Hotel Montana sells fast on our site. Located in Obertauern, Hotel Montana offers ski-to-door access, a restaurant, a gym and a wellness centre with an indoor swimming pool, a sauna, a hot tub, a sun bed, a steam bath and massages. Free Wi-Fi is provided in the entire building.

Review 1：Before arrival I've send a couple of emails (direct to hotel and via booking.com) asking for possibility of early arrival and late checkout. They failed to reply! Once we got there, early arrival was not possible (which was not a problem at all). On the morning of checkout we asked for late checkout, they said "yes no problem, we remember your emails...". However, they failed to tell us in advance there is an additional charge for late checkout! It was not obvious from morning discussion. At checkout they wanted to charge additional cost (and it was before 4pm). Which was later, after my complaint, halved. First of all, I'd expect them to answer my emails, and above all to tell in advance for any additional charge!

Review 2：Nice hotel, on the level one would expect for a 4* hotel in Obertauern. Really good location (ski in/ski out, close to centre), clean, nice sauna and pool...

Review 3：Very high price we had to pay for an extra bed and a small room 3 persons had to share. Either the price should be reasonable or the room sgould be much more comfortable

Review 12：Interior: The interior is somewhat outdated. The 70s/80s with similar furniture. Also the windows in our room were old, blattered paint and such Room: The frontside of the hotel is close to the street, so you can hear cars, trucks and noisy people quite loud. And if you close the window, the room becomes very hot, because the heating is always on at high temperature

Review 13：Location. The hotel is directly related at the ski-piste. Just walk out the door and you're on the piste The food: breakfast & dinner are excellent. Staff: The staff is very friendly, real Austrian hospitality

Review 14：Some staff had absolutely no English and a lot of the signs, menus, brochures were not in English. Also the power went out during our stay - there seemed to be no back up generator, we had to dangerously make out way down dark stairwells - even the emergency exit light/signs were out.

Review 15：Amazing location - ski in/ski out and close to restaurants, bars and ski hire gear. The sauna and pool are great to relax in. Food at the breakfast buffet was brilliant although no toast?!?

Review 16：Nothing to dislike about the hotel. Obertauern is lovely apart from the Euro pop music in the apres bars but if you put up with that it is a lively and pleasant resort with short transfer time. Not the cheapest for refreshment at the mountain cafés and resort bars.

Review 17：I really think this hotel has the best location in Obertauern - bar none. It is right on the eidelweiss ski run. Many hotels are ski to door location but the eidelweiss run is lovely and is where the floodlit night skiiing takes place. Food was very good and beautifully presented. Staff very friendly and helpful. We booked our equipment with ski world (alpinresorts) which offered the cheapest (booked online before we went) and the equipment looked almost new. My son had snowboard lessons with the Frau Holle school which was very good. I had an instructor with Top school and was not really impressed so would not recommend them. Transfer was booked on line beforehand. Habbersatter Reisen (not sure that is the correct spelling) offer the cheapest option and are very efficient. Last thing - anyone who has previously skied in Italy and had as 'aperol Spritz' to drink - don't bother in Austria as it is basically just soda water with a dash of Aperol (no prosecco!). Apres ski is I suppose what might be considered typically Austrian - lots of awful euro pop it sounds like the Eurovision Song Contest on continuous loop.

Review 18：Tough, we told the waitress about food allergy she served us food that we can not have and she said we can eat it. I have had a terrible night. The waitress doesn't speak German well.

Review 19：Outstanding staff, unbeatable location by the slopes, very solid food/ bar experience, great great value for money. Amenities like the underground parking, indor heated pool, sauna, ski gear storage room, wifi, were a great addition as well.
