Reviews for Saffron House
Review 1:Nothing
Review 2:A vey quiet bed and breakfast, nice room with everything you need. Good choice at breakfast I tried three different menu choices and I have to say I enjoyed every one of them. I only one member of staff but nothing was any trouble for him.
Review 3:Quite an old hotel that's had a minor facelift but things just covered up rather than quality changes.
Review 4:They've obviously made an effort to upgrade and modernise and provide a comfortable stay.
Review 5:Parking is difficult on a steep slope. The bedroom was very basic and in need of refurbishment. The electric shower had poor water pressure.
Review 6:Staff very welcoming. Breakfast was excellent. The dining room was very comfortable and attractive. Good location for the seafront and other amenities.
Review 7:The bath room was very small with a tiny sink and the shower didn't have much water pressure.
Review 8:The room was very clean and spacious with a massive bed. It felt very bright and cosy when the sun was shining in. The owner was very friendly. And we had the best breakfast of all three places we stayed during our trip. There was a wide selection and the quality was very good. The location is good. A few supermarkets around and only a few minutes walk to the sea front.
Review 9:There was nothing we didn't like.
Review 10:The breakfast selection is excellent and delicious. The room was cozy with everything we needed. It's within walking distance to the harbor.
Review 11:The location of Combe Martin offers a fairly limited choice of restaurants and so the prices of these restaurants is a little on the high side for what you get. However, I would advise anyone wanting a much wider choice to drive to Ilfracombe for their evening meal and then return to Combe Martin for a drink before retiring.
Review 12:David and Diane at The Saffron are delightful hosts. Nothing was ever too much trouble. Room was clean, tidy and comfortable. Food was SUPERB !! Lots of choice [either hot or cold] available for breakfast. Great value for money. All Round Good Choice and I would not hesitate in recommending Saffron House to anyone wanting to stay in the Combe Martin area

Review 53:Location a bit off the South West coast path
Review 54:Room was cold but asked for heating to be turned on and the land lady obliged, and so was happy. Land lady was also very helpful with suggesting places to eat
Review 55:It felt very cheap. The ensuite had an air of being from the 70s with horrible green walls, an electric shower and toilet that didn't flush easily. The bed was uncomfortable and the room smelled stale. Breakfast was nice but when checking in, the staff member who helped us was not particularly friendly or welcoming.
