Reviews for Vigla Hotel

Review 1:Lovely hotel run by a sweet local family based in Tholaria village. The rooms are nice and clean with great beds and a nice bathroom. The swimming-pool with a bar/restaurant is also great especially if you're traveling with children.

Review 2:An amazing family who run the hotel. The food at the Vigla restaurant is delicious, all home cooking done by the mother. All the fresh olives, capers, cheese, wine etc is produced by the family. Quaint town with a homely atmosphere.

Review 3:WiFi in the room was not working . You had to go to the main building and there it also was not always available.

Review 4:Beds , breakfast superb, bathroom. Very friendly and informative staff. Tholaria is a nice village with a few Nice restaurants and beautifull walking possibilities to the opposit village and the mountains

Review 5:Could not find anything that we did not like!!

Review 6:Just about everything! The hotel is lovely, the owners are friendly and very hospitable. The home cooking is exceptional. Tholaria is a lovely, clean and quaint village.

Review 7:There is no shade near the (lovely) pool; music in the pool area was annoying; our room with a (small) double bed was rather cramped but we were offered a larger room - we didn't take it because it only have twin beds.

Review 8:The views, the breakfasts, the people, the location; the pool; the (recently refurbished) bathroom. We were told that the bed situation (i.e. too many twins and not enough doubles) is going to be rectified.

Review 9:All great

Review 10:Beautiful hotel with great staff and facilities. Gorgeous views looking down towards Aigiali. Nice clean rooms with typical Greek furnishing exactly what one should expect. Amazing swimming pool and spa, enjoyed every moment. I would highly recommend that you organise car hire prior arriving to Amorgos in peak summer, you will need it to see the most beautiful beaches that Amorgos has to offer, otherwise you will be restricted with there bus services. Further more I will always recommend Vigla Hotel to all my family and friends. It was the most relaxing and beautiful Greek island. John and Helen Pantazopoulos

Review 11:We really appreciated the hotel. It is located in a lovely mountain village very close and easily accessible to Aegili. The atmosphere is relaxing and peaceful and the staff makes everything for your stay to be perfect. The view on the bay is astonishing for breakfast. We hihly recommend this hotel!

Review 12:Bedroom furniture need an update. So does the aircon system. Internet connection did not work all days, but this was a problem of the whole village, not just the hotel. In general lovely place, but not double as beautiful in comparison to other hotels in order to justify the price which was two times higher.

Review 13:I lOVED the location, (although Tholaria is a very small super cute village, other people who want more action may want to consider Chora). Nice pool area, great homemade breakfast, easy access right in front of the bus stop (very important if you have a heavy luggage). Extremely friendly staff.

Review 14:The buses didn't go so often. Sometimes we had to wait 2 hours or more. We had some problems using the internet, both on our mobiles and on the computer near the reception.

Review 15:The pool was fantastic. We could get a very nice massage in there. The breakfast buffé was perfect except for the bread where we would have preferred a darker bread with more fibres. We would have liked to have the eggs boiled at the most 5 minutes instead of 10.

Review 16:Wifi did not work properly - not in room and not around swimming pool or dinner terras.

Review 17:Very charming hotel, excellent for families. Super friendly and warm personnel. Very good food for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Review 18:nothing, perfect hotel

Review 19:This is a lovely family-run hotel in the village of Tholaria, right above Aegiali Bay. We had a spacious room with a large terrace overlooking the bay. There is a free transfer from Aegiali port. The staff was super friendly, breakfast was great, the dishes for dinner superb. This hotel is definetely recommended for an authentic Greek holiday!

Review 20:A wonderful location, warm and friendly staff, great traditional food, the hotel is beautifully kept.

Review 21:All was perfect room hotel food people this is a great place to stay thank you so mutch to the vigla team

Review 22:very clean, good breakfast, very friendly staff, generally a nice hotel

Review 23:Small shower unit.

Review 24:Excellent hospitality and behaviour from the staff. They did their best to make our stay better. Great homemade breakfast and clean rooms. Excellent mountain and sea view.

Review 25:Like all more up market hotels the bar prices were a little high - a very minor point.

Review 26:Our first time to Amorgas, we'll be back! It's hard to imagine a better sited hotel on the island than the Vigla, we had room 12, the panoramic views from the balcony were fantastic. The owners and their staff were extremely good, friendly, efficient and my wife's elderly parents were looked after superbly when we went off walking, particularly by Alexander.Even before we arrived I was given help arranging car hire. Great little pool and bar for chilling. Good breakfast and food in general. The village of Thoralia is a great base for walking, also has some good rustic restaurants

Review 27:Tiny shower in an otherwise large bathroom. I'm not sure it was twice as nice as places we stayed in the islands that were half the price.

Review 28:Great staff and welcoming atmosphere. Within walking distance of a beautiful small village.

Review 29:Could not get wifi in room and the shower was really small! There wasno way you could use it without the shower curtain wrapping aroundyou and getting water all over the floor. But these were only minorissues for us.

Review 30:Really nice Hotel with a great pool area, great views, helpful &friendly staff, good restaurant food with a great breakfast. Also greatlocal Tavernas just behind the hotel. Hotel is 25 km from port ofKatapola where ferry came in - 25 euros by taxis and 2.5 km from port ofAegeili. If staying for a few nights need to hire a car. Hotel organisedand had it dropped off at hotel - 30 euros a day with full insurance -Thomas car rentals were very good. A must to see is the monastery!

Review 31:Nothing to say!

Review 32:Very nice place, staff friendly. The view was wonderfull !

Review 33:Great place to stay if you're looking for friendly, quiet and relaxed atmosphere.
