Reviews for Hôtel La Suite
Review 1:Lovely street in beautiful town. Quiet, yet near everything. Although we had a car, we took the bus to the festival in Avignon every day. It is very close, convenient and dependable.
Review 2:Wifi was variable, but that is the area and not the hotel, from speaking to the owner. Breakfast, which is normal in every hotel, lets be honest, was over priced. Pop outside and get it elsewhere. But none of the above should be viewed as a reason not to stay here - great hotel.
Review 3:Everything. The location in a small town just outside of Avignon is lovely. Great restaurants and bars near by. The hotel is small and perfectly formed. Very quirky decor, but fun. Owner and staff were great, really friendly and helpful. Stay you honestly will not regret it
Review 4:You get used to the funky art work predominating. No big deal...
Review 5:The owners, Steve and Sophie, could not have been nicer. They helped with our luggage, parking, giving suggestions for visiting the nearby sights, and even sharing a glass of wine in the evening at their little bar. Staying in Villeneuve-les-Avignon was so more convenient than its 'big sister' across the river, especially if you have a car, as parking is next to impossible in Avignon. The convenient bus takes 7 minutes and drops you off right by the entrance to the old town. Villaneuve has great attractions (and the BEST patisserie) in its own right. The hotel has some charming rooms, all with modern, spacious bathrooms. The courtyard and pool are very well done and private, near the much appreciated free parking. Also a surprising number of good, affordable restaurants in town. We loved La Suite in Villeneuve!
Review 6:Can't think of anything
Review 7:Just about everything. The rooms were amazing all individual and lovely touches to detail. Nothing was too much trouble for the owners who were all exceptionally friendly. If in the area again would definitely go back
Review 8:This charming hotel had everything we were looking for. Large room with design elements. Seperate shower and bathroom. Very clean. Owners were very kind and helpfull to book good restaurants, order taxi and gave us lot of tips. Perfect breakfast. Good parking facilities and swimming pool in the garden. Villeneuve is a quite little town with much restaurants and in a couple of minutes you are with taxi or bus in Avignon. Nice hotel and nice people.
Review 9:Conveniently located to both Avignon & driving to local sites. Avignon is a bit of a walk, but there is a bus that stops nearby. Steve was helpful with restaurant recommendations and sites to see. Nearby village square is a nice place to have coffee & croissants.
Review 10:This is an exceptional small hotel located in the old town. The rooms, hotel & the garden have an amazing design and truly allow you to relax. The parking facilities are also very good. Breakfast is extra paid, but worth every euro, especially if you can take it in the garden. Definitely will return for more nights!
Review 11:Our stay here was just perfect. Welcoming and very helpful owners. Great location for exploring Avignon (approx 40 minute walk). Would highly recommend staying here.
Review 12:Nothing all wonderful
Review 13:The position and the helpful staff
Review 14:Excellent Hosts
Review 15:Everything was perfect for us. Very warm & helpful welcome
Review 16:Hotel itself, room & location in Villeneuve. A perfect stay, thank you.
Review 17:Beautiful inn. The inn keeper was so nice and helpful. The bed was great. And to me a hotel is mostly about the bed. also a cute town.
Review 18:Rather expensive
Review 19:Great room
Review 20:Nothing.
Review 21:Very pleasant small hotel in a nice small town with plenty of restaurants and bars nearby. Very helpful pleasant staff/owners.
Review 22:People who owned the place and how helpful and pleasant they were.
Review 23:The family that runs this hotel are so charming and gracious. Love this hotel!
Review 24:A wonderfully eclectic mix of styles at this family-run hotel, conveniently located just a few minutes from the centre of Avignon. Stylish, comfortable, homey - we would definitely recommend it and return to it if we come to the area again. Just be sure to arrive early as there is no reception at night.
Review 25:A shame they only cater at breakfast
Review 26:A well thought out boutique hotel in a lovely part of Avignon. Very clean and well presented with good sized rooms and bathrooms.
Review 27:WiFi in our room was patchy but worked well in other parts of the hotel.
Review 28:Delightful, friendly, well appointed and located hotel in a beautiful area. Quirky and quaint establishment of the highest standard. We were very pleased that we stayed there and highly recommend.
Review 29:Nothing - it was perfect!
Review 30:Having read lots of reviews before we booked we were hoping this hotel would live up to them - but to say it surpassed our expectations would be an understatement. The hotel manages to retain the charms of a traditional french cottage with a modern and homely feel. The rooms are furnished stylishly with spacious and well designed bathrooms. The hotel is situated in a great location - in the centre of the quaint town of Villeneuve and near to a number of nice restaurants. It's just a ten minute bus ride to Avignon, the coast is an hour's drive away and there are lots of local attractions within a 30 minute drive. There's also plenty of secure parking on site. However, the thing that makes this hotel really special is the owners. From the minute we arrived Sophie and Steve did their utmost to make out holiday a relaxing one - they gave us lots of information about local attractions (telling us where to visit when and how to get there), advised us on which restaurants to try and even made bookings for us. They were so accommodating it really felt like we were guests in their own home. If you're looking for a hotel in this area then look no further - this really is the perfect find!
Review 31:The breakfast is quite heavy, cheese, ham, croissants etc. After a few days it would be nice to have a lighter option. However this is only a very minor criticism and it was delicious!
Review 32:Stunning hotel, each room has been individually designed to a very high standard. Very friendly owner's and staff. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
Review 33:Get instructions from the owner before you come because it was hard to find.
Review 34:Very nice and clean rooms, beautiful and modern. The owner is very friendly and helpful. Good location, quite and nice .yard. Good breakfast
Review 35:We really liked the styling of the hotel, which was done with lots of attention. A warm welcome and personal treatment, private parking, nice pool and beautiful garden. Extra services like restaurant recommendations and reservations were made for the guests and the personal attention of the staff was honest. A really nice, calme situated hotel, perfectly located to discover this beautiful region!
Review 36:Too many signs about rules/regulations - no picnics by pool, no guests, no eating in rooms etc etc
Review 37:Lovely rooms and environment. Peaceful but very close to all the shops and restaurants. Convenient for Avignon but without the hustle and bustle.
Review 38:The rude and aggressive behaviour of the owner because I was notsatisfied to pay 255 euros for a large room called suite b on theground floor ,directly on the street. You had to keep the shuttersbecause everybody on the steet could look inside the room.I Complainedthat it was not mentioned in the description and that the price was toohigh for a room with no natural light. It felt more like a prison than anice suite.6
Review 39:Difficult to find (close to impossible in our case - had to ask the Police eventually) particularly for foreigners, easily solved by telling guests that it IS difficult (& give them a detailed map!)
Review 40:The madness of it - it's a sort of "Do-It-Yourself-Mal-Maison" in the heart of a Medieval town... Well located close to Avignon (& the TGV station & airport). Difficult to find (a "+" as well as a "-" as most of the other hotels were full!)
Review 41:A bit narrow double-bed (in comparison to my own at home :-)
Review 42:Very friendly owners, wonderful design of the room and the whole hotel, silence at night. "Small city in Provence" feeling and in the same time very close to Avignon and more beautiful locations in Provence. Generally a very comfortable place.
Review 43:no complaints at all.
Review 44:Greeted nicely upon arrival and given thorough brief of facilities, shown to room, booked an additional night and no problem, rooms very well appointed and old building cleverly renovated, nice breakfast albeit only continental but nice, free secure parking a plus, highly recommended for the location in a beautiful area.
Review 45:We really liked the space and style of decor. The hotel was immaculately clean, comfortable and pretty. The proprietors were charming and looked after us really well.
Review 46:no wifi in the room
Review 47:Small, discreet hotel, friendly staff
Review 48:Nothing
Review 49:Well located, beautifully kept, pleasant welcome and very comfortable bed
Review 50:Great staff. Very nicely decorated and stylish room. Located in a lovely and peaceful small town. Would highly recommend.
Review 51:Quirky design Cleanliness Friendliness of owners Location
Review 52:Independence. Small intimate size. Lovely art and interesting decoration. Well appointed room and very helpful and hard working owners
Review 53:A little on the pricey side, but definitely worth it.
Review 54:Decor, owners and location all perfect.
