Reviews for Greyhound Country Inn
Review 1:Accommodation reception would be better placed near door from car park or signs clearly indicating where it is located.
Review 2:Owners & staff did everything to make us feel welcome & accomodate anything we needed. Food at dinner was really outstanding - quite unexpected a real "hidden gem". Breakfast was quite simply one of the best I have enjoyed.
Review 3:Lovely and clean accommodation, the room was nicely decorated, bed really comfortable lots of tea and coffee in the room , modern ensuite a great place to stay as was 5 mins from Honiton the pub also has a wood burner to warm up those cold winter night A+++
Review 4:Would have been nice not to have been out of room by 10am, 10-30 would have been much better and it was made plain that there was no leeway, because of this we had to rush breakfast
Review 5:Room was very good, and bed comfy, food was excellent and staff helpfull and polite, we were not rushed at evening meal even though they were busy, and breakfast was good.
Review 6:Although well presented, room was very small for a double, with no space to put a suitcase except on the floor alongside the bed. In view of this, price is a bit high.
Review 7:Thatched building very quaint, and interiors of bars/restaurant very atmospheric. Staff very friendly and breakfast was great. Room recently refurbished to a high standard. Good site for a stopover en route to Cornwall.
Review 8:The mattresses on the beds were incredibly soft. . so much so that you just sank into them. It was fine for my daughter and me, but not for my husband who needs a more firm mattress.
Review 9:The food was fantastic, the staff were great. The overall experience was very good.
Review 10:no food or drink available after a 6hour journey and we had to use the fire escape and round by the bins to go in/out at night, very dark and dismal, felt very rushed at meal times, asked to leave the bar at 11.00 prompt, we returned to our room at 4.00pm to freshen up before tea and it still hadnt been cleaned we had to wait in the bar, not very welcoming
Review 11:Booked a superior room with en Suite & four poster bed which sounds amazing. It wasn't, room was very tired & in desperate need of a refurb. I did not feel it warranted the price tag. We stayed 2 nights. Went out all day expecting the room to have been done, towels etc but it hadn't. The housekeeper knocked on the door at 4. 30-5pm asking if we needed anything.
Review 12:Pretty building & friendly staff.
Review 13:Breakfast could have been better. No fresh fruit, porridge or yoghurt.
