Reviews for Mandraki Village Boutique Hotel

Review 1:One of the best breakfast I ever had! High quality Greek traditional breakfast at its best. Just perfect! Nice spacious rooms with homey decoration.

Review 2:The bed was awful! The springs in the metrise hurt my back so i could not sleep. They charge extra money for beach towels! For every day you take them! On the main roud, noisy. The room is much smaller then it seems in the photo and furniture is pretty aged too.

Review 3:The room was very clean. Nice breakfast.

Review 4:Wi-Fi almost nonexistent,I recommend solve the problem with wi -fi,we have spent more time in the hotel for pool and restaurant

Review 5:good location, near the beach, a complex of villas and bungalows very nice, good breakfast, helpful staff

Review 6:the rooms are so far from four stars hotel. We changed our first room with the support of the staff, couse was so small and the air conditioner was blowing directly to my body during the night. The second room was very very wet and dark, smells like wet. The bathroom - it was so stupidly build - all the water stays at your feet and everything gets wet...so uncomfortable. The WiFi - in the room - very week to no signal. Good - only at the reception.

Review 7:The staff was very nice and smiling.

Review 8:Parking for the car was a bit hit and miss. The location does not have much to offer so you're going to need some form of transportation in order to get to Skiathos. A bit pricey.

Review 9:We loved the breakfast, the general look of the villas and the surrounding gardens. Nice and clean bathrooms. Very kind people at the reception, at the bar and the management. The hotel is close to one of the largest beaches of the island and has a decent pool if that's your thing.

Review 10:when we arrived, the receptionist told us that our triple room was booked for one person only!?!? after few hours she cleared it with booking.com. however, that start was bad. We had half-board. the dinner food was very tasty, but the choice of meals was very narrow, so we ended up eating the same 2 dishes every evening. getting to Skiathos town dfro. the hotel is difficult - there's a crowded buss which sometines won't take you because it's too full, and taxies have to be booked a lot in advance and are often not available at all. so, if you plan to go out in town every evening, this location is not convenient.

Review 11:location close to Koukounaries beach, friendly staff, excellent breakfast

Review 12:We booked 2 rooms, one double and one triple. The double room was just fine. The triple room was too small for 3 people (grown up children). The 3rd bed is a small sofa bad. In the balcony there were only 2 chairs. But the main problem was a mold & a strong odor in the room, even after ventilation.

Review 13:On our last night (5th) they transferred the kids to an upgraded room and offered a free lunch for the whole family. Also, great breakfast, good location, staff was very available for help.

Review 14:We liked everything about Mandraki. From the friendly staff, the convenient location, the comfort of the room, the food... The breakfast is indeed on of the highlights: healthy options and traditional delicacies to suit everyone's taste. The staff did its best to cater our every need during our stay. The bottle of water refilled daily was a plus. We also enjoyed the lovely garden and the playground playing with our little girl. Would definitely return to Mandraki!

Review 15:It`s not the standard of four stars hotel. Low-quality equipment. Very small room. So is balcony. Uncomfortable beds. Worn out matresses. You feel springs right under your back! For third person we got tiny take-down sofa. It was very narrow and much worse to sleep. Disgusting ventilator sound from the restaurant. Small pool. Few deckchairs. After 10 o`clock couldn`t find a free one. Poor choice for breakfast. Dishes not complemented. Flies and mosquitos. Do not recommend if you expect calm and right level of 4*. Before coming there we stayed at hotel close the town Skiathos and it was much better.

Review 16:Dining room too squashed particularly where the buffet is! Mozzies (lawned gardens)

Review 17:Boutique style throughout & very nice too, particularly the Restaurant Helpful & pleasant staff Superb breakfast choices

Review 18:Mattresses slightly harder than average.

Review 19:Everything - good location, excellent staff, food, cleanliness. Good atmosphere in hotel and immediate surroundings.

Review 20:nothing at all, everything was perfect

Review 21:lush gardens, quietness, cleanliness, location, friendly staff, comfortable rooms, rich breakfast, friendly environment for children

Review 22:Lovely garden and great restauran.t Food was excellent. Very friendly staff. Vicinity to koukounaries beach and close to mystique beach and bananista.

Review 23:Very bad location, near to the camping, very noise, the beach near to the hotel is very bad, public beach , too much people. The bed is not confortable, very bad mattress, very small room, too much moscuitos, everything is ikea style, too much expensive for this quality

Review 24:Nothing

Review 25:Pool a little small. But only beacase we like to do lengths for fitness.

Review 26:All of the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Concerige excellent service. Loved the happy hour and the breakfast was great. Thank you all very much

Review 27:The service wasnt good and did not game in aid when needed

Review 28:Small room Mini bar fridge needs replacement

Review 29:Great location Great breakfast

Review 30:Location by the main road so not relaxing by the pool or in the garden due to traffic noise.

Review 31:Great breakfast, wide variety of authentic Greek food

Review 32:cleaning, staff

Review 33:Very good breakfast and very good restaurant

Review 34:Location - not close to beach. Relatively small pool.

Review 35:Nice, roomy room. Lovely breakfast. Clean. Nice garden.

Review 36:Everything

Review 37:Lighting in bathroom very poor

Review 38:Staff were amazing and tentative.

Review 39:Lots of wasps!

Review 40:Vintage furnishings in room Restaurant Pool

Review 41:Very nice design, great breakfast buffet, lovely garden , nice pool, sunbeds, family atmosphere

Review 42:Bed mattress full of springs, very uncomfortable, but management sorted this out next morning by adding a mattress topper. Didn't like the balcony being completely surrounded by trees, no view, quite oppressive sitting out there, and made the room dark and gloomy. Always had to have lights on despite lovely sunshine.

Review 43:Decor In rooms stylish and contemporary. Great bathroom with power shower. Pool area very quiet with comfortable sun loungers. Great buffet breakfast. Handy for bus stop into skiathos town, and for koukounaries beach.

Review 44:Nothing!

Review 45:A perfect relaxing hotel with every attention to detail. Staff were very friendly and nothing was to much trouble. In a quiet location but close to some delightful tavernas and bars. Close to a busy beach and 20 minute walk through the forest to some beautiful quieter beaches. Excellent bus service to Skiathos town. An excellent breakfast along with a superb restaurant.

Review 46:Employees are very impolite, unprofessional, lousy.. Breakfast is poor, regarding variety and regarding taste and quality of food.. There are no enough space at breakfast restaurant, so very often you have to wait for the table, and they don't care at all about that, if you are lucky they will say "Good morning".. They forget things/orders.. Then, it is faraway from the Old town, but also you need a car anyway, even for the beaches, because they are not so close so that you can walk, especially when the it's too hot, and especially if you have little kids, and there are no sidewalks at all at Skiathos... Also, there are no enough sunbeds at the pool.. Also, you can't see the sea at all from it, because it's like in the middle of some kind of "wood"... Some things in a room(s) are missing or not working, for example: we could not close/lock the door from our terrace, and we were at the ground floor, the water didn't go propper at the sink, etc.. Rooms (even for 3 persons) are pretty small, the extra bed is really bad quality, you can't sleep on it... And for the end (I tried to be as short as possible, above all, because I don't want to waste my time anymore on them): Last day, at check out we stayed 3 HOURS!... WHY: Because they did (before..) preauthorization of certain amount of the money from our Credit card and they didn't "release" it right on time (there are certain bank's procedures) so that we could do the payment, so our money was blocked by Mandraki Village Boutique Hotel, and the girl from the reception didn't know what to do, so first she was accusing banks, blah, blah (plus, we were in a hurry for the ferry, not to mention waste of someone's time, and broken plans - we were planning to stay that day until the ferry, at the Old town), so after more than 2 hours of bothering, she called her manager who came and somehow finally finished the job!...

Review 47:Design is sweet..

Review 48:On the first two occasions we tried to relax around the pool our afternoons were totally ruined by a large and noisy family who weren't even staying at the hotel (we saw them drive up and park and afterwards drive away)turning up and running riot in and around the pool area. It became apparent on the second afternoon that it was the family of one of the barmen who were being allowed to use the facilities. We spent the rest of our days on the beach. We would not return to the hotel in future because of this.

Review 49:Very clean, well presented, beautiful gardens and pool area. Lovely breakfast. Comfortable rooms. Right on the main bus route so easy to get about the island. Staff very friendly and welcoming.

Review 50:There was a bit of an ant problem in the bathroom, likely due to the lack of window insect screens. The bathroom toiletries were not renewed throught our stay.

Review 51:We absolutely loved the luxurious gardens, decorated with colourful flowers, Greek statues and orange trees. The breakfast was very rich, simply delicious. The wi-fi worked well. Koukounaries beach was well within reach on foot (5 min walk to the sea).

Review 52:Very welcoming and friendly staff. Excellent bar and dining facilities. Rooms clean and adequate. Lovely setting. This indeed a 'boutique' hotel.

Review 53:It was a great holiday. This island is so beautiful. The hotel was very cozy, intresting. The restaurant was perfekt. And the people from the reception were very friendly.

Review 54:I booked a deluxe family suite but was a bit disappointed with it, not as spacious as I had hoped with only one wardrobe for four people ,a bit cramed to say the least.

Review 55:Friendly staff, a small family run hotel with a homely feel. Great location close to the beach . Taverners and restaurants close by.

Review 56:Thought it might have been better to have a completely seperate pool forlittle ones - there was a shallow pool incorporated into the mainswimming pool which was fine, but having such a nice play area at thefar side of the lawns to have a seperate pool would have been morepeaceful for the adults travelling without young children and a greaterattraction for those with boistrous youngsters.

Review 57:A little gem. Stylish without being pretentious, beautiful settingamongst the pine forests and very close to three magnificent beaches.Staff very welcoming and friendly, with immaculate english. Whole hotel, pool area, gardens and rooms immaculate. Food varied and offered all day- loved the bistro style restaurant upstairs but also the pool bar whichserved light dishes from lunchtime until late evening and the widechoice at breakfast, usually eaten outside or under the shade of the barlounge, with views across the pool and lawns.Delightful.

Review 58:Nothing everthing was perfect

Review 59:I loved this hotel the buffet breakfast was top notch and the design and decor of the hotel was stunning. We stayed 3 nights and did not want to leave. The hotel and bar staff were so so friendly and we will definatley stay here again. Your holiday will be a one to remember if you stay at madraki village.

Review 60:Internet wireless is not working, signal is very weak

Review 61:All people are very frendly

Review 62:Professionality and kindness of staff. Wonderful breakfast. Location close to Koukounaries beach

Review 63:the staff was not friendly, they laughed and made fun of all tourists in Greek

Review 64:Evina, the manager extremely competent and helpful. Nice restuarants close by. Easy access to beaches. Bus stop close by.

Review 65:Very friendly staff, close to One of Skiathos' best beaches and easy access to Skiathos town. Highly recommended. Terry and John from Australia.

Review 66:Not enough sun loungers.

Review 67:Stylish, comfortable, well managed, with very helpful staff. Good food. Very clean. Highly recommended.

Review 68:wirless, but in vacation i do not mind

Review 69:everything, the room, the staff, the location was strategic near to the most beautiful beaches of the island
