Reviews for Newmoor Park

Review 1:Martyn and Joseph were outstanding hosts, absolutely nothing was too much for them. I have never given perfect marks on B&B stays beforebut I can find no faults at all here, top notch

Review 2:Absolutely nothing to fault!

Review 3:Very comfortable room with lovely views over extensive grounds adjacent to the River Tamar. Tranquil surroundings. Spotlessly clean throughout and beautifully decorated. Fresh milk and water provided in room, in addition to facilities for hot drinks. Superb, hearty breakfast, with excellent choice and beautifully cooked. Martyn and Joseph are perfect hosts, giving such a warm welcome and keeping everyone well entertained at breakfast! Nothing is too much trouble. Newmoor Park has to be the best B&B in the area!

Review 4:Exceptional accommodation. Martyn & Joseph made us welcome and couldn't do enough to help, even changing the duvet, as we were too hot the first night. We will be returning shortly on a visit to the area and will be staying at Newmoor Park.

Review 5:Suggest communicating the 11pm in advance of stay.

Review 6:Liked the warm welcome, cleanlness, comfort, and standard of food. Going the extra mile to provide a high standard of service.

Review 7:Fabulous! You simply can't get much better than this. Our hosts were so convivial and accommodating and everything was thought of in our room. Fresh milk and water, nibbles, and the most comfortable bed in history. I had the best nights sleep in months as my husband will attest. This is a perfect B&B and we will be returning.

Review 8:Martin and Joseph super friendly and welcoming. Room was great and also breakfast cooked to order and exactly what we wanted. Would like to come back to try yurt.

Review 9:There is nothing not to like about Newmoor Park.

Review 10:We had a lovely stay and from the moment we arrived at Newmoor Park we were very well looked after. Joseph and Martin are very welcoming and are fantastic hosts, and the cooked breakfasts in the morning are just brilliant. The room was very tastefully decorated, and the bed so comfortable.

Review 11:we had the nicest hosts ever, very helpful and very welcoming . we just cant praise them enough they really go the extra mile .everything was perfect, loved it .

Review 12:I travelled with my elderly mum and we were both made to feel extremely welcome as soon as we drove onto the property . Jo and Martyn had thought of everything for your stay to feel comfortable but also luxurious, and nothing was too much trouble for them.

Review 13:What a fantastic stay. Martyn & Joseph made our stay very enjoyable. Always very helpful when suggesting restaurants and places to visit. They keep the guest house, grounds immaculate.

Review 14:Very friendly and helpful hosts. Nothing to fault at all .lovely grounds. Booked restaurants for us on the 2 nights we stayed. If Carling did B&B..............

Review 15:Lovely country property with beautiful Yurt. Good facilities, great location for exploring Cornwall and Devon. Great for family holiday or romantic break.

Review 16:This was our first time glamping in a Yurt, and it was a fantastic experience. We stayed in the red Yurt which was in an excellent position right next to the duck pond and chicken pens. The Yurt inside was beautiful, with a lovely comfy king size bed and everything you could need. We loved cooking on the fab BBQ. The Yurt was the perfect combination of all the luxury of a hotel room whilst being connected to the outside and surrounding nature - Far better than any hotel stay. The Yurt was a very comfortable temperature at night and during the day (far better than a normal tent). We had mixed weather during our stay, but even on the rainy day, we loved playing games in theYurt with the woodburner on to keep us cosy and warm. We paid an extra £10 to have a large fire at the fire pit. It was well worth the money as Martin and Joesph started the fire for us and supplied plenty of wood to see us through the whole evening. We spent the evening toasting marsh mellows and playing cards by the fire. The location near Launceston was perfect for travelling around Devon and Cornwall. We visited Tintagel caves, which where great fun and took a trip to the Eden project which was about 45 mins away. Martin and Joseph where the perfect hosts and we would highly recommend Newmoor Park to anyone.

Review 17:Great hosts in Joseph and Martyn. Warm and friendly. Property sits in large gardens alongside the river, ideal for strolling around or playing with kids. Great breakfasts! Made a good base for exploring Devon and Cornwall. Highly recommended.

Review 18:We liked absolutely everything. A very peaceful and beautiful location, Martyn & Joseph are very welcoming and friendly. Their attention to detail was fabulous including the added touch of the biscuits and fudge in our room on arrival. The river and the tranquil views from our balcony gave it that special touch. Thank you x

Review 19:Very clean and the proprietors are very attentive and helpful. The rooms are very clean, well-furnished with good wifi. Breakfast was excellent and the grounds are expansive and well maintained. I don’t think the website shows how nice the grounds and accommodation are so it’s a pleasant surprise when you arrive. We often visits friends in this area and will be returning again. Also check out the yert accommodation in the grounds as great for a family trip

Review 20:Nothing.

Review 21:Couldn't fault It. Lovely Bedroom and bathroom both decorated to a very high standard. Very comfortable bed with quality linen. Fresh chilled milk in the room and great selection of tea/coffee plus lovely selection of biscuits. Excellent breakfast with locally sourced ingredients. Attention to detail throughout was fantastic and the proprietors were very friendly and welcoming. Recommend Highly.

Review 22:Everything was lovely, room deco was lovely and cosy for a country b&b but unfortunetly the bed was really uncomfortable to get a good nights sleep. Think the mattress needs changing. But everything else made up for it.

Review 23:we like it all

Review 24:the whole thing the location of the place the setup, the campfire, barbecue, showers everything this is really good trip. if you haven't tried it before then you should try it

Review 25:Nothing

Review 26:Everything was excellent and nothing was too much trouble. Very relaxing atmosphere and lovely grounds and rooms. Location was idyllic with easy access to main roads with ease. Still trying to work off all the wonderful breakfasts

Review 27:-A bit far from places to eat or if you would like to grab a pint

Review 28:-Spacious, well appointed rooms -Delicious breakfast -Friendly hosts -Beautiful house

Review 29:A small past experience in camping it's a nice to have skills in case you are considering taking a yuck, but not fundamental.

Review 30:Fantastic location Nice equipment for Yuck and kitchenette. The staff is lovelly. I really suggest this place if you need a nature-based weekend, relaxed and not chaotic.

Review 34:We loved everything about this awesome B&B! The owners are great people who clearly love what they're doing and it shines through in every detail. From the fluffy towels and top notch bedding, to the delicious breakfast and too-good cookies; Newmoor Park is a haven of goodness not to be missed.

Review 35:Struggling to find fault. Only one is the tight turn (from the south) into the private drive to the building.

Review 36:Where do I start - Hosts were great. Very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was more extensive than we needed (lovely fresh cooked), rooms were superbly equipped (even had an iPhone charger built in), teas/coffee/hot choc etc in rooms with 'jar' of luxury biscuits. Setting is in the country (across the river from local rugby club) in its own 9 acres where in 2015 they are adding luxury 'Glamping Yurts'. Altogether a very relaxed feeling of luxury.

Review 37:The rooms are very clean and comfortable. Hosts are welcoming us from the beginning and always with generous hospitality. The place is convenient to explore around. We liked the place so much that we already made a next booking immediately after coming back.

Review 38:nothing at all

Review 39:Martyn and Joseph were super friendly, warmly welcoming, adding special little touches to our stay - like playing music from The Polar Express during breakfast, when our visit to the Dartmoor Polar Express experience was the sole purpose of our visit, something they only discovered when we arrived! The rooms were spotless and again had lovely little touches, like yummy cookies and hot chocolate. The breakfast was outstanding and again individual tastes/dietary requirements were catered for. Leftovers were fed to the chickens, something the children loved being a part of. Thank you so much for adding hugely to such a magical weekend.

Review 40:There is nothing I disliked

Review 41:Absolutely everything was just wonderful. The welcome, the setting, the breakfast I could go on and on about this place. The owners are fabulous, so attentive and helpful. You cannot fault this place. The wi-fi isn't free but for the price of the rooms you cannot complain.

Review 42:There was nothing we didn't like!

Review 43:We loved everything about Newmoor Park. The attention to detail was second to none, the breakfast gorgeous and the hosts most welcoming and charming. The location is stunning and we will most definitely stay there again.

Review 44:The location, our bedroom, all the facilities on offer and in particular I would like to mention our hosts Joseph and Martyn who were so friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Thank you to them.

Review 45:Bed was super comfy. Breakfast was superb. Interior design would put a lot of boutique hotels to shame. Hosts were friendly and professional.

Review 46:Everything was perfect!

Review 47:The rooms were spacious and had nice little extras such as fudge and fresh milk. The children loved playing on the swing and treehouse. The breakfast was the best we've had! Joseph and Martyn were very welcoming host.

Review 48:Having to leave!

We had the King suite with private balcony.Room was beautiful, equipped with everything you need and more.Breakfast was amazing, we tried 3 of the 4 options available... Fullcornish, American and continental. Hosts we full of local knowledge andsuggestions of what to do, where to eat for dinner. Local pub grub wasamazing too (Lifton Hall). Review 54:Me and my partner booked last minute and stayed 2 nights in the luxury yurts... And WOW... Luxury was an understatement, every little need is catered for by Martin and Joseph with exquisite passion, the work put in by the both of them is in abundance throughout the 9 acres if land freely available, newmoor park will for sure be our desired destination in the near future!! 6*

Review 55:A really nice B&B situated on the outskirts of Launceston. The 2 guys who run this were extremely helpful and insightful of the area and things to do in & around etc. - they couldn't do enough for guests staying. Accomodation was spotless and the breakfast was fantastic

Review 56:A fantastic short break with my partner at Newmoor! I have to say Joseph and Martyn were the perfect hosts and made us feel very welcome. Review 57:Newmoor Park is a great place for a relaxing stay. We stayed in a beautiful yurt, luxuriously equipped with everything we needed - and such a comfortable bed! The grounds are lovely, with lots for the children to do - badminton, pool, swimming in the river. We loved the absence of wifi (and the kids didn't really mind either!)

Review 58:After only one night at this luxury guest house we felt more like we were visiting friends than paying guests. The hosts are friendly without being intrusive and the property has been furnished to a very high standard. The food is very good and nothing seems to be too much trouble for them.

Review 59:Our family, including our three kids (ages 15, 14, 11) had a great four days here. The kids stayed in the yurt and loved the sleeping arrangements, the candles, the fairy lights, and the hot chocolate that Joseph served them. We cooked on the barbeque one night, roasted marshmallow at the fire pit, and the kids loved the dogs, chickens, and baby ducklings. They explored the river, climbed the tree house, bounced on the trampoline, and played badminton too. The breakfasts were wonderful with lots of choices, and we enjoyed getting to know our hosts and fellow guests. This is is great location and we did many day trips. Joseph and Martin had great recommendations for places to eat and things to do. Thanks, Joseph and Martin!
