Reviews for Marianfa
Review 1:On road parking a bit difficult. Breakfast time was a bit late for me since it was business. I thought the either/or options for cereal and fruit and the way in which they are both portioned out was odd. The bacon was soggy I guess from being kept warm in the oven. I would rate the breakfast as average.
Review 2:Good for the money. Room spotlessly clean and seemed recently refurbished - new carpets etc. Bed comfy.
Review 3:Advertises parking but this is pot luck (no dedicated spots). Room very small and bed very uncomfortable and creaky. Room very small. Over priced for facilities compared to other hotels and b and bs
Review 4:If you like caernarfon you can walk to town in 10 min. Breakfast is good.
Review 5:The room was very clean and pleasant and the full English breakfast was enjoyable. Unfortunately there was no yoghurt and, we think, only tinned fruit (the food was not on display). Jeff and June were very helpful and friendly hosts and the house was quite handy for the castle and town centre.
Review 6:No b ad experiences at all. Victorian
Review 7:We were abe to park our car outside enven though it said no parkingavailable, and we left it there all the time for our stay it just suitedus. As we like to walk.
Review 8:My only slight critisism would be that the breakfast room was very quiet leading to what I call the "b and b breakfast whisper" just needs a little music or radio to take the edge off the silence.
Review 9:The position was perfect for a stroll into town but also good for a quiet nights sleep.. The staff are very friendly, with a warm welcome and local knowledge.
Review 10:My friends and I decided to challenge ourselves and climb Snowdon we found this guest house online and with it being within a 20 minute drive of snowdon we decided it was a perfect location. The staff were very friendly and couldn't do more for us. Our room was lovely with a fabulous sea view. We successfully made it up snowdon and walked into town for a celebratory bottle of Vino! The comfy beds we returned to were absolutely amazing! A fabulous stay for anyone occasion!
Review 11:Excellent staff, great breakfast and a generally happy place to be. All facilities were excellent and in working order. I could have stayed in this place another week.
Review 12:No complaints
Review 13:Everything except the weather! June was a wonderful host and the family room was perfect for a family of four.French doors and view of the Mena Straits and Anglesey.
Review 14:None, no complaints here.
Review 15:Location, welcome from Jeff and June, Secure parking for our motorcycles, the breakfast, The sea view from our bedroom. Jeff taking out soaking gloves to dry out.
Review 16:Didn't like that the washroom was carved out of the room. That reduced the room and made the washroom tiny. Also didn't like the toilet seat that was flying in every direction.
Review 17:Liked bed comfort and breakfast
Review 18:Unfortunately, the family room doesn't really cater for up to 4 people because the shower had no hot water after 2 people had used it.
Review 19:Very homely and lovely service.
Review 20:Noisy toilet system is the only thing I would mention but this would not stop me from staying again.
Review 21:Friendly owners, really lovely and hospitable. Very close to town centre, supermarket and snowdonia national park. Great breakfast each morning. Comfortable and clean. Value for money. There were four friends sharing a family room. Highly recommended.
Review 22:Nothing, all was good
Review 23:Walking distance to lovely town square which have excellent restaurants . Snowdon is only a few miles away too. Great room with beds for kids. Superb breakfast too, thanks J & J
Review 24:no bad experience, but we wish we stayed for longer than just one night!
Review 25:june and jeff were really friendly and welcoming, even though we arrived late at the B&B. the place was really clean and well kept, beds were so comfy. you could choose from a list what you want for breakfast and it was very yummy!
Review 26:£10a night charge for dog. I thought this a bit steep but if included in overall cost of two nights stay the cost of stay was good compared with other B and b in area who did not allow dogs.
Review 27:Quiet room at back of property as I am a light sleeper.
Review 28:Nothing to dislike really. The location was a bit hilly if like us you didn't have a car.
Review 29:The room was adequate, clean and comfortable although the bathroom was a bit small. June the owner was very friendly and helpful, even making us sandwiches because there wasn't time to have breakfast on the second morning.
Review 30:The host did not offer to help me with luggage. But the most shocking experience was the bedding, was not clean, could smell the previous sleeper's head smell on the pillowcase. Pubic hair in the bathroom and in the towel.
Review 31:The host was really friendly.
Review 32:I found in my room anyway that the shower and toilet was quite cramped.
Review 33:Good location for things I wanted to do. A comfortable bed and good breakfasts. Warm and welcoming hosts.
Review 34:Nothing really we thought it was very good value for money
Review 35:A lovely weekend despite the mountain railway being cancelled due to adverse weather conditions. We found everything we required for our stay .Nothing
Review 36:lovely friendly couple who had a wealth of local knowledge to share. Stayed here for the open day at Bangor University open day and it was about 10minutes away. lovely comfortable old fashioned room with comfy beds. A delicious hearty breakfast that set us up for the day
Review 37:The bed was a bit small for us as we are med to tall height. It was a double, instead of a queen size.
Review 38:The hosts were very friendly and attentive to our every need. The room was small but clean and quiet. Breakfast was excellent.
Review 39:Parking not guaranteed but not too far otherwise
Review 40:Very friendly welcome and a great family room. Well placed for Bangor Uni and will be using again. Great breakfast.
Review 41:We only stayed one night! Shame it wasn't longer!!
Review 42:Jeff and June were very welcoming and even though we were 2 hours later than originally arranged (M6 traffic) it was not a problem at all. 8pm checked in and everything was ready for us, very clean and spacious room with lovely powerful shower! Had a full English breakfast the following morning and it was an absolute delight, perfectly cooked and the sausages were amazing! We stay in a lot of b&b's traveling around the country with work and it makes such a change to get decent sausages with your breakfast, a pleasant surprise to say the least! We had a van at the time and parking out the front was very easy even at 8pm. Many thanks for a delightful stay. Keep up the good work.
Review 43:Cannot complain.
Review 44:Very homely yet professionally run. Both june and jeff take that extra care to make ur stay great.Enjoyed the amazing breakfast served to perfection with lots of personal touch.Thouroughly enjoyed the stay.
Review 45:En suite sanitation and extraction bit noisy while in use but expected as only way possible to create separate bathroom. Decor could be classed as dated, but why ruin the original features of an old building.
Review 46:Nice welcome, outside street parking, sea view, relaxed atmosphere, en suite, close to town, lovely breakfast, dog friendly, wonderful hosts!
Review 47:The owners was churlish with me about the fact that I was arriving later in the evening. The bed I slept in was lumpy with springs clearly felt. I slept very badly and woke up aching. I complained to the owner who told me that the mattress was being replaced the following day. He clearly knew the mattress was no good but still let the room out. The decor of the guesthouse was uninspiring with cheap furnishings. The breakfast room was cheerless in atmosphere.
Review 48:Everything was very clean. The breakfast lacked choice but was well cooked. There was no fresh fruit or yoghurt, just cereals or tinned fruit to start with. The owner did agree not to charge me for my stay because of the poor bed I slept in. I had to find another place for the second night I needed to spend in Caernarfon and the whole experience was disruptive.
Review 49:The only thing I can think is that the TV should be on the wall instead of being on the table. We found uncomfortable to watch it from the bed.
Review 50:It was very good overall. Clean, quiet and near the town centre, that turned out as a plus due to the very noisy pubs in the centre. The hosts were very friendly and helpful.
Review 51:would be nice if cereals, fruit juice etc were left out on side to help yourselves. the bathroom in room 4 small especially with toilet in there, not much room to move about.
Review 52:location, food, friendliness, parking
