Reviews for Bella Vista Apartments
Review 1:This hotel is in a wonderful location a few minutes walk from one of the best beaches in Corfu. It is run by a lovely family who are genuinely friendly and welcoming. The beds may not be as luxurious as those you'd find in a 5 star hotel, but I'd choose this hotel every time!
Review 2:Bedding could have been better. Need to be prepared to drive up steep hill to get to apts and prepared to walk up and down steep hill to beach
Review 3:Good location, friendly staff, outstanding view
Review 4:The beds are hard for old people like us!
Review 5:Lovely family-run hotel with a gorgeous view in a tucked-away location. We've visited three times and hope to come again.
Review 6:We were switched out of our room with a spectacular view and private balcony, into a room with an obstructed view and shared patio. The owner said the switch was due to a plumbing problem some weeks before, and that room type was not guaranteed. If the hotel had contacted us to let us know about the problem then we could have made arrangements elsewhere. Instead, we were negatively surprised of this when we got there. We came all the way from the USA to have spectacular views, not mediocre ones. The owner was apologetic, and offered us free breakfasts, but that didn't make up for lack of communication before we arrived.
Review 7:Expected a self catering appartment. Walk up to appartment very steep. No shower holder mount so had to hand hold showerhead. Island infested by wasps.
Review 8:View of the beach. Helpful friendly staff. Excellent restaurant and good value. Able to order exotic delicacies in advance for following day's evening meal.
Review 9:quite a walk into Pelekas however when we were there we found it too hot to walk anywhere so ate at the hotel restaurant each night.
Review 10:lovely staff. The transfer from the port and back to the airport was superb and value at 15 euro each way. The food was home cooked, quite a limited menu but very tasty indeed. we ate there every night.
Review 11:Very steep access roads, but that stunning view has to come at a price! A minor request to assist travellers like us, having a short stay. Would have liked a couple of items like detergent and sponge in kitchen.
Review 12:The views and the very good home cooked food were highlights. Warm and helpful welcome from Claudia. Big room on the terrace level.
Review 13:Small but very comfortable room with large balcony overlooking incredible views of the Sea and sunset. Chair-swing The owners are very friendly and helpful. The food was absolutely delicious and reasonably priced, prepared by the father-in-law. Access to beach is directly down the hill, good exercise climbing back up after a lazy beach day.
Review 14:Nothing to comment on Everything was so fine!
Review 15:The family - Claudia & Andreas and the parents of Andreas gave us a VERY nice welcome and we felt so good during our stay at the Bella Vista. Fantastic surroundings, beautiful sea view, nice studioappartment and the homemade food was just in top.Best food on the island :-) We can definitely recommend this place to others who want a nice, beautiful and quiet place to spend their holidays
Review 16:breakfast could be improved a bit with a wider sellection of fruit maybe.
Review 17:Klaudia and Andreas take care of the guests needs in a very friendly and professional manner. The restaurant is great, the home made food with fresh fish is excellent and it's the best dinner around, so really glad we were there.
Review 18:We were kindly met in the Kerkira Airport by the Apartments owner and quickly brought to the Apartments with every comfort (absolutely for free). Also we were offered with a return transfer to the Airport in the end of our stay (free as well). Not to mention the convenience of such a service, it helps you to save about 70 Euros on a double taxi trip from/to the Kerkira Airport. Early in the morning we were welcomed in the apartments restaurant and offered with a free breakfast. We spent four wonderful days in the apartments and really liked our stay. The room was quite spacious and equipped with all the necessary furniture. The kitchen was also large and handy for any cooking with its fridge, stove, kettle, table and kitchenware. The WC/shower was also very comfortable to use. As for the balcony, it let us enjoy unforgettable sunsets of Pelekas every evening! Everything was clean and in good condition. The owners of the Apartments as well as the staff were extremely friendly, hospitable and helpful during our stay. We were offered with a useful touristic information and they did all our favors. The Apartments are situated on a slope of a beautiful lush mountain bordering the beach line. It wasn’t difficult to go up from the beach to the Apartments. The beach is sandy and very comfortable for swimming and beach sports. Also there is another pretty beach – Kontogialos, which can be reached by a twenty-minutes walk. The neighbouring village of Pelekas is absolutely gorgeous and is a MUST for everyone. We enjoyed our stay in Bella Vista Apartments very much and would love to spend much more time in it again!

Review 29:Awesome views
Review 30:Great property great value for money amazing trip
Review 31:A bit long distance from village by walking, but kindly owner drives for us, thank you.
Review 32:Enjoy beer at balcony, enjoy sea view, enjoy perfect sunset
Review 33:Excellent view and friendly/helpful staff. The food in the restaurant was excellent and reasonably priced.
Review 34:Internet not the best.
Review 35:We stayed in other parts of Corfu, but the views from Bella Vista were the most spectacular by far. Claudia & family are lovely & very helpful. Can highly recommend their BBQ fish at their restaurant.
Review 36:Steep drive to get there, not really a big negative for us as it added to the adventure.
Review 37:Great views. Really friendly and helpful staff. Nice food. Comfortable room.
Review 38:Owner was very helpful particularly when printing our boarding passes. Evening meal was very pleasant and the whole stay was problem free and enjoyable.
Review 39:Though it is absolutely no problem for experienced drivers, someone might find it difficult to drive up the lane to Bella Vista and to park.
Review 40:It is the most familyhouse-like hotel we've ever stayed in. Claudia is the most amazing person - always smiling, welcoming and ready to help! Restaurant is always full of delicious smells. Apartments are furnished functionally, all the balconies face fantastic sea view with sunset. We found kid's corner VERY helpful. A really wonderful sandy beach is just 5-7 minutes walk.
Review 41:We have been going to BellaVista since 2007 the family are so welcoming you arrive as strangers and leave as family. The area is beautiful and we intend to keep going back for many years to come .
Review 42:The only downside is the huge cliff to climb up to the village! I would recommend hiring a car if you wish to explore, although there is everything you need at Pelekas beach.
Review 43:We had a fantastic stay a Bella Vista! The setting and view is stunning, whether in the bar or sat on the terrace outside the apartment enjoying the sunset. I've never felt so welcomed, Helena is a wonderful host. She helped us with car hire and was always on hand with helpful advice about the local area. The apartment was well kitted out to cook but the restaurant food was also fantastic, along with the local wine! I would highly recommend Bella Vista and Pelekas if you're looking a beautiful unspoilt location, with not too many tourists.
Review 44:Very steep roads to the beach and the village. Room furniture was basic. Wireless internet available only in the bar.
Review 45:Really spectacular view of the sea.Very frienly and helpful staff. Delicious local cuisine at reasonable prices.Although public transport to the village and Corfu town was not available they readily bought us there for free.
Review 46:hills are very steep so transport is essential to explore beyond the beach
Review 47:Claudia and her family were welcoming, friendly and very helpful. the food was very good too and comparable to the restaurants in the local area
Review 48:Anyone with mobility difficulties should think carefully before booking to stay at Bella Vista as it is not easily accessible. We hired a car which made things easier, however, there are some tricky roads so I'd only recommend this if you are a fairly confident driver.
Review 49:We were made to feel like a member of the family; nothing was too much trouble for our hosts and we really did leave feeling as though we had made some new and valued friends. The views from Bella Vista are truly breathtaking and the home-cooked traditional food is delicious. We will definitely be returning!
Review 50:We had such a fantastic and relaxing time at Bella Vista! From our pick up at the airport to dropping us back at the end of our holiday nothing was too much trouble for Claudia and her family. The view from our room and the restaurant was ideal and the beach was just a short walk down the hill (slightly longer walk up!) We had dinner every night at the restaurant and greatly enjoyed the home cooked food which was fresh, tasty and good value. We had a studio on the ground floor which was simple, but clean and had all the basics you need. There is a supermarket about a 10 minute walk away. If you want to see Corfu get a car and make this your base, but it is equally great, if like us, you just want to relax and not really go anywhere. We would go again in a heartbeat!
Review 51:I forgot my driving licencse and due to the hillside location this restricted us somewhat, however, we wanted a relaxing beach holiday so this didn't really bother us much.
Review 52:Warm Friendly atmosphere, layed back and extremely relaxing. Food was great with a good choice and reasonably priced. Airport pick-up and drop off was a nice touch. Room was adequate, all amenities with no frills with a beatiful view from the balcony. Fantastic sunsets. This family ran hotel definitely has the most friendly hosts we have experienced on our travels. Strongly recommended.
Review 53:Long way down to the hotel from the actual village of Pelekas.
Review 54:The room and view were lovely. The staff were helpful and collected us and return us next day to the village of Pelekas.
Review 55:The sand beach, view from the hotel balcony (if you have a choice and want a wider sea view, better stay in the room 8 then 7). Sophia was kind in giving us info about attractions around, also tracking. She also was kind in helping as with needle and thread.Comfortable bed, cleanliness, hot shower, possibility to prepare your own food. I would suggest this hotel to those who like spending time on the beach or like mountainous walkings. Otherwise you have to rent a car or scooter to go and see places around. There is a special place beside hotel restaurant to play for children and also stunning sea view room for newlyweds. The hotel offers picking up and taking off to airport, but ask for this option few days erlier that they could arrange it. Thanks to them they could take us to bus stand.
