Review 1：Only gripe would be the shower recess,small and a steep shaped floor.
Review 2：The location is great,a block off the main drag through town.Has a pool which i like in summer after a long days drive.
Review 3：Usually booking.com only take our credit card number just for security when you book through them and you pay later. I told the motel specifically that we would like to pay in cash when we are checking in. They charged us straight away after we booked the room. On top of that, they charged us an extra $11.44 (2.6%) for a credit card fee which we didn't want to pay. I asked them upfront why they did this to us and they said that it was because we booked it through booking.com. Ridiculous.

Review 6：Air conditioning/heater could not keep it on a night as it was located directly above bed and could adjust the lovers enough to stop it blowing on your face. Lack of insulation and blankets meant a cold night. Second room back still noiser that I would have thought.

Review 8：I'm not sure of the procedure, however I imagine that taking the money out of your account before the cancellation period is over isn't what you are suppose to do, especially when you were under the impression that you wouldn't pay until you arrived and could pay cash when you did and that was your plan only to discover the money was taken out 4 days prior to the cancellation period and 6 before your stay... Of course this may be normal... I hope not though

This week we are staying in Bendigo again for work so I found another hotel which is 4star n is $27 cheaper and even let us check in early for no extra cost?? Thank u for having us but we won't stay again

We checked in late and left early, but the room was neat and tidy (if not slightly dated) but having stayed in a number of (more highly rated) Bendigo Motels/Hotels in the past 12 months for business I would have no hesitation in returning to the Welcome Stranger Motel. Good value for money.

We also stayed a second night sharing a room with another couple (this had been booked well in advance) This room was quite dated but I imagine is probably scheduled to be modernised some time soon . Review 100：The newly refurbished room was very nice indeed. A modern clean line bathroom and well presented room with an extra bed and a glass table with chairs. Fridge and the usual facilities were all there. Room has a high ceiling. All making for a comfortable night.
Review 101：The first room we were offered smelt of smoke. We were then transferred to another room where the electric blanket did not work. When I mentioned this to the staff their first response was they didn't think they could do anything about it that night. So I suggested that they take the electric blanket from the smokey room and put it onto the bed in the current room we were in.

Staff rude, felt like he did not want to let out his good rooms even though hardly anybody staying at motel and told us a few times how much the new bathrooms cost and how many times the new bed was slept in. He did apologise but I'm afraid that was to late
