Reviews for Hotel Valtos Beach
Review 1:Fantastic breakfast and location. Owner went above and beyond anything we could have expected. The food was so good we didn't eat anywhere else, enjoyed it all so much will be staying again next year.
Review 2:The quality apartments, and the view from them, the relaxing and quiet areas around the hotel and pool at this time of year and of course Christos, his family and staff.
Review 3:None
Review 4:The hotel is in an excellent position virtually on the beach overlooking the bay. The owners and staff couldn't have been more helpful. I requested lower floor rooms due to the number of steps. When we arrived we were given a choice and decided to have the two bed roomed apartment instead of two separate rooms. The apartment gave us two seperate bedrooms, bathrooms and air conditioning and a huge balcony which had sun loungers and table and chairs, and a beautiful view! Greek night is well worth doing lots of food and dancing. Breakfast choice excellent hot/cold choices and eating at the hotel is very reasonable for lunch and evening meals and choice and quality is excellent. Getting into Parga is very easy either water taxis, or the hotel are happy to ring for a taxi both are 2 euros pp. The Olive Museum in Parga is well worth a visit and very reasonable. I would thoroughly recommend the hotel it is very much family run and has a lovely atmosphere and all the staff work very hard to ensure everyone enjoys their holiday.
Review 5:Built on a hillside, no lift, and stairs for access anywhere. Not recommended for people with disabilities. A long uphill walk to the centre of the town.
Review 6:Large double room with sea view. Quiet location. Staff helpful
Review 7:Parking is not exactly private. Reception was not 24hrs available.
Review 8:excellent location, outstanding brekfast (variety, freshness, etc), proximity to the seaside and the town of pargas. The staff was really helpful and the lady at the reception spent time to aclimatize us with the environment and the nearby locations.
Review 9:Pool far too small for so much accommodation. Right next to a busy road. However we did go in august at the busiest week.
Review 10:Accommodation was spacious and immaculate. Rooms were cleaned to a very high standard every day. Breakfast was fantastic. Restaurant area lovely and nice lication.
Review 11:The location was excellent, in walking distance from Parga, yet away from the crowd. The beach in front was also very good. The breakfast was amazing, with a huge variety, including pies, fruits, cheese, cold cuts, eggs, pastry, cerial! Will definitely go again!
Review 12:Clearly this is a very well run hotel with friendly staff and a nice atmosphere. The apartment was modern, clean and comfortable and with a great view, the food was good, and we would thoroughly recommend this hotel.
Review 13:only the wifi was slow, but we could live with it. In such a place you'd better to talk to each other, live up the experience and enjoy your stay, rather than poke the electronic stuff
Review 14:the clear, straight view from the balcony to the sea, the hospitality of the owners and entire staff, everybody was smiling and helpfull, tasty breakfast, the Greek night, the cleaning was top, the location, close to the beach(steps were not a problem at all for us), I recommend also the cuisine of the hotel.
Review 15:The family and staff at the Valtos beach hotel are absolutely lovely, from the minuite you arrive they take care of you, we felt very relaxed and safe
Review 16:Breakfast a little repetative although there was plenty of chioce
Review 17:The staff were very friendly and couldnt do enough for you, Hotel spotless, rooms very comfortable. BBQ evening a good night.
Review 18:Wireless internet a bit slow in the room, but not a major issue
Review 19:Perfect location close to the beach, very nice owners and staff, clean and spacious room with a huge terrace, amazing sea view, very good breakfast, great food at the restaurant, entertaining greek night with live music, great service overall....and so many more positive things. A great facility for a perfect stay. Totally recomended!
Review 20:I like everything in Valtos hotel. This is my lovely place that i want to stay forever. There is amazing and the time spend at this hotel is full of relax.I like every morning to start with this great sea view from the balcony of the room. Valtos hotel is the place that i want to come back every time when i can as soon as possible.
Review 21:The food was not the best and the breakfast not so rich in healthy food (fresh vegetables & fruits, different types of nuts, low fat cereals etc)
Review 22:Clean, real 4* conditions, friendly managers, amaizing wiew.
Review 23:We liked everything about our stay at Valtos. The staff were exceptional. We were given a wonderful two bedroomed apartment with glorious views. Food was very tasty.
Review 24:We were told we were upgraded when we arrived and our room was very nice, with a beautiful view. The facilities are nice and everything was kept clean. We ate at the restaurant one night and although a little overpriced, the food was decent. The baklava was delicious!
Review 25:No bad points.
Review 26:First trip to Parga and Valtos Beach Hotel, beautiful hotel set into the hill which gives sensational views, great rooms, wonderful staff, could not fault this place. A bit of a walk to Parga town but well worth the walk, or you can take a water taxi for a couple of euros. Don't miss Greek night, where they put on a BBQ with live Greek music and dancing, loved every minute of our stay here,
Review 27:Nothing to complain about.
Review 28:Everything was perfect. Staff is helpfull. Location is excelent. Breakfast is delicios! Worth to be their guest, you will feel special!
Review 29:Coming home and leaving this idyllic setting....! Actually whilst I loved it all, those with mobility issues of any kind would find this resort difficult to manage, not just this hotel but the area itself. It is pretty because of the views from the heights. Our apartment was up 68 steps which would be hard going for some people. there were rooms just up one flight of steps and they seemed to have lovely views too so bear this in mind when booking. Cleaners tend to swill all steps during breakfast time, so steps are wet during the busiest time when everyone is going down from their room to the restaurant. The good bits definitely outweigh any small niggles and staff carry your cases up and down if you ask. In fact staff put themselves out to be as helpful and friendly as possible.
Review 30:Overlooking the lovely Valtos beach this family run, authentic Greek hotel is the perfect place for a relaxing holiday. Location is excellent for the many watersports on the beach, a quiet day relaxing on a sunbed or a swim in the Ionian. The water taxi which goes around the headland to Parga town is a short stroll away. The view of the castle on the headland is clear and particularly pretty at night when it's floodlit. The hotel restaurant is on street level with views of the beach and next to the pool. Breakfast is very good.Set against a fairly steep hill, the buildings are on varying levels. Rooms are invariably facing the sea but those that don't will look out onto the established shrubs in the garden area. Our apartment had two bedrooms, one twin, one double. The kitchenette had a twin hob, microwave, coffee maker, kettle, fridge with small freezer compartment and a range of pots and pans. The beds and pillows were soft and comfy, a first in my experience of Greek hotels. Our balcony had table, chairs and sunbeds and had a wonderful sea view. Staff are lovely and so helpful
Review 31:Picture of room rented through booking.com didn't match reality, so a bit of a let down. Staff at the beach restaurant were a bit moody..... Didn't feel like going there even though the location was good. A lot of steps to get to the rooms, don't bring much luggage........ Fridge didn't work during day cause electricity was cut when key was removed from the room. Lack of good lightning in the apartment and especially in the bathroom.
Review 32:Good location, close to Valtos beach. Very good breakfast. Staff at the hotel talked a lot of different languages and were friendly and helpful. Lovely old owners who still contributed a lot running the place. Nice story behind the hotel. Clean rooms and hotel area. Quiet and nice and even with a rabbit living in the garden area. Well fed!
Review 33:Busy pool area, not enough sun loungers. Near busy road so can be busy at times. Hotel beach loungers at extra cost
Review 34:Location with great views. Very clean
Review 35:We stayed at Valtos Beach hotel 17th August for one week. We fully agree with all positive comments about the hotel. It is really a great place and we would definitely come back again!
Review 36:many steps to reach your room parking was not easy at all
Review 37:our room was superior and we found it very spacy and comfortable we tried many restaurants in parga but enjoyed the hotel food most beach was lovely but you need to pay for the sunbeds small family run hotel but very efficient management , staff friendly and very helpful greek night food was great but the music was too loud and lasted until late midnight using the boat- taxi to go to Parga centre was easy and fun!
Review 38:If you have difficulty walking up and down stairs, make sure to ask for a room at a lower level.
Review 39:Hotel was clean and room was spacious. Valtos beach is a good location if you don't want to be in the middle of town, which can get pretty crowded.
Review 40:Nothing
Review 41:Extra friendly staff, great views of the beach from our balcony. Beautiful decor throughout. The beach bar/restaurant had an amazing menu! We couldn't decide what to choose, the greek gyros pizza and the home made kleftiko were one of the best dishes we have had in Greece! The Mojito's were pretty good also. Great location so close to the beautiful beach- pool area was excellent also as was the yummy breakfast! Would recommend this hotel highly.
Review 42:Our room 166 was located at the top of the hotel and required alot of walking...about 100 steps from the bottom. This room had no wi-fi. When I told the owner Hristos he said the technician couldn't fix it, which meant that obviously this room could not have wi-fi and thus should have been told to us on check-in. He did offer to change the room for us...no thanks..we had already settled in with our family of four. The charge for the beach lounges was exorbitant considering we were patrons of hotel (EUR6 for pair) with no drink provided with the price. Our drinks were extra. In most places in Greece we only have to buy a drink (EUR2.50) and you get a sunlounger.
Review 43:Cleanliness of room and hotel overall. Nice big room which was on its own. Variety of breakfast buffet could have been a bit better. The owner did offer to assist me with our laundry which was greatly appreciated.
Review 44:Some might argue that the many steps one has to climb to get to the rooms is an inconvenience. I would say that the clever architecture preserving the trees and building the hotel around the trees, without cutting them down is a feat of engineering. LOVED it to bits!!!
Review 45:We loved everything about the resort! Large, beautifully-decorated modern rooms, wide range of choices for breakfast, modern facilities, nice swimming-pool with sunbeds for guests. The owners organise Greek and Italian nights every week which are delightful, with plenty of food to choose from for €15/person. Absolutely delicious. The Greek night opens with a traditional dance of the 2 Valtos brothers which is impressive as it shows how dedicated they are to provide not only high quality services but also the authentic Greek atmosphere. Lush!
Review 46:Steps. The hotel is on a hillside and would not be suitable for everyone.
Review 47:Nice hotel, lovely food. Pretty location almost on the beach.
Review 48:Many steps to climb to the room.
Review 49:Professional attitude of staff.
Review 50:Liked location, access to each, cleanliness, informative staff, and great restaurant.
Review 51:Stairs, stairs & more stairs! Not good for unfit or disabled persons.
Review 52:The Hosts, staff and access to beach.
Review 53:Ideal location just next to the Valtos beach.. not so convenient for babies since rooms are reachable only by stairs.. perfect hotel, value for money
Review 54:Wednesday, Greek night with live music and Greek traditional food and dance
Review 55:The staff was very friendly. Junior apartman has spectacular view with large balcony.
Review 56:Good facilities, friendly personnel, good value for money. Highly recommended
Review 57:The waiter who served in the evening at restaurant,It was not helpful. Poor Wi-Fi in the room.
Review 58:Location, garden, cleaning, breakfast.
Review 59:Nice rooms, clean, neat family hotel, nice beach bar and food menu, pool, garden, beach, sea view.
Review 60:We got a room next to the laundry. It was a bit noisy.
Review 61:Poor wi-fi
Review 62:The location was perfect for us, not very crowded; relaxing time spent here...few minutes walk to Parga( restaurants, tavernas,port...)
Review 63:very slow internet
Review 64:Location
Review 65:Beautiful, friendly, well kept, perfect location, will be returning
Review 66:Excellent location, friendly staff, very nice room.
Review 67:nothing!
Review 68:room was new and clean great view excellent service from very friendly stuff ideal location for Parga
Review 69:- bathroom - repetitive breakfast - quality of the food in the restaurant - the swimming pool is dirty
Review 70:-the layout of the room and view - garden
Review 71:I don, like the fact that the reception changed the ordered room. This waa not fair.
Review 72:We prefered for every one this hotel its perfect, near the beach near the city the food its perfect the staff its so cool everything its Ok.
Review 73:You have to pay 8 euros at the beach to get an umbrella and a lounge-chair.
Review 74:Good rooms, clean, okay food, good breakfast, quite close to the beach.
Review 75:Staff and service was great. Rooms clean and perfect. Food is great
Review 76:- 7 nights are not enough to get boring at this hotel
Review 77:- very close to the valtos beach- best beach in Parga - all the personnel was very friendly - the family who own this hotel it's very nice - tematic nights (greek and italian) - best pizza in the world; good food and drinks
Review 78:Very accommodating. Helped out with small tasks such as booking transfers, printing boarding passes etc.. We arrived on Wednesday, the night of their Greek Night, and immediately felt welcomed and enjoyed a fun evening of dancing.
Review 79:Everything really. This was a wonderful hotel run by a lovely friendly family and all staff were lovely. We will certainly go back to this hotel again, great beach location, and we will recommend this hotel to everyone.
Review 80:it was difficult to find a free place by the pool
Review 81:everything,the hotel being so close to the beach, the pool, having free wi-fi up to the third floor, the view from our balcony.
Review 82:The staff were lovely we were traveling with a 1 year old an a 11 year old and the staff were very attentive an helpful. The view was spectacular from our room, which was also cleaned thoroughly everyday which was great! We loved the Greek night Thank You staff for a great holiday.
Review 83:Perhaps it should be more highlighted that the access to many of the rooms is via steep or long stairways as a 60+ couple we found this quite wearing.
Review 84:Location near beach. Friendly staff. Excellent breakfast. Junior suite 1st class. in general hotel facilities 1st class.
Review 85:The hotel was far from the beach on a steap hill, the beach had pebbles and we have to pay 8 euros for the umbrella and the loungechairs. The breakfast was the same and quite poor every morning .They overcharged us in the restaurant(we paid 40 euros for a fish instead of 14).We booked an apartament with seaview, for 230 euros per night ,and we didn't have a good view of the sea, just roofs.
Review 86:nothing in particular, maybe breakfast was nothing special, but on the other hand for 3-star is good.
Review 87:very clean hotel, perfect location, the stuff is very friendly and helpful, in principle good 3-star hotel. I find it honestly a bit expensive, but its not a problem of the hotel, but more of Greece:)
Review 88:Because we have only one key, it is not possible to have a goodtemperature in the room.(a/c is not working while you are outof the room)
Review 89:Owners hospitality from the first moment , food in the restaurant, location, space in the room.
Review 90:I and my family were absolutely pleased.
Review 91:The hotel, the staff and the location were in perfect combination! Very professionally organized and managed. Thank you all!

Review 95:The friendliness and cleanliness of this hotel were excellent. We had a delux room with large terrace overlooking the sea. Comfortable sun loungers around the swimming pool. Breakfast first class.
Review 96:Everything was top-notch. A few areas of the hotel could've been alittle more cleaner, but overall I'm entirely satisfied.
Review 97:Everything, it was one of the best hotels I've had the pleasure ofstaying at. Having what I would call a 'personal beach' just afew metres away was a true blessing!
Review 98:Mosquitos are a menace, always use protection - in and outside. Localchildren that come to the pool in the afternoons are quite noisy anddistrurbingly wild.
Review 99:Extremely polite and responsive service from everyone in the hotel.Delicious food, fantastic location of the hotel, great beach, excellent views from the terraces. Spacious rooms, well furnished, daily house-keeping.
