Reviews for Limes Country House Hotel
Review 1:Nothing not to like - a free morning newspaper is nice but at the bargain price we paid, an unreasonable expectation
Review 2:Very comfortable, well equipped rooms. Good breakfast and very attentive service. Attractive view from dining room
Review 3:I would have like a full power shower. I was unable to use the mixer shower as there wasn't a bracket on the wall to hang it from. Also I got stuck in the bath and there were no handles to help me get out.
Review 4:Set in beautiful gardens with lots of wildlife and close to Lincoln.
Review 5:Not being able to stay longer....
Review 6:All of it.... the location, the service, the wild life, the breakfast, the free cooking apples, the room! It was spacious and warm with plenty of hospitality items. Wonderful.
Review 7:There really should be a fixed shower rather than a fitting that is not long enough to hold at head height, attached to bath taps.
Review 8:Great host, very helpful. Great breakfast.
Review 9:The decor was very dated & perhaps gave a wrong initial impression. Also my room didn't have a shower which I would have liked.
Review 10:The service was excellent, nothing was too much trouble & I was made to feel very welcome. The breakfast was also extremely good & freshly cooked to order. The rooms, although dated, contained everything you needed & more than you would have expected.
Review 11:The drive from the road to the hotel front door is in need of repair and therefore not easy to walk along and a bit hard on the car..
Review 12:The room was dated, but very clean and comfortable. The poached eggs on the breakfast were excellent. Compliments to the chef. The propritor was very friendly and helpful.
Review 13:Accommodation was good, a little noisy maybe. Not a fan of memory foam so I didn't find the bed very comfortable.
Review 14:Close enough to town to stroll in for evening meal. Breakfast was good with a nice choice.
Review 15:Nothing bad to write about.
Review 16:Friendly owners. Town centre a five minute walk away with lots of different places to eat (as The Limes do not serve evening meals).
Review 17:Peace and quiet, comfortable bed, cleanliness, attentive staff, excellent breakfast, everything we needed for a short break. WiFi intermittent but not really a problem for us.
Review 18:Unfortunately the interior is very tired and dated. There is no shower or even a shower head to use in the bath which makes for difficult bathing. The breakfast was nice but it felt as if pennies were being watched - with jugs of orange juice and milk only being partially refilled at a time and with cheap white bread used for toast.
Review 19:The hotel is set in a stunning location in beautiful quiet grounds with plenty of parking space. Free wifi.
Review 20:Everything looks a bit dated now. Old fashioned bathroom - no shower, black tiles. Needs some investment to update & freshen up the decor.
Review 21:For the price paid it was good value. Very friendly/helpful owner/manager who knows the area well & provided good information for evening meal locally. Good breakfast.
Review 22:Having to leave
Review 23:Peaceful friendly hotel the host was helpful but discreet & gave advise on the area that made our break stress free would recommend anybody needing a break from the hectic to go here.
Review 24:The owner, Kevin could not have been more friendly, welcoming and helpful. A very quiet location yet close to town. Wildlife to watch in the garden.
Review 25:Would have liked a well lit mirror near a power point but this is a minor niggle, there were mirrors and power points. The owners are working gently into retirement so there are some minor decorative repairs which are apparent, given the situation and the massive positives of a stay here these are minor issues and didn't spoil our stay at all
Review 26:The customer absolutely comes first at this establishment and the management go out of their way to make sure you are happy. Our standard twin was a huge room with double and single beds. Very welcoming, lovely breakfast and great to see wildlife in the grounds. Parking in the grounds and right by the door.
Review 27:In a quiet rural spot, this is a characterful old house. Not designer-boutique, but my room was very comfortable and tasteful. Good breakfast looking out at woodland gardens with abundant wild birds. A professionally managed and caring hotel.
Review 28:As I was travelling alone the friendliness and warm welcome I received was really appreciated. The location was beautiful and very quiet. I will definitely book again when I am next in that area on business.
Review 29:No shower in room (only bath)
Review 30:Friendliness/rapport of Mr Kerr Advice on where to eat in evening Location very near Market Rasen Parking facilities fine
Review 31:It's cosy but could do with some refurb.
Review 32:Warm welcome, very informative re places to eat in Market Rasen, lovely setting, and only a stroll from centre of town. Breakfast good.
Review 33:he best part of our stay was its serenity and above all the quality of service which was very warm and genuine The owners Mr and Mrs Kerr were so courteous down to earth and very helpful. God willing visit this part of the country again soon and without doubt stay and enjoy the hospitality Dr Ainapore
Review 34:Slightly duff water pressure, wifi etc. Breakfast was outstanding BUT super traditional - if you'd rather just serve yourself, and be left to it with no comments etc, this isn't the right choice for you (with the best will in the world) that's a matter of taste - if you wouldn't enjoy that, your money is better spent elsewhere.
Review 35:The hotel was very pleasant, with a lot of space in the room, lovely view, and is in a very pleasant place. The hotelier is clearly a purist, provides outstanding service (without being asked to) and in addition great chats and information about the local area.
Review 36:Nothing to complain about.
Review 37:Clean, good sized room with pleasant views. Lots of wild life to watch. Owner could not have been more helpful and the cooked breakfast was excellent, we shall visit again.
Review 38:Shower was a bit quirky so I had a lovely bubble bath with the complementary toiletries.
Review 39:Warm welcome from the owners. Comfortable double room and great English breakfast. A country house with charm and character.
Review 40:Very minor point, but maybe have summer duvets for the beds?
Review 41:Kevin, the owner, is courteous and friendly and is always there to help and, if you want, to have a chat. The situation is sufficiently tucked away from the bustle of Market Rasen to be a great location.

Review 112:Nothing was too much trouble for Mr. Kerr the owner. The room was comfortable, quiet, with a pleasant view. Breakfast was a delightful & delicious, cooked to order & served in a lovely bay windowed room with a terrific view of the extensive garden.
Review 113:The huge gardens have been wonderful but are now sad as only the grass is being cut. The outside of the building is in need of a good re-decorating. Such a shame the squash courts are closed.
Review 114:The friendly staff, clean and very comfortable beds, the large garden location. The food was very good and an excellent choice. Would certainly go again if in the area.
Review 115:This establishment should be down graded to a bed and breakfast. There are no evening or lunch time dinning facilities, the bar is not well stocked and only has bottle beer and does not have any down stairs toilet facilities. The double room although clean did smell a little of dampness.
