Reviews for Glenview

Review 1:After arriving 2 hours after normal check in hours the owners of the property were only to happy greet us on arrival and make to sure everything would be satisfactory. The rooms were luxurious, warm and very comfortable with plenty of fresh fruit, cereals, tea, coffee and hot chocolate.Staff were very friendly and made our stay an even better experience, one not to be missed,

Review 2:Didn't really see the host. Had to go and find him in the Bistro. Breakfast although we knew was continental came in long life pre- packaged. Had to put it together yourself. Not good value for money.

Review 3:Location, clean, warm, wifi and TV. Good quality decor

Review 4:It was not mentioned that we were entitled to a free cooked breakfast at the sister restaurant, we went to pay and were told it was free - we didn't go the first day as we thought we would have to pay. Also the food supplies in the room were fine except on both days we were supplied with out of date croissant

Review 5:The location and accommodation was fantastic. Owners very nice and helpful. Free breakfast

Review 6:The self contained aspect of the accomodation was perfect and although we were only there one night passing through, the Staff were more than friendly and helpful...could not recommend Glenview enough. Shame we could not get back in for our return journey home, but we now know where to stay as a stopover on our travels to Skye.

Review 7:We were a bit disappointed not all the breakfast things were replenished for our second morning.

Review 8:The room was lovely, we especially loved having all the breakfast facilities in the room!

Review 9:We couldn't connect to wifi. Dusts all over under the bed, otherwise clean.

Review 10:The quality level of accommodation, all facilities provided, liked the food, location, private garden. I lfound information provided about location and do list was useful.

Review 11:No welcome, door locked & had to go to a bistro for the key, Room had not been cleaned, filthy shower, dead flies on window sills. & tissues under bed. Advertised as full scottish breakfast,DIY b/fast (2 croissants in cling wrap &4 slices of bread that was like blotting paper with some cereal.) left on a small slatted garden table with folding chairs (very uncomfortable)in small sun room.milk in a fridge that needed defrosting & cleaning.(milk in an Ikea bottle that clearly hadn't been washed properly as the label was still on the side) No comfortable seats just the garden chairs. We couldn't find anyone to book out or discuss any problems with. The room is advertised as £90 but we see that £92 .50 has been taken from our credit card . Certainly not value for money & we are left wondering how they have ever had any good reviews.

Review 12:The room was adequate & quiet & had it had been cleaner would have been quite nice.

Review 13:Stayed in the Sun Room shower very small and needs modernised. Could do with more sockets in room near a mirror

Review 14:Location good Owner very helpful. Food at the Bistro really nice and good breakfasts. All the staff really friendly

Review 15:no wifi in the cottage

Review 16:Just arrived home from a wonderful 2 day break at the south cottage at the Glenview. Hubby and I had a wonderful stay here. The cottage itself is adorable with everything you could ask for and probably more when leaving your home for a weekend. the bed and shower i must add are excellent and could have taken them home with us. we ate at the village restaurant every day and nite which the staff were very pleasant especially lynn who was like a breath of fresh air and made our visit to the restaurant delightful. We also went on the island boat trip situated further down the beach from the other boat trips which again the man couldnt have been nicer this trip was only £10.00 per person and was definitely worth it highly recommend. We never met the owners but May who manages the restaurant gave us our keys and settled us in and was very friendly also. overall our stay was amazing and definately be back :) kind regards William and Emma x

Review 17:Beautifully decorated and cosy room. Continental breakfast supplies are available in the room which meant we were not tied down to fixed times for breakfast. Beautiful location with lots of places to dine and a perfect base to explore Scotland from.

Review 18:Not met on arrival. Had to wait three hours for check in. Thought might have to find alternative accommodation-very stressful start to our stay. Owner appeared to find this situation amusing but did apologise. No breakfast until 10AM at café nearby.

Review 19:Recent change of ownership has meant that to get the full breakfast you pay for you have to walk to the owners Bistro which doesn't open till 10.00am.The breakfast provided is a light continental and as the owner is not on attendance this establishment is more like self contained. No doubt the previous owner ran it differently.

Review 20:Lovely setting quiet area.

Review 21:Nothing at all.

Review 22:Very pleasant stay with a sumptuous full Scotland breakfast; we didn't have to consider food for the rest of the day. The bed was very comfortable and the rooms spaciousness was a plus. Expect warm hospitality.

Review 23:Noisy wooden floors. Self service for continental breakfast. No cooked breakfast available in the breakfast room. You had to go to the cafe if you wanted a cooked breakfast. No real interaction with host unless you went to the cafe. No payment facilities on site.

Review 24:Excellent location. Room was very good and beautifully furnished. Very good sized bathroom with large shower. Host was friendly.

Review 25:After check in had taken 25 minutes including two trips to a nearby cafe to collect the keys, we learnt that this B&B is now under new ownership with the takeover having been completed a few days ago. Perhaps they were just having initial teething issues but at £90.00 for a double, the service doesn't represent value for money even though the property itself is lovely and has clearly been very well designed and looked after by the previous owners.

Review 26:Great sized room, very well designed and feels like home.

Review 27:Was not a bad experience. Sheep skin rugs are not a good choice in our opinion, they collect a lot of dirt that is not easily gotten rid of. Previous tenants' ditrious was visible, same with shower mat.

Review 28:Location was great, 30 minutes from the airport in Glasgow, nice place to walk around.

Review 29:Poor service. We are asked to fill the breakfast sheet upon arrival. The housekeeper keep on knocking my room to ask me whether make up our mind at 6:00 pm. I said I would complete it later, but she just keep on knocking my door and disturbing us. She said she need to go out for dinner. I see no point for us to complete the tomorrow breakfast sheet just because she needed to go out for dinner. After we checked out and left the house for less than one hour, I got sick and asked for the toilet, she rejected, claiming she has no toilet in her house.

Review 30:Wifi could be a bit more stable

Review 31:Very good comfort, and interior design. Very nice service minded landlady Impeccable execution, felt almost like a high end boutique hotel.

Review 32:Our only regret is that we stayed one night and missed breakfast because we had an early plane to catch!

Review 33:The house was lovely, clean and all facilities just pristine.

Review 34:An extremely comfortable suite, with a modern bathroom with great shower and lots of fluffy towels. Amazing breakfasts, freshly cooked. Very high quality accommodation and Jane is an excellent and very professional host

Review 35:Nothing at all!

Review 36:Very clean and comfortable room suite. Friendly welcome by the owner of the B&B. Excellent location with easy, private parking. Very convenient for dining at the excellent restaurant of the Loch Lomond Arms Hotel which is a few yards away and just across the road.

Review 37:There was nothing not to like about the Glen view just excellent from start to finish.

Review 38:Me and my brother Patrick and his wife Helen liked everthing about the Glen view the owner could not do enough to make us welcome made my sons wedding stress free once again thank you Glen View.

Review 39:Early breakfast & check-out, would have liked these a little later, maybe breakfast at 10 & check-out closer to 12

Review 40:Location. Incredibly comfy bed!!

Review 41:Excellent location, room, gorgeous electic art and a wonderful host. We stayed for 1 night as an over nighter on our way back to the UK fro the Isle of Skye and thoroughly enjoyed our accommodation, the quaint village of Luss and a great meal at the Loch Lomond Arms Hotel. Excellent day/night had.

Review 42:Not a thing

Review 43:Everything! Our bedroom, bathroom and sitting room were perfect. The complimentary whiskey and beautiful roses were small touches which affected us in a big way. Thank you, Jane, for being a delightful hostess in every way. Was located in the middle of Luss, a small and charming village.

Review 44:From the time we entered the door we were delighted with new and unexpected little eclectic details. The owner has a fine hand at decor and very pleasing taste. The room was spacious, comfortable and so pretty. The breakfast was tasty and filling too.

Review 45:Non Aplicable.

Review 46:I liked everything about the Glenview, the propritor, the decor, cleanliness, breakfasts, comfort, and most of all help and humor if anybody has anything bad to say about the Glenview they should stay at home, and i have been all over the world for a bed and breakfast Manifique.

Review 47:Absolutely nothing but praise for the glenview bed and breakfast and would absolutely stay there again.Jane made us feel so welcome, the place is spotless and decorated to a very high standard.

Review 48:You will recieve just the right amount of attention not to much and not to little a perfect combination. The room was lovely the breakfast was hearty and the village was delightful

Review 49:The owner is extremely nice. I got engaged to my wife during our stay here and the lady couldn't have been more welcoming. She even gave ua a gift! Very kind indeed. Oh, and the room even came with a little complementary whiskey. Excellent.

Review 50:We had a really lovely time. This is the best B and B we have ever stayed in. So comfortable and the owner clearly loves her job. Breakfast was outstanding.

Review 51:The latest you could have breakfast was 9am and it felt a tiny bit rushed. For us that was not very relaxing after a late night out. However it was still worth it and we would go back.

Review 52:We were very grateful that as a lesbian couple we were made to feel very welcomed and at ease. Just as it should be.

Review 53:Beautiful b&b in a beautiful setting, decor stunning and everywhere spotless. Jane is very welcoming and accommodating, breakfast is fantastic and there is so much choice. Will be returning very soon!

Review 54:It is almost better than a hotel!! I love all the decoration in the house which was delicate and lovely!! Jane is very nice and made a delicious breakfast for us.

Review 55:Nothing. Faultless.

Review 56:Jane, the owner was the perfect hostess. Accommodating, friendly and helpful. Beautiful room, loads of space. Immaculate. Lovely wee extras, postcard to send, a wee dram each, nice cookies, toiletries etc. Delightful decor made it feel a home away from home. A cliche but true. Breakfast was awesome, full Scottish breakfast with porridge for starters and everything on offer you could imagine.

Review 57:Was expecting an average b and b for the price we paid, was so surprised with everything the place had to offer. It was well above the standards i had in my head, so pleased with everything. Easily 5 stars.

Review 58:Nothing to find any fault with.

Review 59:Spacious and comfortable room with excellent service from the host. Breakfast was plentiful with many choices and well cooked. A delightful B&B.

Review 60:There was nothing to dislike our stay here was perfect

Review 61:Our daughter chose this establishment as it was near to the sea plane trips on Loch Lomond. We had a lovely time and could not fault anything would not hesitate to stay here again.

Review 62:Jane is incredibly welcoming and warm. Her home is very charming and close to the lake perfect for day and night walks. The room is clean, functional and big! I recommend her place for few nights to enjoy the beauty of Loch Lomond!

Review 63:It was comfortable with good bedding and modern bath facilities also had a small sitting room attached to the bedroom. Lovely village and while the hotel was close to the main road the room was very quite .I wouldn't call it luxury though and the Decor was a strange mix of kitch artwork and ornaments -definitely quirky but very good scots hospitality

Review 64:Stayed at Glenview for one night while attending a wedding at Lodge on the Loch. Can't rate this b and b highly enough - beautifully decorated, modern facilities, ideal location (only a few minutes walk to Lodge on the Loch) and a great breakfast for a very reasonable price. Having seen the rooms at Lodge on the Loch, I'm v. glad we opted to stay here!

Review 65:Could find no faults whatsoever.

Review 66:Everything was excellent and well thought out, it was probably the nicest B&B accommodation we have ever stayed in. Thank you.

Review 67:Like a boutique hotel!! The room should be described as a suite as it included a seating area. Individually styled accommodation with everything you will need for a restful stay. Complimentary dram too! Freshly prepared breakfast prepared by the friendly and helpful proprietor. First class.

Breakfast was excellent, with first class produce and all in very generous proportions. We would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this cracking little B&B to anyone.

Review 73:The whole experience from the beautiful room to the fantastic breakfast Nothing was too much trouble for the owner jane Excellent location Well worth a visit

Review 74:Wifi connection in our room was weak - actually I had to go into the main hallway to establish a connection.

Review 75:Beautifully appointed, lots of (free) little extras in the rooms - even a small decanter of whisky - and a sewing kit! Delightful location.

Review 76:The room was so comfortable and had everything you could want for an overnight stay. The guest lounge and dining area were tastefully decorated. Jane was so welcoming and the breakfast was excellent.

Review 77:Beautiful B&B in stunning location. We stayed in the 4 poster bed room, it was stunning. It was large and clean with unique decor. The breakfast was lovely including a cooked breakfast with fresh fruits also. We checked in late after check in closed due to my mistake but the owner was lovely and very understanding.
