Review 1：Booked extremely late in an emergency, helpful and pleasant staff looked after me very well indeed. Pleasant, spotlessly clean accommodation in the superior B&B / family hotel category.

Review 5：Unfortunately I arrived quite late in the evening to properly sample too much of the hotel. Nonetheless I had a friendly welcome, enjoyed an excellent evening meal and had a hearty breakfast before leaving. All the staff and the owners could not have been more helpful or friendlier. My room was also excellent value for what I paid. Having experienced the lovely 20 minutes or so drive through the Quantocks on leaving the hotel to get to Taunton, I'll definitely use this hotel again when in the area.

Review 7：The lovely welcome we received, the setting of the hotel, the excellent service and the very good food. Excellent quality of ingredients, cooked well. The purpose if our visit was a family get- together to celebrate a special birthday, and it proved to be a perfect choice of venue.

Review 21：Room rather small and only 4'6" bed. Bathroom compact and shower small but at least it had a window which is often not the case. In hot weather it might be difficult to sleep with windows open due to traffic noise as our room overlooked the very close A39.

Review 22：Very friendly staff and owners. Pleasant grassy grounds. Plenty of parking space. Convenient location - although right on the A39 the double glazing was effective so traffic noise was not a problem. Would stay again but would ask for a room not overlooking the road.

Excellent starter of Crab in batter, and the main course of Pork Tenderloin in a Cyder Sauce made it one of the best hotel meals I've experienced in being away on business (120nights + a year). I can't wait to go back, as there were so many other good choices on the menu. The Landlord (who also cheffed) very friendly (suffered from me talking on and on as he was so pleasant) and the place was welcoming.
