Reviews for Dom Hotel

Review 1:The bed broke down, the answer of the manager was, that this could happen!! I answered that it is not ok for Four Star Hotel. She answered that it was completely renewed in 2011. please have a look at the photos I sent!! The room was old- fashioned and not at all 4-star standard. In addition to that the answer of the manager was completely unprofessional.

Review 2:Breakfast and staff were ok

Review 3:in the room no 17. it was not possible to use Wifi with my lap top. I asked to help to reception, she just said here is working, turn you lap top off and on. eventually I used internet at the lobby.

Review 4:Our room was on the street side so at night,if you opended the windows for fresh air...there was a lot of noise coming from the street and some music from a nearby bar. Luckily, the AC was working very good. Otherwise, just some small details that I think a 4 stars hotel should check before the guests arrive: The remote control for the tv was not working-but they changed it quickly at our request. There were slippers only for 2 guests-although we had a triple room

Review 5:The hotel is a very short walk from the historical center. It has a private parking for which you have to pay around 7 eur per day. We had a triple room on the 4th floor, which was quite big, clean. The breakfast was fine but could be a little more diversified. Good AC.

Review 6:it's not a 4 stars hotel. It's almost a 1 stars. Terrible room (small and almost dirty). uncomfortable bed (I asked for hard pillows and they left me with 4 soft ones). I had to pay 25euros extra for the crib 8without any estimate). Let's talk about breakfast: I am not talikng about a 4****. it's another world. I am comparing Dom Hotel to a 2** anywhere. No possible comparison: milk that is not milk. A black dirty water they called coffee...no croissant. no sparkling water. Too sugared juices.

Review 7:only the central location

Review 8:Unfortunately, the door of the bathroom is made of glass. Therefore at evening/night the light was disturbing for the sleeping people.

Review 9:The staff was friendly and helpful.

Review 10:Caution! Tub was very slippery.

Review 11:Parking on the property access to city center. A/C. Friendliness and helpfulness of staff. Elevator made getting bags to room easy.

Review 12:Bedroom window opens onto a noisy "Summer beer garden". Ill fitting venetian blinds on an eye-level window - plus Americans killing time at 3 a.m. - fortunately rain saved the day on two nights. Open plan shower causes a swamp area.

Review 13:Great place to stay , 2 mins walking to center but in a quiet location, fully recommend this hotel for great value and location a few meters from the Dom

Review 14:It would be helpful for elderly people to have handles to hold on the bath wall.

Review 15:Excellent breakfast buffet. I loved the sound of church bells chiming regularly.

Review 16:Really not a 4* hotel. Basic rooms; lack of the little things that make one comfortable. Not good value for money.

Review 17:Staff and breakfast. Location very good.

Review 18:Wi-Fi was missing overnight, a little bit noisy for rooms locatednext to road.

Review 19:Good location, easy to find using gps, kind personnel,a rich breakfast.

Review 20:Many spiders were in the place of a window. Cleaning of near a window is not carried out. Although I wanted to pay in cash, it had become card payment freely.

Review 21:Building construction down the road, workers come early in the morning but nothing so scary.

Review 22:Location, staff, air con & breakfast, all excellent!! Also secure parking if you come by car.

Review 23:Didn't have any complaints.

Review 24:Was in a good location within the city. Beds were comfortable, and the room was clean.

Review 25:Room, beds and decor is a little bit tired.

Review 26:Great staff, good location, good breakfast and good value.

Review 27:Perfect Continental breakfast

Review 28:Kitchen smell in the morning dwarfed into my room, bathroom is really small, and bed is to hard.

Review 29:nothing, really.

Review 30:People and bed were nice

Review 31:The breakfasts, and the breakfast room atmosphere, were lovely. The staff was super-attentive.

Review 32:great location near the city centre. clean and well equipped and nice room. ready to help staff.

Review 33:Good location, secure parking, friendly helpful reception.

Review 34:This was right in the centre of town. Didn't have to take any public transit. Lots of shopping, and so much to see.

Review 35:3 stars - maximum

Review 36:Breakfast is ok

Review 37:No restaurant for dinner

Review 38:Very good WiFi, no vpn block

Review 39:The staff was so helpful and friendly. The location was close to the center. The rooms were very comfortable.

Review 40:perfect localization - 3 minutes walk from the city center !

Review 41:The staff was really nice and always prepared to help. We´d like to come again. :-)

Review 42:3rd bed has a plastic mattress or similar, very uncomfortable to sleep on.

Review 43:they don't provide lunch, dinner nor room services.

Review 44:simple and clean

Review 45:Charming location and site

Review 46:The beds were narrow, rooms could have been a bit spacier.

Review 47:The staff was very kind and helpful.

Review 48:All good

Review 49:Good location for Tips arena Great breakfast Friendly and helpful staff

Review 50:Room could have been cleaned more properly

Review 51:Extremely helpful and nice staff

Review 52:None

Review 53:Great breakfast great location

Review 54:Old fashioned, poor facilities

Review 55:Location

Review 56:Breakfast was ok but could have been better.

Review 57:Location. Staff.

Review 58:Perfect location, large and comfortable room, nice and helpful staff

Review 59:Shower over bath poorly located

Review 60:Lots of space Breakfast good

Review 61:friendly, helpful staff great breakfast quiet room good location away from the traffic on the main square

Review 62:good

Review 63:Very friendly girls in the reception and the free on-site parking was a big bonus as it can be quite expensive the parking Linz

Review 64:Wi-Fi signal was poor and connection troublesom with all registerationcodes and pins.

Review 65:Good location.

Review 66:They offered a sauna and fitness room in their advertising but theneglected to say it was under long term renovation - that was why Ichose the hotel...

Review 67:The staff were really helpful. No problems there.

Review 68:Really appreciated was the provision of accommodation in the separate house at the rear of the hotel, which the staff had especially arranged while building work was ongoing in the street outside the hotel.

Review 69:Although booking.com says that WiFi is free of charge in all areas, the reception gave us access for four hours = 12 EUR. Perhaps the WiFi is not free in the rooms and only in the reception but this information was not transmitted. The breakfast does not seem to match the four stars.

Review 70:The position of the hotel, the kindness of the staff and the parking.

Review 71:Considering the price and otherwise high standard of this hotel, the breakfast was a little disappointing. We had stayed the previous night at a hostel, and the breakfast was better there, so it was a bit shocking. There were an inadequate number of bread rolls so we asked for more. They sent out for more and after waiting 15 minutes for them, they only brought three more. The word that best describes the breakfast would be, mean. A shame really, because it was a nice hotel.

Review 72:The staff were very friendly and helpful and the location was great. The room had air-conditioning which was very important during our stay. Comfortable room and bed.

Review 73:Has no style. Poor breakfast. Rate is very high compared to ugly and small rooms. Very very small and dirty toilet and old towels!! I can not recommend. It is even not very close to the main street.

Review 74:The young lady at the reception was very helpfull and friendly.

Review 75:Everything else. We stayed in the detached part of the hotel or "home in the garden" area. It felt like we went back in time. The decor was extremely antiquated and not to our liking. We could've gotten past the decor if the bed had been comfortable. It wasn't. It was the hardest bed I've slept on in my life. We may as well have been sleeping on the floor. The couch was equally as hard and uncomfortable. Bottom line, if you want a restful night, do not stay here!

Review 76:The staff was the only good thing. All of them were extremely polite and courteous.

Review 77:Mini bar was broken and full of warm drinks. Bed was very hard. Just one duvet and no blankets. For a hotel that is supposed to be four star - I thought it quite basic.

Review 78:Staff were very helpful.

Review 79:My room was in a separated building so I had to walk for breakfast. Nodecoration at all (it looked like a motorway hotel). Poor wifi. Poorcleanness in the bathroom.

Review 80:The room is not comfortable and facilities were too simple. Breakfastwas simple, too.

Review 81:The front desk staff were all nice and really willing to help.

Review 82:Good location not far from the centre of the town. The room was lightand airy but the view from the room on the 4th floor over a demolishedbuilding was disappointing! It was a good job no work was being carriedout while we were there. The breakfast, included in the room rate, was a little disappointing with only “cold” hot food available and a limited selection otherwise. I don’t know why any cook deems it acceptable to prepare scrambled eggs and bacon at around 07:00 and just leave it sitting there for three hours!

Review 83:Good location not far from the centre of the town. The room was lightand airy but the view from the room on the 4th floor over a demolishedbuilding was disappointing! It was a good job no work was being carriedout while we were there. On the positive side the room was well-equipped with new fixtures and fittings, as was the bathroom. What you would normally expect for a four star hotel. The staff were helpful and competent, especially on reception. This was our first stay in the Hotel Dom and helped to make our short stay in Linz an enjoyable one. We will consider returning the next time we visit Linz.

Review 84:Everything is OK!

Review 85:Very nice hotel with free of charge parking. The hotel is situated just near the main street? That is very convenient! But the breakfast more fit 3 stars.

Review 86:The room was not as clean as I hoped it would be. There where tiny bugs in one spot of the wall and behind the curtains. Inside the minibar some sticky fluid was spilled allover. From 6:30 on it penetrantly smells like oil and ham and around 7 the construction work right outside your window starts.

Review 87:The helpfulness of the staff was exceptional, especially with advice on where to go and how to get there and willingness to take on tasks such as booking taxis, hire cars and posting letters.Late night porter made us tea and even a sandwich one night. It was a nice relaxed atmosphere. It was well situated 3 blocks from the main shopping street but actually very quiet.

Review 88:The bathroom door couldn't be closed. Don't have to say anything else (there is more)... this hotel is a standard 2 star hotel.

Review 89:Location and friendly staff.

Review 90:if theres a rainy day and your caged in the hotel (because Linz wount let you stay in), the training area is very depressing.

Review 91:The hotel comes in the years but like an old wine it has a nice flair, is clean and the hotel staff is very polite and helpful.

Review 92:Several disturbed late nights / early mornings. A group of Italian school children stayed in the hotel on the Saturday and Sunday nights and literally ran wild with so much noise, running in corridors, slamming doors, shouting and screaming, even banging on doors not their own. If there were teachers accompanying the children they appeared to make to effort to control things. We were told that the children were "sat down and spoken to" after the first night as their behaviour was unacceptable and that they must remember the presence of other guests - all to no avail. There were also a couple of disturbed nights when rather loud and apparently inebriated business types were chatting in the carpark / garden area - on one occasion until 3.30 am. Such behaviour is quite unreasonable on the part of the individuals concerned and, we appreciate, beyond the control of the hotel management, but it did spoil an otherwise enjoyable stay. The hotel is probably caught between catering for the overnighting business community attending meetings and exhibitions in the city, and the more "ordinary" type of city visitor / holiday maker / tourist: probably a tension that cannot be resolved. I did wonder wear the towelling robe / dressing gown, promised in the Booking.com hotel review was.

Review 93:The location was ideal, just a short and pleasant walk from the Old City. The rooms were kept spotlessly clean. Reception desk staff were unfailingly helpful.

Review 94:blue carpet on the floor. simple furniture, the door to bathroom of " milk glass". People in the room share all sounds from bathroom.

Review 95:location in the centre of city Linz, silent location if you have garden side of hotel

Review 96:Wifi with user/password is always heavy to manage.

Review 97:Hotel location is perfect staff is great, young and sympatic Linz is very nice

Review 98:Really kind staff

Review 99:WiFi is very slow.

Review 100:Nice location, very close to the center.

Review 101:Sorry. We can say nothing bad

Review 102:It is close to the centre. Comfortable for resting and shopping. Stuff is very kind and polite.

Review 103:Rooms were a bit tired and the gym could use some thought.

Review 104:Staff were fabulous and friendly, breakfast was delicious!

Review 105:Horrible parking, horrible internet connection with permanent virusattack. Photo of room is much better than reality.

Review 106:Personal was nice.

Review 107:We would change the shower set-up and the pillows to make it perfect.

Review 108:Nice people and excellent breakfast.

Review 109:I liked especially the waiteresses. They are very kind and nice girls.

Review 110:The kindness of the staff and the room which looked much better compared to three years ago.

Review 111:We booked triple room but third bed was not full size so not good for adult We had to ask for control at reception

Review 112:Breakfast ok Good location

Review 113:Restaurant closes early

Review 114:Location Appointment of room Church bells ringing

Review 115:Few televison stations in English
