Reviews for Les Jardins De La Livrée
Review 1:The place needs to buy a $50 WiFi booster, so WiFi would be accessible from the room, instead of having to stand out in the hall or garden to use it. Need some throw rugs on cold floor in room. Could use some new, larger towels, also.
Review 2:Staff friendly, location great in left bank Avignon. Has free enclosed parking, which is very convenient.
Review 3:Please update the beds, we have stayed at many hotels and most now have king size beds. This bed was very hard and we only had one pillow. The other thing I would do is update the television channels we only had 2 french channels and they were not even news.
Review 4:The location is lovely and the swimming pool fantastic.
Review 5:The bnb is a fantastic provincial countryhouse which is surrounded by beautiful gardens. The rooms are great with recently renovated bathrooms although unfortunately the free wifi did not reach our room. The pool area is lovely and the location is right in the middle of Villeneuve with lots of bakeries, restaurants and cafes nearby.
Review 6:Be aware of the tight turn into the property when you first arrive. Jean-Paul was there to guide us in which was needed!
Review 7:The location is stunning - step out into history. The property is a delightful oasis with attractive gardens, pool and terrace. The rooms have all the usual features and beautifully clean. What I liked was the hospitality from Jean-Paul who provided a wealth of knowledge and advise on what to visit as well as translations when needed.
Review 8:Wifi was good but didn't reach our room so we had to serve at breakfast, so not really a problem.
Review 9:The own was very helpful, provided a discount card for the Pont du Garde. Breakfast was lovely (croissants, bread and jams with fresh fruit). Some cheese or ham would have been nice some days.
Review 10:It would have been nice to have a little more variety at breakfast.
Review 11:The pool, the garden and terrace The host Jean-Paul was very welcoming The room - clean and simple Provençal decor The bathroom- modern with great shower Breakfast on the terrace under the vines
Review 12:Nothing!
Review 13:Friendly English speaking host Superb location Free parking Clean and spacious room with renovated bathroom Pool and garden with terrace In house restaurant
Review 14:Jean Paul was an excellent host - very friendly and helpful. The garden and pool is such a nice spot to relax. The property is located within close walking distance to local restaurants. The restaurant at this property is fabulous...the best meal we ate in the 10 days we had in Southern France. Yum breakfast included in our rate. Restaurant staff lovely too. Had two cats and Easy The Westie dog very cute!! Highly reccomend.
Review 15:The room was spacious, the pool and garden exceptional, the breakfast a relaxing experience and Jean-Paul a very congenial host. We even had free car parking onsite. Beautiful town with fortifications within a ten minute walk. Onsite restaurant.
Review 16:Only that the free wifi did not reach the guest rooms, but was excellent everywhere else.
Review 17:The relaxed atmosphere, a nice terrace and pool for guests only, and a fine restaurant in the evening.
Review 18:We liked the inn very much.
Review 19:The location in Villeneuve d"Amboise lets you enjoy a small town that was home to the cardinals (hence the name livree). The rooms are very clean and roomy enough for our big bags of luggage. Our room looked out on the garden/pool/and ancient walls. Parking is a bit tight but they help you get in. You can come and go as you please as they provide a gate opener. The staff was very friendly. The restaurant attached is very good and the chef happily explains the menu for those with limited French. We also walked to nearby restaurants all with great food and great value. It was easy to get into Avignon and surrounding sites.
Review 20:Excellent location in a typical small village just outside Avignon (35 mins walk or 10 minutes by bus). The hotel has a very good restaurant and there are other good restaurants in the village. Villeneuve has its own historical attractions ( Abbey and Fort) plus a large Thursday market. Peaceful location to return to every evening. Very friendly and helpful owner. Quiet walled garden with a swimming pool. Small personal hotel with comfortable high quality accommodation.
Review 21:We were there for 5 nights & each day the breakfast was the same, coffee, fruit juice, bread & croissant. The towels needed changing more often.
Review 22:Location in the town, free parking on site. Quiet & private. Any excellent base for visiting the surrounding area.
Review 23:Neither tv no wifi seemed to work in the room. Very average breakfast Difficult to check in when closed as on Mondays. Not possible to get into hotel at all.
Review 24:Location . Easy bus ride or longish walk to Avignon. Private parking (but a tight fit for larger cars !). Lots to do in the village itself and plenty of restaurant choice. Nice pool area.Good welcome when we did raise someone and help with bags was appreciated.
Review 25:Nothing whatsoever!
Review 26:This was a very tastefully converted farmstead in the middle of a very historic town, steeped in medieval history. The room had a delightful view and our host was both welcoming and good company. Superb breakfasts and excellent real quality dinners. Swimming pool was large and spotlessly clean. A true bijou hostelrie. We could not have asked for more. We will return again and again.
Review 27:the belonging restaurant is on the terras and indoor and owned by the brother. The cook is the hotelowners brother and the service is done by the brothers wife. She has no patient and a smile hurts it seems. The cook should use fresh ingedients, not from conserves. Cooking was poor and definetly not in balance with the price. We advise to look for other restaurants, such as Aubergine or Moulin de lhuile. Both around the corner. They served excellent.
Review 28:he has patient for non-french speeking tourists. He has very usefull tips for visits. very cosy accomodation with pool, very relaxing garden, terras and seat corner. Quiet, enough room. Sometimes home grape-jus! Very correct and funny man whomws presents is almost not notable. He serves the very tasty french breakfast.
Review 29:Nothing
Review 30:Good size comfortable rooms with nice modern bathroom. Restaurant was fabulous - had dinner first night. Excellent service & very good food.
Review 31:We received an incredibly friendly welcome and the hotel went out of its way to help us park the car etc. We were advised by a local to eat in the hotel, advice we took and we had a superb dinner on both the evenings we stayed. We would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone - indeed we would encourage people to stay here even if they wanted to stay in Avignon as imagine it would be much preferable to staying in Avignon itself. The family running the hotel could not have been more kind or helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Review 32:Absolutely nothing! It was perfect for our stay.
Review 33:The owners are very accommodating and helped us in everyway possible! The meals we enjoyed were most delicious and the property is quiet and vey relaxing...also close to everything Avignon has to offer.
Review 34:We loved the village of Villeneuve and spent many hours walking around and exploring nearby points of interest. The outdoor market was fun. The hotel owners were helpful, as were the staff at the visitor centre. Food at the hotel was excellent and we found many other nice restaurants to visit as well.
Review 35:Wifi drops in and out every so often. But still fast and efficient.
Review 36:Beautiful place. Great breakfast. Great rooms and facilities. Easy walk to anywhere. Staff are kind. Pool is superb.
Review 37:Absolutely no complaints at all.
Review 38:This was perfection. The most gorgeous setting with garden and pool. After 2 months if travelling, this has been our favourite place and would have happily stayed on for weeks! Hosts were so kind and generous. Full breakfast each morning, ready for a days exploring and swimming in the pool. We walked to the main centre in 30min each day with scenic views along the way. Although it may be slightly more pricey it is 100% worth it.
Review 39:Great location to enjoy French village life.
Review 40:Nice quite area with swimming pool. Fantastic restaurant for lunch and dinner.

Review 49:Could have been more choice for breakfast.
Review 50:Loved the swimming pool and breakfast area. Host was very helpful. Wifi was brilliant.
Review 51:There is a swimming pool!
Review 52:This is a truly idyllic haven. Definitely a great base for anywhere around Avignon. Jean-Paul is a wonderful host and very helpful. Their restaurant is excellent too. We stayed for a week and it was fantastic.
Review 53:This place was lovely in all aspects. Great room for the three of us and lovely garden with pool. Very friendly and helpful owner and staff. Recommend a visit here as its well worth a few more miles out of Avignon for a great place to call home.
Review 54:Nothing -we would unhesitantly recommend this hotel.
Review 55:RProximity to both interesting sides of the river. Our host's invaluable help in planning our time and his great interest in our comfort. The cats. The garden. The restaurant.
Review 56:I am reluctant to give this place the full praise it deserves for fear that it will become too crowded. It is however a gem among b & b's; its quiet but convenient location, beautiful garden with roses on ancient walls around the pool, delicious food, friendly service and reasonable charges.
Review 57:Breakfast was good. If there were some vegitable and ham,it would be better.
Review 58:The owner was very kind. Our room was refurbished one,it was clean. The restaurant which owner recommended was really good.
Review 59:We found the proprieter very helpful and friendly. It was too late in the year to try out the pool, but we did have a sunbathe at the side of the pool and found it very pleasent and secluded. We enjoyed our stay, thank you.
Review 60:No tea/coffee facilities in the room.
Review 61:Nice room,. Lovely walk in shower. Nice breakfast, although a bit of variety would be nice. 10 minute bus ride to main town.
Review 62:the hotel is small with very friendly staff, a lovely garden to relax in and very close to some wonderful restaurants. The area is very interesting with lots to do and yet quiet enough to relax. The food market and the antique markets are well worth seeing. The hotel is only 5 minutes walk to the bus which takes you to Avignon. Staff are friendly and very helpful . Highly recommend the hotel
Review 63:We thought there could have been a greater choice of breakfast foods - the only fruit served was grapes and this was the same each morning with breads and croissant.
Review 64:The location is fantastic and the rooms look up to the ancient fort. Easy to walk around the village, plenty of good restaurants and a Laundromat across the road. Lovely modern bathroom and plenty of areas to sit around the property.
Review 65:Initially hard to locate
Review 66:Room basic but bathroom well renovated; booked triple for space but owner reduced price when he saw there were only two of us; parking really only suited to small vehicles; coin laundry literally 50 metres away; helpful owner, good restaurant on site and others nearby
Review 67:This was such a beautiful place to stay. Our rooms overlooked the garden, and you really felt like you had stepped back in time. Very close to shops and cafes, as well as great walks. Our host and hostess were so helpful and really went out of their way to look after us. 10 out of 10.
Review 68:Service at dinner was a little slow, and madame was a little grumpy
Review 69:Good location with parking, a plus in this town. No need to stay in Avignon, much quieter in Villeneuve. Easy to transfer by local bus. Lovely pool, and recently refurbished rooms
Review 70:Didn't eat at the restaurant as it is expensive although those that did said food was good.
Review 71:Nice village locality. Enjoyable garden and swimming pool. Easy access to the old city centre. The area felt very safe and lots of good eating and drinking places nearby.
Review 72:This was a nice place, close to the main part of town and close to all touristy sites. On arrival Jean Paul was extremely helpful in getting us settled and making sure we knew all about our accommodation and informing us about the Breakfast and other meals on offer. The surroundings were nice with lovely gardens. The off street parking was a bonus. Would really recommend this accommodation to anyone wanting to stay in Villeneuve les Avignon.
Review 73:Wished we had a kettle in our room, but Jean-Paul was more than happy to fill our thermos each morning.
Review 74:The view from our room was across a rose-covered high stone wall to the fort. The ambience of the garden was blissful and the village shops and cafes only a brief walk around the corner. A delicious breakfast was included as was much helpful advice on the myriad ways to explore the area.
Review 75:The Hotel is family run and is very friendly and the situation is perfect. The rooms are very clean and have French windows which look out over the garden. The Hotel also has a restaurant that serves local specialities.A very relaxing stay
Review 76:The owners were very helpful, kind and friendly, and also spoke a useful amount of English. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom brand new, the location quiet when we stayed. It was well worth staying here so as to see Villeneuve Les Avignons, but also be within walking distance of Avignon.
Review 77:Nothing.
Review 78:Location room and gardens were all fabulous. Parking a bonus and the breakfast delicious.
Review 79:The owners were very helpful and cheerful. They love what they do. It was great to be outside the traffic and noise of Avignon. Highly recommend.
Review 80:A. Wifi connexion b. Payment only cash
Review 81:Apart from the bad wifi connexion and cash payment , the hotel is very good value for its price.
Review 82:Friendliness of host, suggesting places to visit, things to do in the area and outside of the local area.
Review 83:Lovely hotel, small and friendly. Rooms good and added bonus was a swimming pool. We loved our stay here and would certainly like to return.
