Reviews for Apostolata Resort and Spa
Review 1:The shower did not have a shelf to put my toiletries on and the shower and toilet were one room so I had to put my toiletries on the waste paper bin.
Review 2:Everything from the room, bed and food.
Review 3:The toilet opposite the shower created water problems. The hours for use of the pools could have been extended. The 3 pools were all 1.4metres deep which meant that I could not use them.
Review 4:The staff generally and especially the receptionists were very polite and nothing was a problem for them. The general ambience of the resort.
Review 5:it is a fair walk into central Skala so I would recommend planning to take a cab on the journey back to the hotel especially if it is in the midday sun or at night time! the wifi is pretty patchy
Review 6:Nice pool area, really helpful staff, would be good for an easy family holiday. Great base if you have a hire car during your stay
Review 7:This is definetly not a five star resort. Only few superior rooms could hardly reach the status of four star hotel. The standard room with the seaview where we stayed in the first night ( room 215 ) was incredibly dirty, the tv was not working and the balcony door was broken.
Review 8:The private pool of the superior rooms was great experience. Breakfast was ok, both continental and english. Juices were poor quality. Dinner was delicious with a lot of dishes to choose from.
Review 9:Not the best location, away from the action, not even close to the bar. Very poor free wifi, can not pay for normal operation!
Review 10:Good hotel, but not 5 star. They offer free transportation, but in limited hours. Great pool!
Review 11:The only bad experience was trying to slide open the heavy toilet door, that came without a handle of any sort. With persistence, the door willopen. Wifi was slow but understandable, as we are on an island! Wedidn't need it during our stay anyway! Also the hotel doesn'tprovide toiletries, however it does have a mini-market that sold it atreasonable prices *phew*
Review 12:We loved the surprises Apostolata has provided us with. Not knowingdinner was included, it was so kind of the staff to point this outduring our stay. Also to have €20 off the spa treatments wasirresistible! There were also lively events that made us want to stayand not leave the hotel compound. The entire experience made us feellike we were having a weekend everyday!
Review 13:Rooms whilst large are basic (for the rice you pay). No kettle . Ants in the room- although they did come to sort this quickly. We booked a superior room with sea view - lovely but should have had bathrobes and slippers - we did not
Review 14:Location is amazing with beautiful views. Spa is fantastic
Review 15:The air con was not adequate in our room though quickly and satisfactorily addressed. Steps not ideal for all, but not a problem for us.
Review 16:The sea view, pools, food and all the staff were excellent. The saxophonist was quality.
Review 17:Hotel minibus driver was a bit grumpy and unfriendly... also wifi connection is really poor but most of the restaurants/bars in town have better wifi.
Review 18:Amazing views! The beach in town was great as well. Food was great, staff were helpful and polite. Really relaxing... we enjoyed every minute.
Review 19:bit of lack of communication in what's in booking .com invoice on items provided for superior room and had to ask for dressing gowns slippers tea coffee facilities and also drinks arrangements with signing bill despite paying cash still tryed to charged drink bill because I signed I had a disagreement with this so if paying cash up front dnt see why signature is needed this needs changing.
Review 20:The hotel it's self very beautiful and clean
Review 21:Wifi didn't work from our room, we used own internet via phone. Had to pay extra to use the safe in our room! (20Eu/week to use the key) Shame that the quality of coffee and orange juice at breakfast was poor Overall the good ruled out the bad though
Review 22:Worth extra for upper level sea view room which included a super relaxing sea view from the glass sided bathroom! Friendly staff throughout, very helpful poolside staff. Good daily housekeeping. Meals were well organised with good choices and variation (thank you morning pancake man!) Useful complimentary minibus to Skala beach/town
Review 23:Food selection for vegetarians could be better. Putting little bits of meat and fish in basically vegetable side dishes is very tiresome!
Review 24:Good large pool.
Review 25:The lady doing the cleaning in next room - during the morning - kept yelling to her colleagues - that was a conversation! they kept doing that for more than half an hour.
Review 26:Tons of food! You can choose whatever you like and how much you like! good desserts! Very helpful staff!
Review 27:Price of drinks too high and would have liked tea and coffee in the room
Review 28:Everything about this hotel was fantastic. Staff couldnt do enough for you. Rooms were kept spotless as was the whole hotel. Pools were beautiful :only downside was the steps to climb back to the main part of the hotel. Perfect location. Value for money exceptional. Food great every day with so much choice.really cannot fault it.
Review 29:The only thing to mention would be - as wonderful as our suite was, the walk up to the resturant and reception was a task - but! by the fourth day the hill and steps were less of a struggle.
Review 30:This is our second successive year at the Apostolata - and it was further enhanced by a room upgrade to a suite, looking out on the Ionian sea. We travelled the first week in August with our daughter, who enjoyed the Island and our superb suite allocation. It would not be, beyond the realms of possibility that we might make it back a third year running and get a suite with a private pool. Total bliss.
Review 31:Many ammenities however of low quality. For example the dinner bouffet had a lot of options but the food was not so good. It is rated as a 5 star hotel but the quality of the rooms does not correspond to that.
Review 32:Nice location
Review 33:Time table of shuttle bus for Scala until 17:30.People should pay taxi if they want to stay longer in Scala beach, due to no transport after 17:30.
Review 34:The sea view from hotel very nice:))
Review 35:We where waiting for two hours until the room gets ready and after that the plumps had problem. Slow wifi connection
Review 36:Location is great the breakfast is more than perfect
Review 37:We had a fantastic time especially because the staff was incredibly helpful. Especially Evagelia. The location and the room we got were amazing! Awesome place and we will stay there again, for sure!!! Thank you! Claudio & Roberta Arena
Review 38:Television - just a few TV channels with very poor quality, and mainly in Greek. No music channel at all. The vegetables in the restaurant during breakfast or dinner were not fresh, they seemed to be sliced the previous day.
Review 39:Location - easy to access from Prors ferry and very close to Skala village where there is a very nice beach. Hotel facilities - endless pool, sea view. Food - extencive catering, delicious and various.
Review 40:The staff of the hotel, the view from balcony, food, the room, gym, pool... Everything
Review 41:Not enough seating around pool area
Review 42:Night performances.
Review 43:Amazing hotel, good location, friendly members of staff.
Review 44:WLAN slow, good for holidays
Review 45:Perfect beach for diving, superb food, phantastic view
Review 46:Fantastic pool
Review 47:The floor in the room wasn't clean enough
Review 48:Everything was good
Review 49:It's pretty hilly with lots of steps but good exercise :-)
Review 50:Staff, pool, weather :-)
Review 51:Weak animation Too expensive in relation to services offered No oriental food offered as I was expecting
Review 52:Seaview Pool
Review 53:No luxury bar in the evening outside
Review 54:absolutely gorgeous!!! we loved it !! the best hotel from our experience ! highly recommended !!!
Review 55:we really liked the accomidation, the food buffet sevice was excelent , pool and all facilities fantastic and the staff were so freindly and always helpful especially the childrens entertainer george ! would definately return !
Review 56:No where to sit quietly after dinner due to live music every night in bar / lounge.
Review 57:Location of our room No. 22 was good because it was far enough from the bar, not to hear the night time music.
Review 58:The evening meals were not very nice at all, the jacuzzi in the spa was not free though their brochure suggested otherwise, drinks were very expensive, the bathroom smelt of sewage (poor drainage)
Review 59:The pool(s), the sea view, the location
Review 60:Too far out of Skala Ant infestation in the room When sitting on the balcony , the view of the Med was blocked by a wooden safety bar . Steep steps up to the restaurant and bar
Review 61:The suite was great Pool area very good Staff very friendly
Review 62:- Poor kitchen, cheap foodstuffs - 5* evaluation is Very excessive - Poorevening guest program - Distance at the city - Internet service - Cheap beverages
Review 63:Seeview Facility design and arrangement Surrounding garden spot Quiet and relax
Review 64:The photos don't represent exactly all the rooms of the hotel, so don't get fooled! The room that we stayed in didn't worth the money that we paid!
Review 65:The view was great!
Review 66:The value for money could have been much better if extras like whirlpool and hamam were included. Also negative is the fact that the hotel is around 5 km away from the next village and due to the bad infrastructure somebody cannot reach the village on foot. The shuttle bus which is provided by the hotel has does not operate during nighttime.
Review 67:Excellent site, very friendly personnel, luxurious breakfast.
Review 68:The rooms wasn't refurbished and the quality of furniture is quite poor. The food is good but the same every day!!
Review 69:Good location with a very nice view over the sea. The sunset is magnificent. Spacious rooms.
Review 70:Room was clean but signs of mould in shower area, Ants in the fruit on arrival. If cats are allowed then there should be provision for their welfare i.e. feeding stations, and health checks and breeding control by vets as in many large European Hotel Groups.
Review 71:Location, Food, Friendly Efficient Staff,
Review 72:the air conditioner was no working properly and make a lot noisy both room 007 and 009
Review 73:the staff it brilliant, and the food excellent.......
Review 74:The room was not the one I saw during the booking (I didn't ask fora change though). The room had a strange smell - probably was closedwithout fresh air for quite a time. The bus fair is extremely high.
Review 75:Staff Pool Food
Review 76:The Hotel is perfect! The staff the same. The romanian Girl(I think HerName is Cristina) and boy(that is taking you to the room) areThe best!!The food is very good. We will def. Come back here again!! Keep thegood work.
Review 77:Dinner and lunch for half board it to early because breakfast it from 7to 10 am lunch from 12.30 t0 14.30 dinner 19.30 to 21.30 , if you awayfrom this time, forget
Review 78:Excellent hotel ,I will coming more time.
Review 79:Take note that some of the rooms can be a bit further from the eating area and amenities but this wasn't a problem for us at all. Actually we really liked the fact that the rooms were spaced out.
Review 80:Seaview rooms have amazing views and are very spacious, but just a slightly dated feel about it. I've got to give credit to the staff here - they are always tentative and helpful. We stayed on half-board and I am usually a fussy eater but found there was plenty of options that I could eat and enjoy. Pool is not heated so was a bit cold for me in May but it's a very big and luxurious pool. There is also an infinity pool near the bar that is in the reception area also. I would definitely return to this hotel.
Review 81:We were there as part of our honeymoon travels which we stated when we booked & we were given a room with two single beds pushed together over the noisy restaurant. When we told them that the room wasn't acceptable they shuffled us to a room with a filthy bathroom. Not very romantic or relaxing AT ALL!
Review 82:Would have liked more fresh fruit with the breakfast
Review 83:Quality of the food, comfort of the rooms, swimming facilities and the really friendly staff
Review 84:Everything. Very nice and confortable hotel.
Review 85:Excellent views, very friendly staff and a place for relaxation. X
Review 86:Most relaxing seven days we have ever spent on holidays. Excellent staff, food and swimming pool.Nice place for families with children.
Review 87:The hotel is nice. There has a big swimming pool, which is very clean. The breakfast is good. Very good choice for that price.
Review 88:lack of more artistic activities, only one night a week is less
Review 89:location
