pity as the hotel has so much potential. - the rooms are very old and not restored: the bed is old and cheap with holed linens. The same with the towels (which are filled with large holes). Like the rest of the room, the electricity dates back from the 50's and you will have to choose between watching TV or having an electric plug available for loading your phone. - the old receptionist was not friendly. - the soundproofing is non-existent: you can hear everything happening on the same floor. - the breakfast and jacuzzi area are filled with a disgusting smell from the cesspit. - the restaurant is very bad and overpriced. A real tourist trap without a chef. They attract tourists for the view. For example, the "greek risotto" consists in cheap rice with a cheap industrial tomato sauce heated in the microwave oven with frozen shrimps. Go anywhere else in Pelekas! - the breakfast is simply disgusting! Flee while you can... it is no point to provide a breakfast at all if you give the cheapest food with an extremely limited choice. It is taking people for nuts! In addition, we observed that the "fresh food" was not changed from day to day. For example, the very same build eggs (with fractured shells) where re-served at least three days in a row (are they going to wait there for a month?). in conclusion, we did not trust the food at all. It is so sad that the hotel is managed in this way when it has everything to succeed...

Review 8:everything which is not linked to the hotel: the magnificent view, the village of Pelekas and the location of the swimming pool.

Review 9:The breakfast was utterly disappointing, for a whole week we had the same narrow selection of food, of which the hot choices were over-fried cold and oily eggs and sausages. I wish they would add, or at least alternate omelette and bacon, maybe add hot dogs. We had the last room at the end of the corridor, so the internet only worked at the door.

Review 10:The views are simply stunning. The pool is well maintained and is of a decent size, as well as the lounging area. Apart from the odd occasion of kids shouting in excitement while playing, the other guests were super attentive and quiet as well.

Review 11:Spiros and his family and staff are brilliant with nothing too much trouble. The setting is fabulous... It must be one of the best spots to stay on corfu.

Review 12:the smell from the cesspit made sunbathing by the pool unpleasant. The food is below average.

Review 13:The magnificent location and views,the quietness,nice atmosphere,helpful staff.

Review 14:Ground floor room looking on to car park. Couldn't change as the hotel was full but the staff were apologetic.

Review 15:The hotel is situated at the top of a hill with amazing views over Corfu. The restaurant is a fantastic place to sit in the evening. The portions are huge and the food is very nice. The hotel is a bit dated but the pool area is really nice and the staff are friendly. The wifi coverage isn't great in the rooms but fine in the public areas. The nearby town of Pelekas is a lovely place to spend a day and a few minutes on there's one of the nicest beaches on Corfu.

Review 16:The food was poor heading for awful. This is a great pity as a good chef could make this the perfect spot

Review 17:The hotel is shabby chic and in a great position Fantastic sunsets

Review 18:A lovely old-style hotel in a beautiful setting, fantastic view from terrace where we ate dinner whilst watching the sun set. Lovely pool and loungers. In all, one of the best hotels we have stayed in.

Review 19:Nothing in particular - but we are not hard to please.

Review 20:Great location on west coast yet easy to get to. Very comfortable. Close to restaurants in town but very quiet. Good value.

Review 21:The shower head was barely putting out water. It was a pretty minimal shower experience.

Review 22:Location, very nice building, nice room.

Review 23:Very nice location and charming hotel with faded elegance...

Review 24:Everything ... best place in Corfu..wish we could stay longer :)

Review 25:- good breakfast - beautiful views from the hotel (located at the hill) - nice swimming pool - pelekas is a nice town

Review 26:Intermittent hot water and wifi

Review 27:Position

Review 28:every thing is fabulous

Review 29:Staff could be more cheerful

Review 30:Great views,traditional hotel

Review 31:having to move on -( we were walking the Corfu Trail)

Review 32:Wow. this is a special place, very comfortably tasteful, not too big, with enough space to avoid that hemmed in feel you can sometimes get, just nicely done, with pretty garden and decent pool , attentive staff, lovely food, great breafast - and the view!

Review 33:No food available during the daytime although this may have been because we were there at the end of the season

Review 34:The old fashioned style of the hotel, wonderful views and relaxed atmosphere. Near enough to walk into the village of Pelekas where there is a choice of restaurants and bars. Also not far to drive to the lovely sandy beach at Glyfada

Review 35:If you haven't got your own transport then Don't come here. You will be stranded. The bus stops way down the road and you have to trek up to village (10 minutes ) then trek up steep hill (at least 10 more minutes) to this hotel. The reception staff very unhelpful and said no transport to beach (about an hour's trek away) abd we found this was not so as once a day a minibus went down and back. THEN after 6 nights there they made us trundle our bags to the bus and we are 70 and 65 years old.The place once was nice but is now tired and owners need toIimprove their PR skills and manners. We cannot reccommend this place.

Review 36:Not a lot. They did though always have hot water for showers. Also the waitresses at night wete very good.If you

Review 37:Not too keen on all the cats at breakfast.

Review 38:We liked the hotel very much. The breakfasts were excellent. The situation of the hotel was perfect and 'mine host' was very pleasant and helpful. "We will return sometime soon.

Review 39:the location of this hotel is magnificent' the rooms are very nice although modest.we think that this is the best place to stay while vis.ting corfu

Review 40:Wonderful location, just beyond Pelekas village, a lovely spot with beautiful views & lovely sunsets. We booked a larger room & facilities were perfectly adequate. Swimming pool delightful. Staff really helpful & considerate, with the senior staff speaking fluent English. Very good menus in dining room. Buffet breakfast very satisfactory, including fresh fruit, yoghurt, cold meats, cheese and a good choice of breads. Would love to go back some time.

Review 41:Hard bed & waterproof undersheet. No basin plug. Breakfast coffee.

Review 42:Charming staff. Good-sized light bedrooms with balconies and marvellous high-up views. East-facing rooms look across the island to Corfu town and the mainland and have morning sun. West-facing rooms look over the tree-clad coast and the sea and have afternoon and evening sun. Beaches are a short drive away, or a hard walk back up the hill to the hotel.

Review 52:noise when people were walking on the wooden floor.

Review 53:view - fantastic!

Review 54:Nothing that I can think of.

Review 55:Loved staying there. What it lacked in luxury it made up for in charm both from the building and the management.
