Reviews for Hotel Apollon
Review 1:Just be aware that there is no lift so climbing up to the third floor could be a problem for some.
Review 2:I picked the hotel because it was close to the beach and the guarantee of a sea view - it did not disappoint!! I really enjoyed the stay, reception was very helpful.Good link to Corfu Town but there is plenty to do in the resort so no need to stray far.
Review 3:The breakfast was ok. But don't expect too much. The room was cozy, we liked it (especially the balcony with its seaview is beautiful!) However, we found the bed a bit discomfortable but all in all it was ok too.
Review 4:The locaion is GREAT! One of the best beach I've seen and the hotel is a few steps away. The seaview of the rooms are perfect. Free wifi works very well. Also we stayed half board and were very satisfied with the dinners. The prices are very reasonable in terms of accomodation and food. Highly recommended!
Review 5:lovely hotel super location , the staff were always friendly and helpful we were on he second floor with a balcony and sunbeds the best floor, the beds were a little hard but I asked and was given a mattress topper no problem, we will certainly be returning to this happy hotel again, our flight was not until 10.30pm and we had to vacate our room by 12.00 but we were able to leave our luggage in reception have he last day on the beach, and then go back for a shower at no extra cost thankyou Hotel apollon for a great stay
Review 6:The facilities need a little bit of renovation. We stayed in room 53 and during a thunderstorm had a leak from the ceiling, so if you are offered this room, ask if they repaired the leak. During breakfast there are a lot of wasps and flies, but those are more of an island feature for which the hotel has no fault. In terms of food, especially if you'd be staying longer, the breakfast lacks variety.
Review 7:Location! It has got to be one of the best on the island.
Review 8:compared to other hotels in corfu staff were not interested ~seemed more like a hostel in that respect! we got the keys and that was that! we had two rooms: the one on first floor had restricted view , very small bathroom and veranda; one on third floor was a perfect size. we only stayed two nights,as we travelled round the island, so we put up with it.
Review 9:rooms were in good condtion and spotlessly clean- better than what the photos suggested.the resort itself is fab, but you have to stay to appreciate it , don't just go for the day. early morning and evening you have it all to yourself. lots of little beaches to explore. we hired a boat for the day ,swam in caves , moored at several beaches and also a bar- our best day of the holiday. don't miss the little monestary and the craft villages up the hill, lakones etc.. beatiful views from above.
Review 10:The breakfast was strictly OK. The bed was not the best.
Review 11:Location is awesome. Just at the beach and the bus stop. It's a very commercial beach so lot of people. But it's beautiful and it's right in front of it.
Review 12:The double bed was two twins pushed together, but it's really no different from any other hotel you'll find in the area.
Review 13:The staff was incredibly accomodating and the food was delicious. You couldn't ask for a better location or view for the perfect escape on Corfu. I would highly recommend Hotel Apollon to any traveller or vacationer going to this area.
Review 14:The conditions and facilities of the room were very poor. The beds were very old and you could not turn to the other side without making noise. Moreover, the staff were not very friendly and not eager to give you info when asked.
Review 15:Location was excellent. Food was ok
Review 16:It would be good to have a curtain around the shower to prevent water from spilling out.all rooms had single beds.it would be good to have find a way to join the bed together if you have couple staying.
Review 17:The location of the hotel was excellent as it was in front of the beach. This hotel had the best view of paleokastritsa main beach. The reception was very helpful. The room was simple comfortable and had the basic amenities including air conditioning toiletries and hot shower. It had a big fridge to store the drinks.the hotel was very close to supermarket and other restaurents.continental breakfast was good but would have liked some more variety.Hotel also provided entertainment like greek, cuban nights.we had dinner one night there and food was ok.there was a guide book at the hotel about the hotel, paleocastritsa and other useful information about food language, corfu and places to visit.day trip to paxos and antipaxos booked via the hotel is worthwhile.i enjoyed swimming in the crystal clear blue water but be prepared for the cold water
Review 18:The Hotel is in a beautiful location with clean and comfortable rooms, an excellent restaurant and very friendly staff who always make you feel welcome. Well done the Apollon !
Review 19:Twin beds
Review 20:The staff were excellent and the breakfast superb if you are looking for a good value no frills clean hotel in probably the best location in paleokastritsa then look no further the views from room balconies and terrace are just stunning
Review 21:Maybe tea/coffee facilities would be nice in rooms.
Review 22:The location and the rooms, thought everything lovely. The staff did their best to make us very comfortable, in fact changed mind about second location and stayed extra three days.
Review 23:It was all fine.
Review 24:I enjoyed my two nights at the Apollon Hotel. I had used the bar before on previous visits to Paleo, but this was my first stay. It was very nice to meet Spiro, Kostas and Nico again, and to be welcomed back. Pleasant room with lovely sea view.
Review 25:amazing location, comfortable rooms and friendly staff. We had the half board menu in Apollon Restaurant and it was really good quality at a very reasonable price.
Review 26:Breakfast very ordinary, however if your happy with cereals and toast this was quite adequate. I like coffee hot, the coffee machine only ever provided Luke warm coffee, even the hot water was only warm. Glad we brought own travel kettle t -bags and coffee. Half board food small portions, main menu was good.
Review 27:First visit to paleokastritsa, what a beautiful location. Apollon Hotel has prime spot, view from rooms are simply superb, annexe around the side, not quite as good but still nice. Staff are very friendly once they got to recognise you.
Review 28:Nothing - a great hotel
Review 29:Staff were great - friendly and efficient. Mattress toppers! They make a world of difference to greek beds. Location is superb. Food is very good. Customer service is excellent from both the staff and the management.
Review 30:Bathroom too small - shower flooded the whole bathroom. Bed very hard. Had to share breakfast with 200 wasps each morning. Breakfast tables not cleaned after previous persons. Shortage of cutlery, plates, bowls etc. Had to request all of the above each day. Tongs were always inside the trays of food instead of outside - unhygienic.
Review 31:The view from the balcony. Staff very pleasant and helpful.
Review 32:The internet quality and bandwidth needs to be improved. Breakfast was plentiful but can be improved by introducing more variety.
Review 33:It is very close to the beach. The staff is very helpful and helped us when there were issues with the internet. The rooms are clean and well equipped. Good size fridge for refreshments and fruit. Very nice bakery within the hotel premises.
Review 34:The breakfast is the same every day. The wireless is poor. They had a lot of wasps flying around.
Review 35:This hotel has the best view to the sea and all rooms have sea view. We had rooms on the 2nd floor which has a large common terrace. We could sleep with the terrace door opened and listen to the sea all night. The rooms are cleaned every day.
Review 36:I felt like a spartan soldier during breakfast, hope they'll find a way to get rid of the bees at the buffet till you get there
Review 37:the most beautiful view you can think of, our breath was taken every time we looked out of th window.. The location is priceless! The staff were very kind
Review 38:A shower screen or shower curtain would have been good to stop the bathroom floor getting soaked.
Review 39:The staff were very welcoming and helpful regarding local attractions, organising car hire, catching the bus etc. The main beach is right across the road and the bus stop. There's plenty of tavernas within walking distance. The hotel has a restaurant plus a bar and also during the day a store where pastries and bread rolls can be purchased. The easiest way from the airport is to catch a cab.
Review 40:Lovely hotel run by even nicer people. While this is not a 5 star hotel, that fact is a positive. You could not get as friendly and personal treatment from a bigger place. Situated almost at the water's edge of one of the beautiful bays of this area, you only need to step across from the hotel on to a mainly sandy beach leading to crystal clear water. Such a beautiful place we are almost reluctant to leave good feedback, to keep it a secret for ourselves! Mark and Tracey
Review 41:Perfect location. Nice view from rooms. So quiet and relaxing here and the staff couldn't be friendlier or more helpful if they tried. Water crystal clear and water side watering holes, offer excellent food. Will return again......
Review 42:Unfriendly staff, poor furniture, bad wifi
Review 43:Location is perfect, the price is low
Review 44:Amazing location right by the beach, friendly staff and all-round great holiday!!!
Review 45:Small room, shower without door, even without curtain. Bed is uncomfortable, breakfast for UK guests (sausages)
Review 46:Perfect location
Review 47:Too many flies at breakfast
Review 48:Location, cleanliness and friendly staff
Review 49:Perfect location, literally 10 yards from the beach!
Review 50:The stairs to the 3rd floor (but did get some help)
Review 51:The view and Location
Review 52:Nothing
Review 53:location location location View from rooms .
Review 54:Location & sea views & peacefulness of area
Review 55:Great views, comfortable. Friendly staff, great location
Review 56:Scrambled egg could be a wee bit warmer !!
Review 57:Hospitality, food & people.
Review 58:No showerscreen
Review 59:The view
Review 60:Dial up connection on a landline is faster than the wifi, sometime there is absolutely no wifi at all even when connected.
Review 61:The rooms were slightly tired and the shower would benefit from a shower cubicle.
Review 62:Loved the location of the hotel and the staff were wonderful.
Review 63:Hotel is situate in a wonderful position. You never tire of the view. Staff are very friendly and helpful
Review 64:the steps

Review 74:Wasps and Wifi connection
Review 75:View, food
Review 76:The staff are great especially George in the bar :)
Review 77:Everything
Review 78:Extra charge for aircon. Shower had no screen so floor got soaked.Breakfast basic but could always find enough to eat.
Review 79:Position across from beach.Large balcony.Friendly staff.Good fridge. Some beach equip and books available to borrow.
Review 80:Perhaps the rooms could have done with some art or pictures on the walls to make them less stark in appearance.
Review 81:This is a very basic hotel but is excellent for the type of holiday the resort caters for. It does good food, provides occasional entertainment and its location by the beach is superb. An easy going and most enjoyable stay.
Review 82:A very well run hotel staff very friendly, could not do enough, foodlovely. Felt you were in Greece, the whole atmosphere lovely, greatviews no complaints at all, would definatly return, Karen and herhusband were great, thanks both ......
Review 83:Location! This hotel is as close to the beach as one could get. The view from the balcony is exquisite. The staff were very friendly and truly happy and excited for us and our holiday.
Review 84:It'd be great to have an additional mirror in the rooms...... maybe closer to daylight, great for doing hair and make up. Downstairs if there was a relaxing / chilling area, that'd be great, ie: sofas, low tables etc. This is all constructive critiscm..... as I really, really enjoyed my stay.
Review 85:Location was fantastic, the food was great and the staff were happy to share their knowledge of the area, were super friendly and helpful.
Review 86:The cost of a taxi from and to the airport is exorbitant for a distance of 20 km at most. The mosquitos were terrible especially at night. This is on account of all the foliage (the island is covered in olive trees). Public transport from Paleokastrista at this time of year is confined to 5 buses per day monday to friday and less at the weekend to Corfu town and as the taxis fares are exorbitant, ones options for travel are reduced.
Review 87:The location is excellent. Not alone is the hotel located across the road from a very picturesque beach but behind the hotel is a small mountain with tracks (donkey tracks) which can be used for trecking and visiting other little villages which are further up the mountain on foot. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful and genuinely seemed to enjoy their work (there was one exception). Dinner in the restaurant was well presented and good value. The breakfast was basic but contained all the necessary requirements to start your day ( hot porridge available every morning ) and if you requested a fry it was available for an extra cost. The beach was lovely and the warm mediterranean water glorious for swimming. Our fellow hotel guests were friendly , courteous and respectful.
Review 88:My friend and me are tall so is not comfortable for us to sleep because beds in room have a backs. Little bit noisy. Soundproof is bad. A lot of olders.
Review 89:Friendly staff, good location, nice sea view. Tasty breakfast (greek yogurt is very fantastic).
Review 90:Breakfast food - poor quality and we had to buy things to supplement the meal.
Review 91:location is fantastic - loved the view from our balcony! The staff could not have been more friendly - very personal service and homely too. Great bakery on site - gave flexibility at breakfast time. evening entertainment was excellent - on 3 nights a week.
Review 92:everything was great, could be a little better selection in the restaurant but very small issue
Review 93:location is amazing literally across the road from one of the best beaches I've seen - clear waters, sandy/rocky beach not too crowded as we were there in early May staff also very friendly!
Review 94:The receptionist was very skeptic when we told him that we booked from booking.com..he was wondering(!) if he had a free room and asking questions like if we had confirmation on email by booking.com and things like that..made as nervous and suspicious..
Review 95:My husband and I really enjoyed the location of the hotel. Beach area right across the street. We loved the dining/bar area. Great place to sit and enjoy the scenery while having a bite to eat or a drink.
Review 96:The wierd chair bed randomly placed in the room
Review 97:The location, the view from the balcony, the friendly staff
