Reviews for Porto Angeli
Review 1:-Bathroom was very dark, maybe get better lights.
Review 2:- Quiet location - Good beach - Food was good for the money - Drinks good for the money as well - Friendly staff
Review 3:The toilets in the restaurant, reception area, left a lot to be desired. Not cleaned often enough, and could do with updating. The loungers around the pools need replacing. The towels and bed linen have seen better days.
Review 4:We liked the location. The food was very good. The reception staff were very helpful
Review 5:Wi-fi is chargeable, but I guess that had been mentioned a number of times. No mini-bar in the room.
Review 6:Absolutely lovely staff and very good service, clean hotel and facilities, relaxing atmosphere, quiet - what you might really want sometimes.
Review 7:Resort is far from center so you need to a can which costs like 55 Euro I was expecting more seafood but it was more meat Basically no entertainment for young couples without kids. I was expecting some kind of disco or some place to handout after dinner.
Review 8:Staff was super friendly. I liked the overall concept of this resort. Very green and clean environment. Beach was clean. Food was plenty and good.
Review 9:wifi is free only in the lobby. It's a family hotel so sometimes the childrens can be a little noisy in the private pools.
Review 10:Very nice hotel. Located in a little village on the sea, having the advantage of being able to take walks there with shops, restaurant and supermarkets, and also having the sensation of isolation in the nature as the hotel is in the end of the village. Small beach but beautiful. Very helpful and smiling staff. Good food in the buffets even if the variation is a little bit poor but everything is delicious. We had a room with private pool and it was great. The views are amazing. Perfect place to relax and disconect.
Review 11:The food was not great. There wasn't many options and the taste wasn't good..
Review 12:Private pool was great. Stegna beach is a very calm and lovely place.
Review 13:- Food quality should/could be enhanced - Small swimming pool not appropriate for a such ''resort'' - not enough sunbeds, so you have to wake up early to get a place otherwise you will spend your time in the lobby...
Review 14:- friendly staff - very clean amneties - the beach - the variety of the food
Review 15:No wifi signal at junior suite .......but you don't go on holiday to check emails
Review 16:Amazing location and staff. Spa ladies and treatments were top class. My girlfriend and I went for some massages etc ......Ava and Maria were excellent and very knowledgable.
Review 17:All inclusie is always nice, but the quality of food and drink (like orange juice, sausage) could be better. Pay wifi is kind of depressing in 2015. Trampolin was shut down after second day in our stay, although it's out kid's favorite.
Review 18:Nice crew, beach it basically part of the hotel complex, no road in between beach and hotel. Car rental company at hotel is extremely nice and great deal (ExtremeCars). Check it is till 12.00, very comfortable. We would definitely go back. A great beach (Tsambika) is so close, 7 min by car.
Review 19:Please note that most of the food with pork, but there is also a pool bar replacements like pizza(also you need to ask for a pizza without pork). Rooms are amazing but there is rooms are a little bit old fashion.
Review 20:the service was excellent, recommended to book a car from the airport for all the stay because it's around 35 minutes from the airport and from the city around 45 minutes, the hotel was perfect, The service was courteous, pools are large and varied, excellent all inclusive, is located in an amazing place of Rhodes. we took a room with private pool, a suite.
Review 21:- Room need renovation and more cleanliness (there was cockroaches the size of the finger in the room); - We get private pool (we didn't ordered this because of little child) but it was pretty dirty and fenceless. - Food was almost the same each day; - Stairs was slippy near the pools (my wife felt down from them with child when she was going from one pool to another - lucky nothing serious.
Review 22:- Very good parking for car; - Big territory; - Place for children to play; - Pretty good beach with free sunbeds and umbrellas;
Review 23:The overwhelming amount of entertainment, music and people asking yousilly questions all the time. It's not necessary! And please addmore non-smoking sections (outside dining area was a non smoking area, which was really nice!). Overall people didn't smoke nearchildren's facilities which was also nice.
Review 24:Rooms 510-519 were the best. And a bit away from all the entertainment, which was a little overwhelming (we normally would not choose an all inchotel because of the entertainment). The 2 minutes walk up the hill wastotally worth the peace and the one step away from the terrace-pool.Staff was very helpful with every need we had and always had a smile for us. Stegna is really nice and easygoing spot without too many tourists. We had some small walks and climbs, rented a boat one day and spent time at the beach. All with our 3 year old. Good morning run from hotel to fisherman's marina to the other end of the beach and back was nearly 4,5km.
Review 25:At first they gave us one of those not renovated room which was something completely different from the description and pictures of the rooms. That was unacceptable. At the end we get the room we expected and paid for. Very poor WIFI.
Review 26:Quiet, relaxing bay. Comfortable stay. Friendly staff. Nice beach and pool facilities. Appropriate for small children.
Review 27:Most things to be honest: Staff is terrible. Never have arrived anywhere feeling so unwelcome, and almost immediately regretting my stay Food is very boring The facilities are awful: big open spaces with awful purple couches, everything looks old and damaged Complete lack of character - this place tries to be everything for all men, and in doing so ends up being absolutely nothing, No character. I can't imagine anyone going here would leave home and remember any 1 thing that was particularly beautiful, good, tasty. interesting about the place. It's just a place you go to eat, drink and sleep. You can do that anywhere in the world.
Review 28:I suppose this hotel is totally fine in case you have absolutely no taste or don't really care about quality. Everything is sort of okay - the room, the food (although, not really), the facilities. The only thing that sort of stands out here is the beach, although it's very small and I suppose in summer there is no way you can get a sunbed without having to run and fight for it. Overall, this place is just so tasteless, bland, and very uninspiring. It has all the potential to be an amazing place, giving you a fantastic experience, but they clearly have no intention of doing this and it's all just very flat and boring.
Review 29:The suite was very tired and needs updating - the bathroom was not good - shower not powerful and old fashioned. However I understand these rooms will be updated before they open again next season.
Review 30:My friend and I chose this hotel because it had a private plunge pool and a fabulous terrace with sea view. Food was good and all the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful - Irene at reception was lovely.
Review 31:Shabby lobby, restaurant, public toilets; unsatisfying food quality, very poor WiFi.
Review 32:Location, maisonette, staff attempts to meet our needs.
Review 33:- room decor was nothing like as advertised - pool bar closes when it rains so it's a very long walk to the main bar for a drink
Review 34:- location - good choice of food - cleanliness of hotel in general
Review 35:Our room was one of those that really need some refurbishing. Tiles at the bathroom were broken, and the room amenities were very limited for a 4 star hotel. While we had our private pool, it was not so private at all, because there are only small walls that protects you for your neighbours, that was a little bit disconcerting.
Review 36:Everyone was very friendly at the resort. We were impressed by the service and the great food selection. You could see on every step that they really care about the surrounding vegetation, and the access to the beach was very easy.
Review 37:Quality of drinks was pretty poor on the all-inclusive package: didn't seem to be any fresh juice at breakfast and the standard of alcoholic drinks was not good. The main negative however was that the double bed we had was particularly hard and uncomfortable. Aside from this, our stay was very pleasant and we had a great time.
Review 38:Very friendly staff, great value for money, good beach and pool facilities. Nice and quiet/relaxing. Great location and free parking makes it worthwhile hiring a car and travelling up to Rhodes and down to Lindos.
Review 39:nothing - a great experience
Review 40:Fantastic location, exceptional hotel staff who are friendly, great value for money, rooms with private pool are to die for :)
Review 41:The food of the restaurant is little bit the same every day. Would be perfect to change a little from day to day.
Review 42:Very good location of the Hotel. Very good room - with the private swimming pool. Very friendly personnel. Perfect cleaning of the room! Nice private beach, but little small, sometimes difficult to find the place.
Review 43:-food quality -room forniture and facilities (very old - es. very noisy air conditioner)
Review 44:-beautiful context and location -gentle reception personnel -position convenient for most sites (30-45 min drive car ti Petaloudes, Lindos, Kallithea Springs, Rhodes old Town)
Review 45:Nothing.
Review 46:Great location. Beautiful beach/sea, very friendly staff, great room (was two large bedrooms, two balconies), cleanliness, excellent food. Highly recommended!
Review 47:Things that we don't like mostly came from "all-inclusive" character of this hotel ;-) My wife criticized coffee. The beer which was server all-inclusive was quite poor. I dislike the fact that you got drinks in small plastic cups, so when are child went sleep we have to make several trips to bar to take some alcohol, which was generally poor. There was no drinking water at the beach so we end up buying water in near shop. Animation for children didn't work well in this sense that hardly any children attend this animations. Last thing if you are young person without children you could be extreme bored in this place. Beside hotels there was some nice taverns, but I haven't seen any parties/people dancing
Review 48:close localization was amazing. Hotel is located on a hill at the sea side at the bay. The view from terrace was IMHO strongest point of hotel. The staff was very friendly (but all Greeks on the Island was extremely friendly). The food was good, although quite repeatable there was a small quisine which served each day something special. Pools IMHO was very good suited to small children (2 and 5 years). Hotel have private beach, which was OK, although it could be a little more wide and quite rocky if you go into the water. Beach was sandy. At the hotel there is cheap and good car rental company
Review 49:Honestly, nothing. Well, maybe the bees during meal time, but one can't control nature:) We could have chosen to eat inside, but the view was too nice to give up for bees.
Review 50:We enjoyed our holiday very much. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had a problem with our room, which they corrected by moving us to another room. We were very satisfied. The buffet offered a nice variety and very good quality.
Review 51:Certain rooms need updating (but these are supposed to be done thiswinter) the rooms that have the pool attached need the pool to betotally enclosed and also totally private rather than being open at theend and low wall sides, to stop other guests and their children walkingpast the end of your pool or peering over the wall in a verydisconcerting manor (as happend to us on a daily basis)
Review 52:All the staff, from the cleaners to the top managers, were so friendly. We have never had such excellent service even in 5* hotels these guyswere the best. The food was great and the running of the place wassecond to none we loved it.we are going back next year
Review 53:not much flexibility beach towels were not free
Review 54:Breakfast Personnel kindness
Review 55:Lunch & Dinner
Review 56:Rooms with private rooms, also we thank you Konstantinos Ketentzoglou for helping
Review 57:Unclean common toilets
Review 58:In this hotel for the second time. Very please. Cosy rooms, food and great staff. Very good rest.
Review 59:Pool closes at 7pm. No free wifi in room.
Review 60:Free beach umbrellas. Good range of food and cocktails in the inclusive package.
Review 61:Very good service and very polite staff
Review 62:Wifi was bit hit and miss
Review 63:Location perfect ..own private beach ..great staff..good all inclusive package..clean and beautifully maintained
Review 64:the was oncomfortable
Review 65:very good staff the food was ok comfortable hotel
Review 66:No disko at all, no loud music during day.
Review 67:Everything was wonderful! Staff was excellent, food very tasty.
Review 68:"Don't throw toilet paper in the toilet..." Very low quality all inclusive service.
Review 69:Internet wifi is just a disaster.
Review 70:Location. View. Staff friendliness and efficienty. Quality of the food Garden well maintained. Quite place.
Review 71:They often mark the food wrong and for me that needed glutenfree food i spend some time looking down in the toilet. I gave them a shout, but they did not improve and sevral times the food was mark as glutenfree and it was not
Review 72:The beach, the pools
Review 73:I love this place, it was fantastic. Not a bad word I can say here, the food was delicious, the staff was friendly and helpful, the beach was next to the hotel, clean rooms with views of the sea every day they came clean the rooms. describe in one word fantastic. would instantly want to go back!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Review 74:I do not have any concerns.
Review 75:Very beautiful hotel close to the beach. Especially recommend for families with baby ( even small ). Good food with many choices, service very good and very clean. Perfect location in small village.
Review 76:A little thing: the hairdryer was not easy to use...
Review 77:The staff is fantastic! They are all very kind and friendly. The food was lovely, there is a lot of choice for everyone's taste! The room was nice with a beautiful view and everyday it was clean! There is a variety of facilities to do every day and the beach is on 50m from the hotel. The location is perfect, with a car you can reach the beautiful towns. You don't even need a navigation system! If you would like to travel to Rhodos, you certainly needs to chose for Porto Angeli!!
Review 78:Too many children. Cold water in the pool. Hotel beach is too small, cramped. Not always timely eliminated the shortcomings in the room.
Review 79:Cozy place, friendly staff, good food.
Review 80:Speicy dishes. Change of beach-towels isn't free.
Review 81:Location, friendly servicemen, clear sea, a lot of kindly taverns and shops.
Review 82:Everything
