Reviews for Lake Pochard

Review 1:Bed was little uncomfortable and too small to fit a travel cot in double room it's fine if you don't have babies though!

Review 2:View and location lovely can't fault the value for money

Review 3:If you need a cot or high chair, you need to book this ahead. We didn't and none were available when we arrived.

Review 4:The lodge exceeded our expectations, really big and well made, with pretty much everything you would need. The setting was very nice and lots to do in the area.

Review 5:No iron...just the ironing board! The walk around the alke turns into a walk through debris at the top end of the lake...shame.

Review 6:Large, warm rooms, with all the extras like towels and soaps provided. Amazing view from the lodge. Dedicated parking space. Very quiet, very peaceful nights, and beautiful sunrise and sunsets. No wi-fi in the lodge!

Review 7:No prior indication given that pets could not be left alone in Lodge while we visited sick relative (reason for staying at site). Balcony not enclosed - dangerous for pets/young children re proximity to lake. Settees uncomfortable. TV poor reception Ceiling lights needed.

Review 8:The lakes The ducks and swan (hope he's ok) The view Lovely staff Peacefulness Well kept surroundings cleanliness of Lodge

Review 9:Very poor cleanliness inside and out, poor quality of fabrics and furnishings, kitchen equipment etc. T.V.and WIFI not up to modern travellers expectations.

Review 10:Very spacious, lovely to open doors onto lake view.

Review 11:Beds are small and uncomfortable. Only 4 plates, mugs, cutlery sets etc, that means you are always washing up. No wifi and signal at cafe is not that strong. No mobile phone signal.

Review 12:Location, ideal base for the cotswolds

Review 13:Surrounding areas still under development or still being quarried with resultant areas of industrial waste piles and general mess. Not visible from this site but noticable if you walk out. Noise from 2 major roads nearby. Staff at cafe too busy to have time to book us in or out properly. No wi-fi, not even at the cafe as advertised outside opening times (wasn't at the location during opening times to test it).

Review 14:Size and layout of cabin + view across the lake. Excellent cafe.

Review 15:Fishing for residents could have been free. I'm not tight but £5 everyday soon adds up.

Review 16:Excellent value for money, great location. Lovely setting.

Review 17:No wifi at all (it is available in the cafe but I was never in when the cafe was open) - this is not a complaint as such, as you should be able to live without the internet for a few days!

Review 18:Beautiful location, lodge well decorated, fantastic condition, has everything you bed, warm as toast, quiet ....just lovely. Will definitely book again :)

Review 19:Some of the furniture was old and tired such as sofa and dining room chairs. With the amount we paid for 3 days they could improve on the finer touches to make things more comfortable.

Review 20:Location is gorgeous and perfect for a chill out break with family or friends.

Review 21:Beautiful cabins, well equipped kitchen, the most relexsing out door with a little lake. Everything is very clean. We had the best week traveling around, relaxing, cooking and having fun. We will be back for sure.

Review 22:Outside chairs and tables needing cleaning. Loads of cobwebs and verandah needed sweeping. No brush available. BBQ also needed a good clean and tray underneath needed emptying. Cushions provided for chairs outside very stained.

Review 23:Inside very good nice and clean and tea coffee toiletries a nice touch.

Review 24:The outside of the lodges is very drear. Would it be possible to varnish the wood in some way - We are not asking for Scandinavian bright colours, but just something a little more inviting. A few trees between the lodges and the water would be an added bonus - but generally the outlook is good and there is no feeling of crowds even on the bank holiday weekend.

Review 25:Ideal location and convenience for joining in a South Cerney resident's birthday celebrations. Children enjoyed the freedom and the many attractions in the water park itself. Adults enjoyed quiet evening walks round the lake - and everyone enjoyed watching wildlife with their young! and watching the fishermen at work!
