Review 3:Saniflow kept switching on every 20mins during the night and I lost sleep before a very long drive to the next location. And the shower didn't work, nothing but cold water, great to wake you up after being kept awake
Review 4:Location and staff, breakfast was yummy
Review 5:I was a bit cold at night as the heater was off quite early. Low water pressure for the toilet.
Review 6:The owner was very kind to us, particularly with one of our friends having many dietary restrictions. Clean room with all the essentials and very nice breakfast, so many options!. Great location too!
Review 7:Finding a parking space nearby can be challenging. Breakfast service was a bit chaotic. Wifi connection wasn't great and there were issues with TV connection.
Review 8:Location is great and very close to the centre, castle, and restaurants. Rooms are nice and clean. Staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. Board games are available too.
Review 9:The owners were on holiday!
Review 10:Fabulous location in a beautiful town and within easy reach of Snowdon. Lovely guest house, everything you could need & want.
Review 11:Narrow stairs and multiple floors to haul luggage up and down. Small room and bathroom; dirty rug. Good luck with parking.
Review 12:Location very near the castle; excellent breakfast
Review 13:No parking available. Had to use public car parking nearby. Had to drive around for 10 mins until I found a space. Could be tricky if arriving at a busy time
Review 14:Very friendly owner, clean room and good location. Great choice for breakfast
Review 15:Be forewarned that there is no parking immediately outside. It is on a one-way street, there is nowhere immediately obvious to pull over in order to unload your car. Public parking is available on one of the adjacent streets, or (I am told) there is a pay & display car park nearby.
Review 16:Friendly, welcoming host. Great breakfast. Fantastic location within the old castle walls - this is by far the more atmospheric part of the town of Carnarvon. The host recommended a great watering hole where we could also eat - The Black Boy - we would second his opinion. The bed in our room was worryingly soft, but I have to say that we slept very well!
Review 17:Shower was difficult to figure out. There is a loud pump every time you use the bath, but it is a very old structure.
Review 18:Quaint and nostalgic, charming room with en suite bath. Flower boxes in windows, nicely prepared breakfast. Staff extremely helpful.
Review 19:A comfortable bed and an excellent breakfast. A friendly host and the guest house is situated in a historic and pleasant location, (just a short drive from M't Snowdon;) What more could you ask for?
Review 20:Nothing really
Review 21:This is a traditional British b and b of a kind it's become increasingly hard to find. It's incredibly central to this lovely town and the host is very welcoming. The breakfast is second to none.
Review 22:Steep and narrow staircase not suitable for everyone as some bedrooms on second floor.
Review 23:Super stay and breakfast in a lovely townhouse. Nearby parking and ideal location to walk to castle, dock and town.
Review 24:none.
Review 25:When I arrived, the land lady was not at home, however, she had left her number on a card. I just went for a sight see and came back and she was home. Great comfortable home - breakfast terrific. Central location within the old city walls, 1 street away from some great eateries as well. 2 small blocks away in one direction to the water and the other direction to the great castle. Good sized room, share bathroom large enough and clean. It always depends on the other guests, this bathroom was shared by 6 people - all worked out just fine. Great breakfast and some terrific tips for some sightseeing.
Review 26:I didn't like Caernarfon much. Parking is a nightmare and, one hour into my holiday, I got a parking ticket.
Review 27:We loved staying at Cartref and Mary's personal approach made all the difference to our stay.
Review 28:Stayed in room 1 and had to sit on the landing in order to connect to wifi but that didn't spoil our stay.
Review 29:everything. Comfortable room, excellent breakfast and location within the old castle walls
Review 30:Used public transport which is so easy to reach anywhere in N.Wales.Mary was the best host and the single room had everything you needed for a comfortable stay.
Review 31:No wifi could be a problem if I were traveling for business and could have a bit warmer water. But very nice none the less.
Review 32:The owner and the cleanliness of my room.
Review 33:Nothing bad to say.
Review 34:Poached eggs (and the rest of the breakfast on offer) - superb Coffee - lovely Friendliness - in abundance Extremely comfortable room.
Review 35:We stayed in this B&B last year, they were so welcoming, with very comfortable beds and excellent breakfast that we returned again this year. Just as good, we will go back again.
Review 36:Our review of any experience is, "Would we come back?" Yes, for sure. A bit tricky to find within the walls of Caernarfon and one way streets, but a great value for the price. Extra touches above the usual B&B's.
Review 37:It was raining when I left!
Review 38:Fantastic range of breakfast choice although my tastes are simple. I settled for just bacon & egg, which were cooked very nicely. Main things for me though were quiet place in convenient location with courteous, friendly, efficient service. Picturesque setting within historic defensive walls was a bonus.
Review 39:Apart from the parking, the guesthouse is in an excellent location within the town walls and close to the castle. Close to nice pubs and restaurants. Very clean and friendly with excellent facilities and generous provision of tea/coffee/milk. Breakfast was included and was also excellent.
Review 40:I had an amazing time at Cartref. They are in easy reach of buses, grocery stores, restaurants and the castle! Mary was wonderful - incredibly sweet and helpful. I could not have asked for more!
Review 41:Friendliness of staff, excellent breakfast. The room was advertised as small and the wife and I really enjoyed the opportunity to stay in a room of this size and to imagine that this was how people lived 300 years ago.

Review 54:Location was ideal. Breakfast was marvelous. The owner was wonderful - researching opening times, suggesting attractions. We would definitely return!
Review 55:Came back from a long walk up Snowdonia - the hot water could have been a bit hotter for my bath - but everything else excellent
Review 56:I was made to feel welcome as soon as I walked through the door . Lovely breakfast and a free upgrade . Mary was a lovely host and nothing was too much trouble .
Review 57:The room was comfortable (perfect bed), nice and warm, I was not freezing like in some UK guesthouses/hotels who are not very generous with the heating. The breakfast was delicious and beside all, our host make us feel like home.
Review 58:Hot tap on basin in my room never produced any hot water. Also, shower seemed a little temperamental.

Review 71:Cartref is a clean and tidy B&B. The owner is friendly and helpful and serves a very good breakfast. The property has an excellent location, lying within the town walls, close to both the castle and the town centre. There is free parking close by.
Review 72:No complaints at all!
Review 73:Mary, the proprietor, and Linda her helper were very accommodating to my two lively grandsons aged 5 and 7. The breakfasts were superb, and it was so helpful to my daughter to have gluten free products available.
Review 74:A couple of minor quibbles - the toilet required a bit of skill to flush properly, and the mattress could have been a bit firmer (but that's only my opinion).
Review 75:Mary was an excellent and accommodating host, and even found time to do a couple of loads of washing for us. Breakfasts were delicious and filling!! The location is very central, and free parking was available at the nearby Yacht Club.
Review 76:Absolutely lovely and cozy guesthouse, fantastic breakfast (you can choose from a menu) cooked for you, kind and helpfull owner Mary (many thanks to her), nice location in the heart of old town. Fond of it. We've hade a shared bathroom room but no inconvineces cause there are bathrobes in room. So everything is very homelike. A mansarda room is very romantic.
