Reviews for Alderdale B&B

Review 1:no downsides! Place is Great!

Review 2:Everything! The owner is super kind and helpful, there's a parking spot on site or you can park on the street. We wanted to have some food and she recommended a really nice Scottish bar called Hootienanny and as we were eating and drinking, a group of people with music instruments sat next to us and started to jam some really awesome celtic music! Really loved it and would go back! Place is super clean, everything works perfectly and breakfast is great aswell!

Review 3:The weather was dire!! If Annelise could organise something a little less wet for next time, that would be great.

Review 4:The property is a very quaint cottage with lots of character. Although it is compact, I would say it is ideal for a couple. Very clean, neat and tidy. The breakfast provisions are excellent, as are the overall amenities. Great location in a beautiful village. The owner, Annelise, was very accommodating without being over the top. Would certainly recommend this place to other travellers. Fantastic value for money.

Review 5:Nice location a short walk to the loch. Friendly owners. No excessive charge for having dogs with you. Room nicely decorated, and self service buffet breakfast provided everything you need. Excellent dog friendly restaurant next door.

Review 6:Alderdale was immaculately clean with a super selection of things for breakfast. Annelise was friendly and catered for all our needs. Added extras like games, books, dvds and useful items were a lovely touch and the whole experience of our night at Alderdale B&B was fantastic. Thank you Annelise!

Review 7:Beautiful little place with everything you would ever need and more. Very comfortable bed and so peaceful you'll sleep like a log. The owner, Annelise, is very welcoming and helpful. Would reccommend highly and we will be back smile emoticon

Review 8:A beautiful little B&B in a beautiful location. Close to Loch Lomond, with a fantastic restaurant next door. The owner was so nice and kept in constant contact with me and it was lovely meet and talk to her. Probably the most well stocked and decorated B&B I have ever stayed in. Even the continental style breakfast which I thought might not be up to scratch was perfect and so well thought out. Highly recommended

Review 9:If there was an option for hot breakfast, it would have been great. Especially with a restaurant just next door, hope some arrangement could be made in the future.

Review 10:Peace and quiet, lovely village setting, short walk to the loch with ferries starting from there.

Review 11:Breakfast wasn't bad, but I would like to see more slices of cheese and ham or other meat. There were only diffent types of marmelade, a babybel cheese and butter.

Review 12:The cottage looks great. It looks like a cottage out of a fairy tale book.

Review 13:We stayed initially at Inverbeg for a cpl of days as part of our mini moon then stayed at Alderdale in Luss for our last night X lovely room and the shower is fab :) Annelise is really nice and helpful. Everything you need in a beautiful location and good value for money considering the amazing scenery ur in X recommended :)

Review 14:Lovely little B&B for an overnight stay in Luss. Annelise the owner was friendly and helpful. Excellent communication prior to arrival. Highly recommended.

Review 15:Fresh milk in a bottle. Large shower. Host had thought of everything. We even found a collection of toiletries in the bathroom cupboard. Whilst Luss is hardly large, Alderdale is best placed for eateries etc etc.

Review 16:Could possibly be a bit short on space for a couple or family, but more than enough for a single person.

Review 17:Great location in the middle of Luss with a restaurant next door and a pub a very short walk away. Particularly well situated if you're going to one of the wedding venues nearby. Clean, comfortable with a great breakfast selection, all the coffee/tea you need, and great help/communication from the owner. Couldn't have asked for more.

Review 18:Having to leave, will stay longer next time

Review 19:The location was excellent. Next door to a bistro serving meals till 8ish. The room was spotless and a continental breakfast that was more then enough. The room decor was lovely and a very comfy bed. The owner was very friendly and contact regarding the booking and time of arrival was very good. We will recommend to family and friends when they visit this area. We will definately book again when we go up to Scotland again next year .

Review 20:The hot water system played up but once I told Annaleise she said she would get the electrician in.

Review 21:Right in the middle of the village with bar and restaurant next door. Very cute cottage, lovely host and very good continental breakfast provided.

Review 22:I loved Luss, location, food, cleanliness, really comfy bed and being next door to a lovely restaraunt. My next visit I plan on staying longer. 10/10. excellent. Thankyou so much.

Review 23:There was no working wifi and phone service was poor.

Review 24:The location was terrific and right on the Loch. the room was very clean & had a very modern bathroom.

Review 25:Very welcoming, clean, cosy. The breakfast was provided to the room which will liked very much. The owner was very friendly and helpful. We were pleasantly surprised to find in the bathroom cabinets quite a few toiletries which you usually don't expect, including toothbrush, shoe polish, deodorant etc. We warmly recommend this place.

Review 26:Bed was so comfy, bathroom a good size and an excellent shower, also a very substantial breakfast. The owner was also very helpful and nothing was to much bother.

Review 27:The shower played up a bit and needs a bit of tinkering to get the temperature right.

Review 28:Clean and tidy and had everything we wanted. Nice lady showed us what was there. Very happy that we could bring our little dog along. Breakfast was great and liked the fridge idea. Next door to a great eatery that we had our evening meal and were able to take our dog into

Review 29:Nothing

Review 30:This little cottage is perfect. We only stayed for one night but could not have asked for anything better. Annelise was on hand to welcome us. The little extras that were in place were an added bonus.

Review 31:Very friendly owner, nothing was to much trouble. The B & B was the best we had ever stayed in, bathroom was excellent, and the breakfast was very good. Also lovely Bistro right next door, which was also dog friendly.

Review 32:The room wasn't very big, not much space to put your clothes or move about. Also, the shower seemed to constantly change from hot to cold and the water pressure was very low. Not a big deal though.

Review 33:The room was impeccably clean, nicely furnished and everything worked as it should. The B&B is right in the heart of the small town Luss with a great pub just next door. All for a very fair price – this was one of the cheapest B&Bs of our journey. The breakfast comes in a basket to make yourself, we found this worked very well for us.

Review 34:Staying for just one night on our way North, Alderdale was a perfect stopover with a great view over Lomond, good restaurant and a busy hostelry close by.

Review 35:I was pleasantly surprised upon entering the cottage. It was exceptionally clean and the decor and furnishings complimented the cottage. Review 39:Not to happy with the shower as very difficult to get hot water and good pressure. Also door came off as I went for shower

Review 40:Very clean and cosy which was great as it was very windy and heavy rain during our stay.

Review 41:Only very small downside for me, no wifi. Thiis wouldn't normally be an issue for me but no phone reception in Luss for either my husband or myself (different networks)

Review 42:Beautiful picturesque location and accommodation. Clean an tidy.

Review 43:The cottage is split in to two rooms, both with ensure bathroom and outside seating area. We had our own keys and the owners live off site but are available if needed. The decor is lovely, it's warm and we'll heated with everything you need for your stay. Wonderfully appointed bathroom with large shower; ample continental style breakfast supplied in room for you to choose just when you fancy eating; supplies of all those little things you may have forgotten; early arrival possible; dog friendly with no extra charge.

Review 46:A little unusual arrangement; breakfast provided in room, with table and chairs. Owner lives a few doors away. But it works well. The room is comfortable and the en suite excellent. It is well positioned for this lovely town by Loch Lomond.

Review 47:If you are with vodafone you will struggle for a signal in Luss- nothing the owners can do - but useful to know if you need to take a spare mobile sim :)

Review 48:Even the hairdryer was great

Review 49:A very peaceful a lovely village with one of the best cottages ever! Annelise has kept everything a traveller might possibly need, so you'll never have to call her for help. There was no hot breakfast, but everything that was kept for breakfast was wonderful and filling.

Review 63:A very nice little cottage to stay at. The house itself is split in half and you get your own suit with bathroom and a small front yard. Your breakfast is nicely packed up in a basket and awaits you at your arrival, so that you can stand up as early or late as you want and prepare breakfast for your loved one. You also have a toaster and a fridge in your room where the milk and juice as well as jam for the breakfast is stored. The TV has a DVD Player included and a small selection of movies was available.
